Sounds like Batman Year One and Batman Ego thrown together. Except this is year 2. The darkness in Batman was ready to murder everything while the Bruce Wayne side was heavily drowning in PTSD.
The fights scene brutality of BvS was different than it was in The Batman. Affleck's Batman had the strength of at least three men the way he threw bad guys across the room or bent them into the ground. That was the stuff of the comic books; whereas, Pattinson's Batman had considerable strength, but it didn't cross the line into fantasy, remaining in the real world of human physiology. Personally, I liked them both, but it's still an Apples & Oranges comparison.
Ben Affleck Batman Is Like A Year 12. Batman More Seasoned. And Experienced. Batman. This Batman Robert Pattinson Batman More Like Year 2 Batman so It's Like A Origins Story On Batman
I think what they mean is they both gave some proper fight choreography in comparison to previous versions of Batman. Warehouse fight set the standard for them to step their game up.
This is the greatest Batman movie ever made, it perfectly encapsulates every single aspect of what the Batman should be, to criminals, he’s the living embodiment of fear, to the GCPD, he’s the world’s greatest detective, and to the people of Gotham, he’s a signal of hope. i loved this film and already can’t wait for the sequel which i think is set up to be an adaptation of “No Man’s Land”

I have been WAITING for your review. The fact that you start with ‘anyone who trashes this … I might have to fight…’ tells me everything I need to know. //buckles in// The Batman is phenomenal. WB could have taken the safe route and said - just give us the formula again. But they didn’t. They gave Matt full control … and it paid off, in dividends. This is how good it is. I saw it last night - and I haven’t been able to sleep yet. I literally have been laying here reliving moments and feelings all night to the point I can’t even sleep lol. NO SPOILERS so I will just say… Robs portrayal of not only a vulnerable Batman but a closed off Bruce was enthralling. You’ve NEVER seen a live action version like this. Every single ‘support’ player had multiple shining moments. The batmobile is a fucking BEAST and that scene needs to be seen in IMAX. Our chairs literally shook. The story itself is mysterious, twisting and heartbreaking - I actually had to wipe a tear a time or three. And the score was insane. I did not feel the run time - in fact, when I felt the climax approaching, I was in disbelief that two hours had passed. Bottom line - go see it. As soon as you can. It’s an experience like none other. 🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇 3.1.22 / 3.3.22 / 3.5.22 / 3.6.22 🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇 #TheBatman #TheBatmanMovie 🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇
My stand out scenes: 1. Bruce wincing at daylight when at home and putting sunglasses on. 2. The look of fear on Batman’s face before he glided off the GCPD roof. 3. The Riddler’s scream before he kills the mayor (terrifying). 4. The Penguin. Colin Farrell was excellent. 5. The intro “shadows” scenes. What a film.
What i loved about the movie was that they finally touched upon the detective aspect of Batman, calling this movie an action movie would be a serious understatement, it was a full fledged detective thriller. The action sequences were brutal, the cinematography was gorgeous and that Batmobile was a goddamn beast lol
Just saw it this afternoon... Robert Pattinson killed it. The whole cast killed it. Such a good movie, thriller to the end. Great pacing... Worth seeing in the theater...
Every review, every critic I've seen or read just confirmed what I thought All of the people who doubted of this movie, of this cast specifically doubted about Robert Pattinson will have to swallow their words and pay some respect to him

Just sad the spoiler free sections guys as I'm watching the movie tomorrow.. but your talk has got me more hyped than ever!!! Simply cannot wait !!👊👊👊👊
**SPOILERS** I LOVE the fact that this Batman is still sloppy, his attacks are very wild without the perfect technique we expect at times, the way he landed after he went through the window of The Riddler’s apartment was awkward and jarring, and his mind was tested to it’s peak by The Riddler. By the end of the movie, he did not only grow physical and intellectually, but also morally by embracing a more “heroic” side of himself rather than the fear he was supposed to instill in criminals to exact his “vengeance”.
The best thing about this movie, its actors, creative team, etc... You say this is the best Batman movie or whatever. That team has everything up their sleeve to have a sequel that out does the first movie. Once you set up the world, characters, and get some plot points starting. You have less restrictions holding you back for the second go around.
Going tomorrow, so excited to see Robert Pattinson as Batman and the fact that he’s only two years in doesn’t have everything figured out and Bruce is still living with the trauma after his parents got killed and he’s a recluse and withdraw and his being Vengeance and being Batman is how he’s trying to survive by going after criminals to the point he doesn’t care about himself or what happens to him! I mean Bruce/Batman has always been broken and in pain over this lose of his parents, it’s his reality Bruce is the mask and Batman is the real Bruce, all I can see is the incredible amount of growth insight and experiences Batman will be going on to have in this trilogy and for all the characters in this journey, even the villains aren’t fully formed yet! Has anyone see Tenant with Robert Pattinson? The character he plays in that movie is very charismatic and one of best things about it! I can see Robert playing that billionaire playboy as Bruce and then go right into play Batman! So I’am all in for the Matt Reese’s Robert Pattinson trilogy!
Love your review...for those who say it's too long and say it could've been shorter, then the same can be said for the Lord of the Rings trilogy,Jackie Brown,Dances with Wolves,The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises;etc....looking forward to the movie even more...thanks guys

@@MrMrjack18 I gave it a well deserved 8, but I can see why others gave it an 9-10, plausible either way.

The Batman is phenomenal.

Im telling you guys now. This has everything We batman fans have ever dreamed of. This is the real BATMAN
My stand out scenes:
The batmobile intro 🖤
What i loved about the movie was that they finally touched upon the detective aspect of Batman, calling this movie an action movie would be a serious understatement, it was a full fledged detective thriller. The action sequences were brutal, the cinematography was gorgeous and that Batmobile was a goddamn beast lol

**SPOILERS**
I LOVE the fact that this Batman is still sloppy, his attacks are very wild without the perfect technique we expect at times, the way he landed after he went through the window of The Riddler’s apartment was awkward and jarring, and his mind was tested to it’s peak by The Riddler.
I damn near yelled out of the sheer greatness I was seeing at many points in the movie. The movie is phenomenal

His entrance was the best of all Batman entrances
To me, this film was just as good as Batman begins and the dark knight. I only wish we could have seen the Riddler a little more, I was sooo captivated by Paul Dano that I didn't want the games to end. 10/10 for me and I also agree, I legit want to go watch it again! and I don't honestly think I've ever said that about any film. 3 Hours seemed to have flown by, good thing we picked a movie theater that had comfortable reclining chairs.
Struggle Nation crew... you are Vengeance!! Stay up, and stay at it fellas. Love your reactions.
This movie was way better than i expected. I felt every minute of that movie, too bad my bladder had to empty twice but well worth the 3 hours.
My favorite part of this movie was when Batman slipped into the batmobile and was revving it up! That bass coming from the speakers and the sound of that hemi and the look of the car from the distance looked very scary and horror like! Man that scene was so fuckin BOSS
Creatives projects like this need to be supported. This is why I go to the cinema.
i felt the length of the movie being long but none of it felt unnecessary, everything in the story was needed and enjoyable , i like that it brings you into the new batman universe and settles u within the story in 3 hrs instead of shortening it since i can’t picture this movie being shorter
I loved how much inspiration was drawn from Batman media as a whole, there was nods to Year One, The Long Halloween, Earth One, probably many more that I missed, but it was amazing!
This Batman is the best version for me. Battinson is perfect.
Robert Pattinson gave us an AMAZING performance!! It didn't feel like 3 hours....it felt like 1.5 hours.

Perfection of the Batman be more of a noir detective film, but appreciations to Matt reeves have the movie get dope action pack fight scenes in the film that gives a vibe of a mix of Arkham games and bourne films choreography.
People have to be nitpicking about everything.
I'm just grateful they made this movie. Watched it today. Loved it. It's a 10/10 for me. Will watch it again. The detective and problem solving skills was awesome like playing Arkham games. This Batman doesn't give two shits about anyone, he just walks in a club and beat the crap out of everyone. He even beats up the corrupt cops 🔥. Good plot. Good cast choice. Penguin was funny af 🤣. The batmobile's rev sound was epic af. Riddler, Catwoman, gordon, falcone, penguin, Alfred was great.
The fight scenes was damn cool. It was as if Darth Vader was beating the shit out of the thugs in a dark alley. He's use of gadgets and shadow stealth was great. I really liked this movie. I hope they will release the 4hour cut.
