I don't feel like I've accomplished anything if I have ride in a Camry or any other car that you see everywhere you look. Lexus, Audi, Mercedes, and BMW have a special feel to them that I love that regular cars will never have. I don't care if it is less reliable, I'm never going to be jealous of any Camry or Accord. I'm the same way about furniture and electronics. I'm still not impressed with the ct6. It has great features, but it isn't big enough and it looks just like the smaller Cadillacs from the front. If I sat in the back my head would touch the roof and my knees would probably touch the back of the front seat. This is a short guy car review that makes the car appear to be spacious.

It is incredible for all the reasons you state in the video. The ride quality, the steering, and the handling are incredible. This does not drive or handle like a big car. I still remember walking around a Cadillac dealership back in 1985, and there was a two tone silver and black Seville with a price tag of $28,000, now they have price tags of 75 to 100 grand.
Glad you like the CT6 but my ownership experience with three of these things has been awful. If you like driving a variety of loaners, when these things are in for repair, it's for you. Design, engineering and build quality issues have plagued this very attractive sedan since 2016. The 19's and 20's have the functional transmission, but the rest of the vehicle is identical to the 16-18's and not all that remarkable compared to other GM cars. Interior trim, wood, vinyl and simulated leather does not compare to other luxury cars. My new 2019 will be my last when the warranty expires. I was a Cadillac brand loyalist until I got stuck with the CT6's.
They probably will be pretty pricy even in 3 years or so! We are trying to find an XTS from 2017 to 2019 and have been unable to locate one under $26,000, most are $36,000 at a dealer fully loaded! The cheaper ones have the miles packed on them, have had 2 or 3 owners and are not pristine..a d don't have the sunroof/moonroof that should be on the Limited models! They should not be all black interiors either, in hot Calif!
I have a '19 CT6 Luxury and while it doesn't have all the 'goodies' of the reviewed car, it does provide some of the mystique. The 3.6 liter is more than adequate and it is definitely a driver's car. AWD is inspiring and unobtrusive until needed; my mileage on the highway just nudges 30 mpg (so efficient as well).
It is a great looking car, that could use better materials inside. GM is beyond stupid already killing this car. I just don't get it. It must have taken a ton developing it, marketing it, and then bringing it to production, all to then announce killing it. Why? If they price it same as a Lexus GS 350 or ES 350, with the base six cylinder, this will sell tons. But GM tries to make it as expensive as a 7 series. Ahh well. GM just doesn't get it.
In 2016, I bought the Cadillac CT6 Plat and it cost me 98k. As of today, I only have 46,000 mileage on it. The only difference is that I don't have Super Cruise, 6 cylinders, and 405 hrp. I compared my 6 cylinders CT6 to the 8 cylinders CT6 and I save a lot more on gas.
My man, you got raked over the coals for 98K. I'm not saying its not a nice car because it 100% is, but for that or even less you could have gotten a really low mileage S550, Flying Spur or S63 Probably still with factory warranty for sure. That being said the maintenance would have been more of a hassle on the others then on a Cadillac, but you should have waited at least the second production year to get the Ct6. Crazy that you only put 48K miles on it though. That thing is probably a garage baby.
This really is the Rolls Royce Equivalent for America 🇺🇸 This really is going to be a purchase when I eventually emigrate to the Philippines 🇵🇭 next year

The company seems to have done a 360 with the newer products, as I am not enamored with the loss of the CTS and ATS'S replacements of CT-5 and CT-4. Everytime GM finally comes out with a cool v8 sedan it gets shit canned. i.e the SS, G8 6.2, CTS V wagon/coupe. Its our faults for following the new norm of crossovers/SUVs.
There are aftermarket engine power enhancements on the market for the 3.0TT. One gives 15% power and torque increase. Haven't tried one, because the factory power is enough and I don't want to take a chance on the software doing something wrong.

Still think it's missing a little more Art & Science in it's overall design!! Being 2020 I feel Cadillac really needs to be more aggressive in their styling & interior design layout for $100 grand!! Hyundai's making great strides lately with their Genesis brand, & that G80 & especially the G90 luxury sedan are on par with their now German competitor's! Did I really just say Hyundai?? But seriously they are making some waves inwhich Cadillac should be careful with not losing ground to Hyundai's progressive marketing scheme! Cadillac needs to hire some new designers for their interiors. 🤦🏾♂️
98k for this car? Hahahahaha. These people are just crazy. There is a lot of cars offering waaay more than this Caddy for waaay more less. No thank you. I see now why GM are losing so much money and going to bankruptcy smh. I will take a KIA K900 anyday over this overpriced GM car...
This car is beautiful I grew up driving Cadillacs the car loaded good video
This is my choice for the whole family from me. 😇🙏
Sometimes you have to make the tough decisions on your own, Dr. Jerome Ellington Lt. Col. USAFR. 😂 Thanks for watching!
Nice Cadillac one thing wrong what was the thought process that went into....hey let's have pull up side shades....really lesser cars than this have power..if your rear shade is power why wouldn't you make the side shades power..whoever thought that was a good idea should be fired and whoever approved it should be fired also...pay attention to what's going on around you...oh I have a Cadillac by the way you have to pull the side shades up sorry...this one thing can be a deal breaker....Think McFly THINK
DO NOT BUY THIS CAR. Bad steering gear and front suspension. Start having issues with mine just a little over 35k miles
Shame that it's been discontinued ☹️
We saw similar reports, s blake. Now we're seeing that it may be just the CT6-V that's discontinued. Who knows, since Cadillac sent this one to us for review. Thanks for watching!
@@AutoAcademics They are still making it in China, but the Hamtramck Plant where it was manufactured has closed. The last CT6 was made in the USA in January.
Everytime GM finally comes out with a cool v8 sedan it gets shit canned. i.e the SS, G8 6.2, CTS V wagon/coupe. Its our faults for following the new norm of crossovers/SUVs.
This will be my next car for sure, I currently have a 2017 CT6 Platinum 3.0 TT, but would love to get that blackwing V8 with the updated front-end
The Blackwing is sweet, Michael DiBari. Thanks for watching!
There are aftermarket engine power enhancements on the market for the 3.0TT. One gives 15% power and torque increase. Haven't tried one, because the factory power is enough and I don't want to take a chance on the software doing something wrong.
Wonderful review. Have you reviewed the Lincoln Continental? If not, you should, for comparison...
We sure did, Jake Be. Way back when they first came out. Here's the link:. ruclips.net/video/syujW_J3Ew8/видео.html
The Cadillac is 3 years newer, though, so they may not compare quite as well, tech-wise. Thanks for watching!
Williams Steven Lopez Frank Taylor Jason
I just got one,I had a XTS and i upgraded and I’m not disappointed at all
It's a great car. Congrats and thanks for watching!
what do you miss about the xts? not sure i need AWD tbh
One of the best reviews and videos on RUclips! Owning a CT6 2.0E plug-in since new you hit every feature!
Thanks for watching, Norm T!
SHORT TERM OK, BUT NOT FOR LONG TERM.
WAY TOO MUCH TO GO WRONG!!!
WHAT ABOUT THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION?????
It leave all extra unnecessary stuff and make beautiful car. It makes a statement for sure
Good review My Brother. I subscribed to Your channel. Keep them coming.
I appreciate you, jacques55119. Thanks for the support!
Can Cadillac CT6 dethrone Lexus LS500
It dont have big ass screen its just like them gas guzzler suv
This car is absolutely beautiful I love your showing us everything that the car offers
Happy you enjoyed it, Charles Daubman. Thanks for watching!
Ron O'Neal would be right at home.
The unfortunate demise of the CTS-V & ATS-V has made me wonder what's going on with Cadillac plus this untimely death of such an amazing vehicle as this BLACKWING EDITION has left me perplexed!??
Don’t care what strides Hyundai has made that name vs Cadillac in terms of saying you have one don’t compare
@@marlinsmith6328 That's why they created the Genesis brand as in the beginning new beginnings for the car maker.
@@justmy2cents_ The point is no matter WHAT “Hyundai” creates they aren’t on Cadillac’s level. When you think of Hyundai you think of a accent. Kia is more relative to Hyundai
@@marlinsmith6328 Kia & Hyundai are in the same family like Cadillac & Chevrolet! I'm saying Genesis are making top grade vehicles for a company who hasn't been around as long as Cadillac(almost 120yrs) but look at their present condition! I challenge you to find a Cadillac with the design & interior layout better than Genesis' latest releases! I'm talking G70-G80-G-90 & the new GV70 & GV80 suv! I recently sat in a Kia K900 & WOW I was very impressed with the interior design, materials and build quality! The latest CT4 & CT5 sadly falls short of "awe" with regards to their interior & for thousands more I don't think so. I love Caddy's my father was a Cadillac man & so am I but lately I haven't been impressed! Their art and science campaign was promising but then they seemed to have just abandoned that philosophy all together! That's what bothers me about Cadillac.
@@justmy2cents_ NO DUH! And Kia and Hyundai on NO PLANET are at the level of CADILLAC never have been.
Great job as always
Thanks for watching (as always), anthony evans! 👍🏾
I want a Platinum with the blackwing. I'd probably have to buy an extra crate engine since they don't make them anymore but it's either that or get the 3.0tt. Either way I'd be happy having a rare car
Sounds like a peace of shit when the hood was up. Dam!
I like the #LincolnContinental better.. #Lincoln over Cadillac 💯
i have a 2016 CT6 and I absoluelty love it. It is a wonderful ride with great tech features. I will take my caddy over and lex or mercedees any day!!!!
Caddy pride! Love it, Alex Jones. Enjoy your car and thanks for watching!
@@AutoAcademics No problem!!!! Really enjoyed your review!!!!
That a beautiful lookin car I looking for one but it as to be the blackwing
Yeah, the Blackwings can be tough to come by, Murda Muzik. Thanks for watching!
$98k. Someone MUST b high.
Round exhaust looks out of place go rectangular
Superb review. One day.......in my dreams, I’ll be able to afford it. It’s surprising that for a $98K car it doesn’t have a V-8 option 🤔
Thanks, apiece ofdirt. Smaller displacement engines are the new normal due to CAFE regulations. Plus, now that new tech allows these smaller engines to make big engine power, we don't think they're going anywhere so we're slowly learning to embrace them. Thanks for watching!
I just can NOT get myself to even to wrap the IDEA of spending this kind of money on a CAR. I is going to drop in value as soon as it is drive. off the lot! AND it has been discontinued too! If I have that kind of money. I would not be spending it on a car, no matter how beautiful it is!
@@barbiekitty1 I agree 100% The reason you and I wouldn’t spend our money on something as ridiculous as a car is because we’re practical. I’m sure we both like nice things but this is excessive. I’d much rather buy a nice used car and put the rest of the money on a house or something that doesn’t deprecate as soon as you take ownership of it.
Why do American cars always have crappy mpg
It looks so good
Couldn't agree with you more, Tellie Smith. Thanks for watching!
Wow this ride is loaded.
Sure is, Rodolfo Aguirre. Thanks for watching!
Why in the Hell did GM stop producing this car is totally beyond any compression! Crazy!
Yeah. Seems they pulled the plug a bit too early on this one, TjBj. Thanks for watching!
This might be something I should consider instead of a full size suv, but still researching but won't buy a new one, too much for me.
Great review, thank you!
Thank you for watching, Adam Montenegro!
Heads up display is nothing new to me but for the younger generation it is. I've seen this on some Buick cars in the 90's.
OMG! The Ultimate sedan. Good review!
It's a great car, Joseph Archer. Thanks for watching!
Great review.
Thanks for watching, Richard McKinney!
Cadillacs are overpriced and they whole NO value NONE.
👎🏾
Really no different than large Benz, BMW and Audi when it comes to poor resale.
I'd get one.
Imma young nigga but I want one in silver
A platinum version an put vogues on it
Along with a black Lincoln continental
Wow I'm in love
Uh, you're referring to the car, right?😜. Thanks for watching, Angel Soft!👍🏾
lol
I hate Cadillac’s wood packages. They need to take a note from Audi or Mercedes and upgrade to open pore wood
Escalades have been available with “open pore” wood.
Great review , but at 98K it should have rear passenger wireless charging and heated and cooled cup holders. Other than that...🏁😎🏁👍
I thought the discontinued the ct6
Great review !!!
Nearly as good as an XJ. M.
