Wow, that's so smooth! Jealous of your runway too. Those mirrors really do add to the immersion, very sharp and clear. Thanks for the awesome video! Now we just need to get the glass cockpit working...
SWEET!!!!! Next thing you need to add is a ground station that gets telemetry down from a position gyro in the plane. Data from the gyro platform would be used to drive the X and Y axis of a gimbal ring that you , the pilot, would sit in the middle of. Plane rolls, you roll! A whole new level of nausea inducing fun!
you are bold to fly with no OSD nor autopilot with RTH, so said, I lost yesterday my Viper70 so equipped with analogic, and never came back when I lost video, too bad!
how difficult would it be to add a second head tracking unit behind yours as sort of a wingman … either just giving someone a ride so they can look around …. or some legitttt dog fighting you could have a wingman calling stuff out to you 😂
@@travtrd my buddy has a great setup tutorial ruclips.net/video/_V1Nma-tBOc/видео.htmlfeature=shared. For the most part its just a matter of adding equipment to existing airframes. The head tracking involves adding a tracker to the goggles that feeds to your remote, that signal then goes to your aircraft and via your rx and the gimbal serbos moves the camera. Its all easier than it sounds and the community support is pretty robust.
This is so awesome. I've doing FPV with other planes for many years but I'm about to setup my first EDF jet. I love long flight times. Seems like the Avanti might give the best? I would love an Intruder or something more scale though....
This was on 6000mah. The Freewing T-33 gets very similar times & performance. The E-Flite/FMS Viper 90mm is the king of cruise though, at least another minute of mixed flying similar to this. It's by far the most popular EDF FPV platform atn.
Nice flight! Love the view from top mirror. Wish the side mirrors could be adjusted so they show the view above or below the wing to form a more complete picture…
@@erichische thanks man. What transmitter are you using with your headtracking setup. I corrupt my jumper t8sg transmitter with my headtracking setup somehow and need a different transmitter.
So EDF's seem to be used for fun fast flying right? But isn't an EDF more efficient than an exposed prop? So why don't we see them in LR FPV setups? Sorry for noob questions lol.
Propellor planes are more efficient for long range fpv. Most edf jets only last a couple of minutes, and are mostly used in jets for a scale look and sound.
@@TurtleModeFPV they are cut from an acrylic dollhouse mirror. I used curved scissors to getthe rough shape, and then lightly sanded the edges. Lastly I used a sharpie on that same edge to make it appear to have a rim. Make sure to gave goggles on when you're placing them, having the tail or wings appear in them makes for more useful references.
I bought a flimsy doll house mirror for $3 from the craft store. The reflective piece in back was just foil on clear plastic. Cut to close with curved scissors and then 220 grit sanded them to shape. Just used a black sharpie on the edges to finish.
Awesome video! Surprised get such a long flight on edf. I fly jets but am interested in what a setup like this looks like. What Fpv equipment are you using and any videos you can suggest to get started with?
I was suprised it went so long on the 6000mah tbh. Flight times of 7-9min are fairly common on the E-flite/FMS Viper 90mm but not so much the Avanti. Fantastic! Great head tracking setup, clear mirrors and amazing RC airstrip. You’re lucky to have a place like that to fly. Great flying :)

Perfect and practical setup for an airplane.
One of the best FPV I've ever seen !!
The head tracking is very smooth but those mirrors steal the show. Great job!
2:26 That free fall is so insane!!
I enjoyed every minute of it ... Awesome 👍
I keep coming back here becoz youtube will not stop recommending
This. is. insane.
Looks great man, with this tiny mirrors and headtracking in the Cockpit.
Wow! love the instrument panel and the flying is awesome! WTG man! 👍
Great flight and set up!
seriously my favorite fpv to watch! you have full control of that airspace haha

@@GMastrob1 its a trick, there is no canopy, just a frame 🫣
Very good! Congratulations
Nice show and thanks for sharing! Do you think this type of FPV will be compatible with a 110mm sized EDF? HSD F-16 to be exact.
Thanks.

Circle city?

how did you do the mirrors?
Lol Ikr, and they work so well
Way cool
Looks like you were gonna do a bombing run on the vehicles below. Coolest video!
Top gun 💪
Like the mirrors lol
how are you getting 7 min of flight time?
Nice video. When you edit, maybe music instead of engine noise would be nice. Your favorite tune.
given people's definition of 'music' i think i'd rather have engine noise. it's more interesting.
Nice flight for a NOOB!
not flat mirror use curve mirror like in cross way
who cares
