Hey boss, it's safe to read the original first book, "Dune". These two movies split that one book in half. If you want to watch the 3rd movie before reading further, feel free, but the director will likely combine parts of the second book "Dune: Messiah" and third book "Children of Dune" to make the third film.
No? The first book is not finished, there’s still more. There could be some of the second book in part 3 but most likely this entire trilogy is just the first book. Go ahead and read the first book though if you want.

i typically hate girlbosses, but I think that zendaya's character wasn't given much to do. i actually loved paul's mother. she was all in on the swag by the end.
I haven't seen any other comments mention this, but the reason Jessica is able to talk to her unborn fetus is that the Water Of Life changed BOTH of them at once. The fetus (Alia Atreides) is a Reverend Mother already, with all the memories of all her ancestors, even though she hasn't even been born yet. And she has a future-sight ability almost as powerful as Paul's, too- which was no doubt why she was badgering her mother to do all that she did in the film. That one scene where she (played by Anya Taylor-Joy) talks to Paul is her leaving a message for him up in a possible future that doesn't even have to come into being (because they can both see it regardless), which actually happens in the book nearer to the end.
Heard they doing Deadpool reshoots. How much you wanna bet they saw this film and was like…um we thinking too small, this movie changed the game. This is what we hoped the creator was gonna be. Hollywood gonna learn today.
There are often reshoots in movies nowadays, especially big blockbuster ones. The question is only how extensive. Small reshoots are fine. Extensive reshoots are problematic
