This hobby is cheap compared to a lot of people's hobbies. For what it is this hobby isn't too bad especially if you stick to the cheaper side of things with analog and diy planes, then it's just the goggles that can be expensive.
It looks cool, but the reality is the canopy of the plane isn't glass, it's plastic and is hard to see out of, things are distorted and the glair from the sun is bad, The head tracker gets old in about five mins. if you want to really fly FPV, you put a stationary camera where you can see what you're doing.
it would be fun if they created a kind of shell of an aviator helmet to put over the camera body and then added a face shield to cover over the camera lens.. then it would look like a tiny pilot is looking around.. if needed.. perhaps making translucent camera arms to attach the camera to to increase the visual effect of seeing a small pilot head wearing a helmet looking around?
Wow its only missing engine noise (of course theres none.) But the view is amazing. Proof we are living in the future others dreamed about. RC flying wont be the same anymore.
This is definitely better than DCS, there's a certain level of terror knowing that what you see is real, and every action you do has a real consequence.. I'd be scared to land it back
This seems much better than the normal way of flying RC where you have to see the attitude of a plane that's a tiny dot in the sky a mile away from you, and deal with the control reversal when flying towards you etc.

This is going to change the sport of RC planes forever. This looks like a blast.
No, it's not. It's been done for years already. No different from an fpv drone with a fake cockpit in front of the camera.
You also need a certain size of plane. I think at least a 4 foot wingspan before the cockpit is large enough to fit the camera and motion system. Although I did buy a servo recently that's a quarter the normal size. Cameras can't weigh that much...but I wonder if the servo is fast enough for seamless tracking.
FAA has entered chat.....probly get banned
@@fredstewartjr2196 FAA entered the chat almost 20 years ago when FPV started getting popular in the rc hobby and it's already been heavily restricted and now with RemoteID coming into effect literally this month FPV and normal rc flight is going to require a gps transponder as they are trying to give the skies to companies like Amazon and Google.
It's nuts how far technology is flying. I could only imagine how useful this would be in an actual mini combat jet that could be used in place of actual fighter pilots. Crazy cool Idea
That is freakin awesome with that I wouldn’t be afraid of flying out of view and having better control and perception of the vehicle. I’ve never owned a RC plane but that has always been in my mind about this hobby
Amazing! Could totally see this being used as movie miniatures
Thats what i thought
I’m standing here beside myself….. absolutely incredible!!!!
I see this in my collection very soon
That looks amazing, close to how it would look from actual thing 👍
That setup is simply amazing!
This was a awesome video, technology has really advanced for hobbyists to enjoy themselves better! 💯✊🏾👍🏾
This looks like DCS World when you manage to stay alive for 30 seconds
It's so realistic here you can see the leaves on the trees. And each blade of grass. And the devs saw fit to render stuff underneath the ground.
OMG! My life needs this!!
That's probably the closest you can get to flying a plane without actually being on one. It would be a dream come true for me! I saw a video not long ago, where a group of chaps built a rig that included a seat, throttle controls and a stick, to make the experience even more realistic. It was brilliant! Cheers from Patagonia!
This is awesome! Now just add an actual seat & lever set up like the plane would have & it would be insane 😍
This is sick 👏🏻
No…it’s healthy. 😊
I could watch the aerial footage for ages, it’s awesome
holy crap that is AWESOME
That looks amazing!
This is SOO COOL!!!
Looking really nice!! ☺
We need set up kits made. Or an item list. Bad ass.
Back when drones were coming out on the commercial market I had the idea to do something like this, but totally lacked the expertise to make it happen. So cool to see it happening now!
You have to promise me too make a in depth video on how to get the Fpv to work cause I can’t find any
If you’d like. Search up DJI Air Unit fpv drone installations & you’ll get some hints & stuff or maybe finding a video on how to do it on a drone but try & repeat on a plane
I believe Andyrc did some videos on a very similar setup. Painless360 also has a really nice pan and tilt 3d print and may have videos on the setup. Just look up head tracking fpv and you'll find tons of info.
Just need this setup with a laser tag system on the planes and that would be awesome!
The RC plane community is INSANE and I love it!
Gah damn… that’s a $700-$1000 setup alone juzt for this…. This hobby be hella expensive 😂
You realize most of these planes are well over 1000 themselves right? 😂
@@mustangdemon87 🤣🤣🤣. And the thing is you only get the plane and not the batteries & chargers for it. So overall, this is a expensive hobby. And the $700-$1000 setup price was just for the camera
@BV4551Pl no different then an rc car or truck. The x maxx is a grand itself. Then you need two 3s to run it. Or like my tmaxx 3.3 they don't come with nitro ether.
This hobby is cheap compared to a lot of people's hobbies. Do you know how much real aircraft cost, how about a ski pass, cars, motorbikes etc., gaming pc or games in general $60 a pop adds up quick, hell some people spend hundreds of dollars on stamps or dolls. For what it is this hobby isn't too bad especially if you stick to the cheaper side of things with analog and diy planes, then it's just the goggles that can be expensive.
As far as hobbies go, 1k is nothing
Damn, that looks amazing! I'm not into RC but I play WW2 flight simulators and this looks exactly like a game but with better graphics. So cool!
Cockpit looks great in flight… with a bit of CGI smartening up could even use those clips as cutaways for a film.!
It's exactly like what kids from my generation would imagine when flying our model airplanes. Excellent footage.
Looks like a real plane from the cockpit. Awesome stuff
Probably the cheapest way to a glimpse of what flying is like. This would be awesome in a gas RC plane, hear that engine roar!
Looks like the real deal. If the instrument panel had a little more detail, I would be convinced I was in the real aircraft. Amazing 👏
It looks cool, but the reality is the canopy of the plane isn't glass, it's plastic and is hard to see out of, things are distorted and the glair from the sun is bad, The head tracker gets old in about five mins. if you want to really fly FPV, you put a stationary camera where you can see what you're doing.
That is amazing best RC video from RC plane I’ve seen so far
it would be fun if they created a kind of shell of an aviator helmet to put over the camera body and then added a face shield to cover over the camera lens.. then it would look like a tiny pilot is looking around.. if needed.. perhaps making translucent camera arms to attach the camera to to increase the visual effect of seeing a small pilot head wearing a helmet looking around?
Как же это круто! Хотелось бы такое себе приобрести.
Dude !
This is amazing!
You can crash 💥 as many times as you want without injuring yourself 😂
FPV drones in general are a big hit in wars now........game changer. When can we have RC dog fights??
Incredible. It actually looks like CGI to me even though I know it's real!
I'd be scared to land it back
You should've done this waaaaaay sooner. This is awesome. It's like flying a real plane without the G forces. Lol!😂👍
Gotta say. Pretty damn brilliant!
This seems much better than the normal way of flying RC where you have to see the attitude of a plane that's a tiny dot in the sky a mile away from you, and deal with the control reversal when flying towards you etc.
. 22 l long rifle rounds also come in tethered strips, the bullet processing and barrels, set up can be made lighter with less structural integrity since it wouldn't fire near people
I can't fly any more because of health BUT this is next best thing. Love it. Real flying.
That is EXACTLY what I want for my RC planes. Glad to know it’s a simple setup
About two years ago a guy built a Big Jet fighter. The camera was built into the Pilot figures head! Really awesome with the head tracking.
Now you need to put a proper high quality glass canopy on the cockpit to eliminate that distorted vision.
👍👍👌👌
This is the coolest RC sht I've seen! The mini plane in midair looks like a real plane, as if ya were flying in War Thunder haha
Thats the coolest set up ever! On a whole other level.
OMG insane!! They have to start a Show Now "Fighter Plane Wars" 😮 That would be Killer..🛩️
My dad and I flew rcs in the 70s when everything was built by mail order even some of the radios as well. If he was alive today, damn Skippy he would have this set up.
