after one week of hardcore drifting on t300 ffb motor died now iam back with my 2 old wheels logitech dfgt and g29 no doubt t300 rocked drifting for 7 days and putt smile on my face butt in a long run t300 got many issues on the other hand logitech g29 is a slow wheel butt in a long run g29 is a relaibility king butt slow and t300 got so many issues butt a fast wheel so good luck and have fun with your wheel

Some youtubers do video about hardware and leave out some interesting details thinking that everyone knows that. So it is really great that you detail everything cause then we know 100% if its worth buying. Very good vid!

The video evidence leads me to believe that the power chord was definitely not properly connected to the servo base. I can clearly see that it is not in there as deeply as it should be in your recording. Even checking the connection a couple of times would not have fixed the problem because you have to forcefully shove it in there. Sucks you didn't get to experience it because it's a much better base set than G29/920 and has an ecosystem full of upgrades which Logitech can't match. I wouldn't let what happened there dissuade you from going the TM route. Especially now that they have a Load Cell pedal set. I own it, and it is fantastic!
how did you figure out how to put it all together so quickly? i've opened the box and am staring at the diagrams for like 10 mins looking at all the bleedin' arrows! good job!
@@exo-zaddy4886 I had the G29 before and I am going to buy the T300 in a couple of weeks, since the G29 ist so noisy and does not feel too realistic. For just 30 bucks more I am able to extend the warranty of the T300 to 5 years, maybe that would also be an option for you?
I prefer t300 rs gt because u can interchange the rim like an f1 or rally wheel as well as it has more force feedback and has the thrust master ecosystem compatibility I’ve had both and I recommend the g29 as a first wheel and upgrading ur cockpit or stand then get t300rs gt with th8a shifter and any optional rims
Have you already returned it? If not be sure the power cable is plugged in all the way, I have this kit and had a similar issue but I realized the cable wasn't fully plugged in, it almost has two stopping points when plugging it in, you have to make sure you push it hard enough to pass the first one. If you still have it could be worth a shot. Good luck!

Nearly everyone i know who has owned this wheel including my self didnt plug the power cable in fully... it feels like it is but it isnt completely seated. I wouldnt be surprised if that was the issue. Ive seen multiple people file rma's because of this, only to discover that the wheel was perfectly fine... there is even another review on youtube somewhere, in which the reviewer is convinced that the wheel is DOA but was only the power cord
You are spot on!! I had a freak out when I first got mine fired up and was thinking DOA. Luckily I didn't give up that easily and figured out that although it felt like it was in you really have to shove it and it'll go in a full half inch further. I was thinking that was probably what happened, but I wouldn't expect anyone to admit it. Thrustmaster products have always done me very well and hold up over time, shame they get dogged for poor QC because that has never been my experience. Also I got my T300RS GT set for less than $250 on a "Like New" deal from Amazon Warehouse. Now I conclude that the reason I got that deal was because some poor sucker didn't plug it in all of the way and thought it was DOA!! 🤣👌

Force Feedback is almost double of what the g29 offers. It's belt driven, so ffb is super smooth. It's not as loud as the Logitech. Shifters and buttons feel much better. You can swap steering wheels. Etc. So many reasons to buy this over a Logitech.
The T300 wheelbase destroys the G series wheels in all aspects multiple times over without a single qustion. They are in two different brackets. The Torque, Speed, Smoothness, More Detail, etc.) of the T300 is a huge step above all the G25/27 clones that are pushing 15+ years of the same exact tech inside the wheelbase with just firmware updates for compatibility with the newer consoles. The actual competitor to the G series wheels are the T150 and TMX thrustmaster wheels. Similar torque (if not a little more), faster wheel speed, etc.) Also, the T150/TMX is a hybrid belt/gear drive which makes it much smoother and quieter over the loud G series wheels that are all gear based. So they're so loud, chattery/clunky becuse of the gear lash while the T300 is all belt driven. The Logitech wheels are junk (except their pedals are actually decent and moddable) There is better wheels for the same price if not cheaper. To show how shitty logitech is as a company, Look at their "NEW" G923. Its still the same damn g25/g27 clone yet they're charging $400 for it and not even with a shifter. They are spouting out this (TRUEFORCE) Gimmick that is just a canned post process effects on top of the games regular FFB output yet they think justifies making it $150 more than a G29/920. It blows my mind wtf logitech is doing and how they treat their consumers, They have shitty business practices and it pisses me off. They drool for that potential ignorant first time wheel owner hoping to snare them and take their money. Ive owned or many had hours on almost all the $800 and below wheels on the market so its boring to see logitech make the same damn wheel for almost 20 years without even trying to bring something new to the market, make their build quality better, or anything you'd think a Gaming Peripheral company would do. I guess theyre too busy selling RGB mice and keyboards to give shit care about making a wheel from the ground up that can stand among "competitors". People are buying Wheels and getting into racing 10 fold these days. Look how fast Fanatec grew just over the last 5 years. Theyre spendy but they did something right for being where theyre at now.
rubbish, the logitech g29 provides solid feedback, the t300 provides elastic feedback because the belt has play in it, the gears dont, therefore with logitech g29 you can achieve amazing accuracy but i am not saying it is realistic it just provides enough feedback information to feel the camber etc but not much else
@@d3tach3d its not entirely about feel but information about the road, thats the most important feedback, logitech provides it for dirt rally and to a lesser extent dirt rally 2, the biggest problem with t300 is calibration, thats where it falls apart in regards to being compatible with games
@@jamesi2018 I play all my games and Sims on PC so when I had my T300 I never had issues with calibration on Dirt Rally, 2.0, AC, AC Comp., iRacing, rFactor2, Automobilista 2, Race Room, etc.) . I had little experience using it on a PS4 with GT Sport but that games FFB telemetry data isnt very detailed so any wheel base get almost the same detail but just have torque differences. I remember using a friends fanatec clubsport with GT Sport and it felt identical aside from his being more powerful nm wise. so I dont really have an opinion on console support if thats what youre mentioning. Ive been using an OSW Simucube 2 pro now for quite a while now but will have to pull out the T300 for Gran Turismo 7 when it comes out.
@@d3tach3d you need to spend a lot of time with forcefeedback settings on console ps4 anyway and it is mostly luck and a lot of perserverance that will finally solve the ffb to make sense, t300 feels shite on almost all games, g29 is slightly easier to tune to make it controllable and make some kind of sense from it
Appreciate this video, cuz I have this wheel and just had to pack it back into the box and I couldn't make heads or tails out of how to arrange the three bits. Only took me a minute after seeing your video. As for the wheel, I rate it pretty highly after having it for a year. Wheel feels very premium and solid, though the rubber easily marks (no big deal). Pedal's aren't bad either, solid plastic (heavy) base with rubber feet, and metal pedals. Brake is quite stiff. Force feedback is quite strong imo (though it's essentially my first wheel, so not got much comparison) and overall I've been very happy to have it. Just packing it up so I can move house, not getting rid of it lol.
Nice video , bad luck getting a non starter ! Have been looking at buying one of these or a tx for a few weeks now , your video has put me off completely . Am using a Logitech G29 currently , had it for two years and never had a problem . Admittedly it's not as smooth / powerful or detailed as a t300 but it works , thrustmaster still haven't sorted out there reliability/ quality problems that's dogged them for years !!
Why does one bad wheel put you off? Almost everyone except for die hard logitech fanboys would recommend the g29 over the t300. One bad model shouldn't put you off, just return it and get another one. Really not that hard.

the four notches inside the wheel and oposite on the base ensures you cannot mount the wheel wrong or even get the plug you show in even if you wanted to.. just fyi ;)

i thought the same when iordered one. but if you were the type to go for the racing games at arcades first you will be having tons of fun. i think the coolest part is that you can take the skills you learned on the sim wheel head into a real car and see its not far off at all from the real deal
Hi, everyone, I just bought a new Thrustmaster T300 Ferrari Integrale and I have the problem on the PS4/PS5 (in every game) that the steering wheel starts spinning right and left on a straight road when I let my hands of the wheel. I just can't imagine that's this is normal. I've tried some settings. Unfortunately without success.. I can't be the only one.. please some advice or help.. 😔
Exactly why I bought a G29 instead of a TM wheel. The reviews I read just made me nervous about the reliability. My G29 is a year old and boy has it taken some stick and still going strong.
I had G29 two times the first time it works for like two years then the pedals starts to break tried ti fix it but cant . then just two dyas ago I bought another g20 and it start to break down the pedals from the secound day of using it . I return it and take my money
i have it for 4 days and to day i noticed that wheel joint is slipping even though i tightened it with a screw, it wobbles but the wheel itself is not coming off. Tomorrow i will try to remove it and check what is the problem.
That’s true. But thrustmasters just need some little modifications or fixes then they’ll become very reliable. Logitech, entry entry level. Fanatec, not too many people would spend that much on a sim cockpit setup so Thrustmaster is kinda the best choice for general players

6:56 About the screw that tightens the wheel, I ordered a second hand T300RS GT wheel for budget reasons, and when it came it didn't come with that little screw on there as well as the power cable (although I have found the cable on Thrustmaster's website in the spare parts section). In this case, what screw (type and size) am I gonna need to help keep the wheel from moving?
Obviously reliability and QC are at an unacceptable level with TM, but itlf you get a good one the T300 is fantastic

Yep. If not for this issue alone, I'd have bought a T300 ages ago. But the reports of failures put me off. I use a G29 as a result, which is not as good when it comes to the actual feel and FFB, but it's given me zero issues over a year of intensive use.
Great video! Did you ever figure out what happened to it? I'm using a Logitech g27 and it's getting even more clunky, notchy than it was new. I just don't like that cog feel in the g27. Maybe the g29 is better, but nonetheless I've really been thinking tm t300rs gt but other than that power up problem, I read a lot of bad reviews about getting hot in long races like on iracing. And some people reported the smell of rubber burning like wires or the motor? Has tm resolved these issues?
You will have the same problem with the g29. Hardware gets hot, it's just how it is. But the t300 is much better compared to g29 and you can always change the wheel in the future unlike with the g29

doesn't hard mount the base , uses some dodgy stand that isn't firm at all , uses it on a ps4. so not nearly all that the wheel can give compared to using it on a pc, .. then he cant even get it to turn on ahahahha yeah killer review mate
Works great on my ps5! Load times super fast..graphics all to the max and yeah. I love my t300, T3pa, Th8a and soon to have tss handbrake...mhm love sim racing on my ps5!!! It is definitely the way!!

It’s hard to play anything else this game is so good. It actually got me into pc gaming. My ps5 is collecting dust because ATS is amazing! You won’t be disappointed with the wheel. 👍🏼
Question just bought a t300 pre owned for my ps4 but the wheel center logo is the PlayStation logo not the thrustmaster logo is that something to be concerned about ?

I have it and it's easy better than the Logitech. Full belt driven ffb is way smoother than the belt/gear combo driven g920/g29

Have been looking at buying one of these or a tx for a few weeks now , your video has put me off completely . Am using a Logitech G29 currently , had it for two years and never had a problem . Admittedly it's not as smooth / powerful or detailed as a t300 but it works , thrustmaster still haven't sorted out there reliability/ quality problems that's dogged them for years !!
Thanks for the comment, I was thinking of getting a replacement but couldn't be bothered afterwards. Maybe I'll reconsider if a newer one comes out.

Why does one bad wheel put you off? Almost everyone except for die hard logitech fanboys would recommend the g29 over the t300. One bad model shouldn't put you off, just return it and get another one. Really not that hard.

I returned mine as well. The wheel base kept giving "ghost" button pushes, pausing mid-game, usually in a corner.
Mine did that, I had to tighten the collar and fasten the screw there because I didn't do it initially and it came loose.
I am late mate, buut. There is a big as yellow worning, that it will work ona a European ( 220-240 V] voltage.

the four notches inside the wheel and oposite on the base ensures you cannot mount the wheel wrong or even get the plug you show in even if you wanted to.. just fyi ;)

i thought the same when iordered one. but if you were the type to go for the racing games at arcades first you will be having tons of fun.
i think the coolest part is that you can take the skills you learned on the sim wheel head into a real car and see its not far off at all from the real deal
You only really need 2-3 racing games to have fun. Like maybe ACC and GT Sport or Forza etc.

I just bought a new Thrustmaster T300 Ferrari Integrale and I have the problem on the PS4/PS5 (in every game) that the steering wheel starts spinning right and left on a straight road when I let my hands of the wheel. I just can't imagine that's this is normal. I've tried some settings. Unfortunately without success..
I can't be the only one.. please some advice or help.. 😔
Mabye there is no forcefeedback, so the mortor just turns the wheels as it is with no FFB

Exactly why I bought a G29 instead of a TM wheel. The reviews I read just made me nervous about the reliability. My G29 is a year old and boy has it taken some stick and still going strong.

i have it for 4 days and to day i noticed that wheel joint is slipping even though i tightened it with a screw, it wobbles but the wheel itself is not coming off. Tomorrow i will try to remove it and check what is the problem.

Thrustmaster products are really unreliable, because of this, I much prefer Logitech or Fanatec.
That’s true. But thrustmasters just need some little modifications or fixes then they’ll become very reliable.
Logitech, entry entry level. Fanatec, not too many people would spend that much on a sim cockpit setup so Thrustmaster is kinda the best choice for general players

6:56 About the screw that tightens the wheel, I ordered a second hand T300RS GT wheel for budget reasons, and when it came it didn't come with that little screw on there as well as the power cable (although I have found the cable on Thrustmaster's website in the spare parts section). In this case, what screw (type and size) am I gonna need to help keep the wheel from moving?

Obviously reliability and QC are at an unacceptable level with TM, but itlf you get a good one the T300 is fantastic
Yep. If not for this issue alone, I'd have bought a T300 ages ago. But the reports of failures put me off. I use a G29 as a result, which is not as good when it comes to the actual feel and FFB, but it's given me zero issues over a year of intensive use.

G29 is descent budget wheel. T300RS is mid range wheel. The fair play would be G29 vs T150
depends on where you're buying them. In my local markets both the G29 and T300 cost around 300€, while the T150 is around 185€

Great video! Did you ever figure out what happened to it? I'm using a Logitech g27 and it's getting even more clunky, notchy than it was new. I just don't like that cog feel in the g27. Maybe the g29 is better, but nonetheless I've really been thinking tm t300rs gt but other than that power up problem, I read a lot of bad reviews about getting hot in long races like on iracing. And some people reported the smell of rubber burning like wires or the motor? Has tm resolved these issues?
You will have the same problem with the g29. Hardware gets hot, it's just how it is. But the t300 is much better compared to g29 and you can always change the wheel in the future unlike with the g29

doesn't hard mount the base , uses some dodgy stand that isn't firm at all , uses it on a ps4. so not nearly all that the wheel can give compared to using it on a pc, .. then he cant even get it to turn on ahahahha yeah killer review mate

@@emmettzaczepinski6565 snowrunner is horrible on a wheel. I play gran turismo. Project cars 2. Pc3 also horrible..all the dirt rally’s and currently addicted to American Truck Simulator! It’s hard to play anything else this game is so good. It actually got me into pc gaming. My ps5 is collecting dust because ATS is amazing! You won’t be disappointed with the wheel. 👍🏼

TM has several wheels that are xbox compatible, TS-XW, TMX, TX and T248. The TX is going to be the one most closely related to the T300.

Question just bought a t300 pre owned for my ps4 but the wheel center logo is the PlayStation logo not the thrustmaster logo is that something to be concerned about ?
