I had a G27 for years, I loved that wheel, but I upgraded to the T300 RS GT with the TLCM pedals and the 7 speed shifter. I ended up giving that setup to my son this past spring after I upgraded yet again to a Fanatec setup. As much as I love my Fanatec, it was nearly $2,500. I can honestly say that the Thrustmaster is by far the best bang for your buck.
@@evacuationplan_B, I completely derped on that one, and I fixed it. I still get TLCM and T3PA confused. They're a little pricey, bit completely worth it. My son went from his old DFGT to that setup, and he plays far more Gran Turismo now.
For the g29/920/923 brake pedal all you have to do is caliberate the brake through the windows control panel under the hardware and printer option or something like that. Can set the brake to 100% pressure at any force pushes on to it will do. If you dont push the pedal all the way down for the calibration. Where you stop is where 100% will be. Sorry if this confused y'all more than helping.
I’ve been using a G29, good starter wheel until you start to get good. Then you realize the “slop” of the gear drive system. Is it wear? Was always there I just didn’t notice? Not sure but when you roll over an obstacle like a inside bumpy curve, it requires more attention to keep the driving line. 2nd, yes the brake pedal sucks. So now that I notice the sloppy wheel and pedals are slowing me down it’s time to upgrade. Having said all that the G29 is a good choice as an entry level wheel and it sells on the secondary market. I don’t want to spend $1000 on a wheel and pedal set. So I think the T300 is next, with upgraded pedals. My rig is an F-GT light, triple 32” screens and I do IRacing. All in all the wheel and brake pedal are my weak link. Thanks for the review. The G29 is a good starter to see if more expensive gear is worth it.
5:49 for a more high quality feeling of the T300 i can highly recommend spending the few extra bucks to get the T300 Alcantara edition. The rim on that one isn't just covered in Alcantara, but also slightly larger, making it feel even less like a toy. Switched from a T-150 and the difference is absolutely insane.
I was on the fence between the G29 vs the T300RS and you have solidified my thoughts to buy the T300. Just overall a better wheel. Can't wait. Thanks man! subbed.

Been in a bit of a pickle about which wheel to buy since the G variants are quite a bit cheaper here in Finland and readily available but i think i'm gonna spend the extra cash and get the T300!
the g29 is basically the same on the inside as the g25, g27 g920, g923... just wrapped in new plastic and marketed as an upgrade. the g25 came out in 2006, they were "high end" back then and for a very long time there was really no better option. today they are still the same wheels but now "low end", there really is not a cheaper wheel worth considering. imo direct drive wheels are starting to look interesting, id rather pay 400-500 for a dd wheelbase only, mount my own aftermarket wheel, modify a cheap set of pedals with a loadcell then pay 200-300 for a "budget wheel setup".
I’ve been using the G29 for over a year now and honestly I’m got bored of it. Like your saying it’s a good starting wheel for sure but you will find it a bit annoying with all the clipping noises it makes when good FFB is applied to it. I just both the T300 but I haven’t had the chance to use it for the first time. Since I’m building my new set up. Also getting the open wheel from Thrustmaster. can dumb comment change to smart?
Whichever one you pick it will leave FANATEC’s customer service for dead 👍
Yeah I’ve heard some pretty bad stories about their customer service 😅
What game was at 3:49?
CarXDrift I think
What’s a good thrustmaster for Xbox
Thrustnaster tx
Dope VID bro!
Thank you!!
I got last week T300 alcantara for 350$, did try before t300 wheel also logitech G29... driving on logitech feels like shit xd
i bought the g29 coz of the light bar
g29 bad for drifting but good for everything else
I just want a wheel that will do the job for Truck simulator games. 🤷
Which one you got
@@Heart7Throb7 G923. Does the job but not immersive and feels not right for truckin.
8:53 lmaoooo
G29 is trash. 10* of free dead zone. 5* in each direction before FFB kicks in which makes games nearly unplayable. G923 doesn't do this nor does any thurstmaster, moza, fanatech I've used
thanks
Let's appreciate the time and effort he puts into his videos, Keep up the good work!
thanks brother 🥲
nice vid
Good looks
Ay appreciate homie!
G29 is a kids toy, just get a Fanatec CSL DD
G29 is sooo stif turn turn in my ps5 car games
Why ..real car wheels are not that much stif …
Send 6K the setup
never sowwy
This should be g29 Vs tmx. The t300 is way above
driving a loud car with screeching tires and loud engine yet complaining about clicking and gears of wheels😢
❤️
Thanks for sending me a free Logitech G29 for only subscribing!
LOL 🤣
all that just to lose a race to an xbox controller
proof or never happened
After playing wrc10 with a controller for at least 7 months, it's so hard to adjust lol
G29 --> T300 RS GT. Easy.
First
🏆
I’ll tell you the short… if you have the budget… buy the t300rs and some random usb shifter..
Lmfao theres no comparison, t300 eats g29 and even g923
900 degrees of movement had me 😅😅😅😅
