    Confession;
I get tired of eating the same thing everyday, meat and fat.

I love being carnivore but so far it hasn’t helped me focus better, sleep better, or reduce inflammation. My thyroid is still a real problem and I’m still dealing with all my hashimotos symptoms with not much relief. BUT, that doesn’t mean it’s not working and I don’t want to give up.
I’ve lost a ton of weight, which is great, but I have a lot of damage to my body that’s going to take time and experimentation to deal with it. For people like me who aren’t seeing enough improvements in certain health area, it sometimes takes trying different variations of the diet, being more strict with which meats, and playing with protein and fat ratios. Sometimes it just takes more time than others might take.
I hope a year down the road I can say I have more improvements, but it hasn’t been a “magical cure” for me. We should be careful not to turn carnivore into a magical thing that works instantly. There’s so many different ways to be a carnivore that may or may not work, and some of us have a lot more damage to our bodies to work through before it starts getting better.

Some unexpected benefits for sure! 8+months into it.
The obvious: Bloating and gas gone and with that the belly. It is incredible how just belly just goes away! Joint pain, gone -even the one around the hip. Gums used to bleed maybe once a month while flossing, not anymore. Lost some weight. Ringing of the ear much improved.
    The not so there yet:
I am not totally all full of energy all the time yet, however, I have completed so many projects during the last months. Sometimes, my brain fog comes back. And might be more related to wireless devices (I am sensitive).
The most unexpected benefits that I noticed:
    1) the regrowth of hair to my natural color (vs white hair - my full head) and with it that white hairs are turning brown. Go figure! Never, in a million years would I thought this was possible! 😊
    2) I no longer need sunglasses! Before, I could not go out without sunglasses. My eyes will hurt. Now, I can walk and drive. No sunglasses needed. I have no idea why or how. I am so happy! I do love sunglasses, but the fact that I do not need them! Fun, fun, fun. 😎

I discovered this by accident a couple of years ago. In short, my situration started with neurological symptoms. I went to the GP and was diagnosed with Lyme. Went on antibiotics, etc. The symptoms took months to dissipate. I noticed that caffeine made it worse and read this can happen with Lyme, so decided to stop drinking it. Then I learned that the little buggers love sugar and that cutting out grains and dairy really helped others with the same diagnosis. So I decided to cut out everything but meat and eat a few veggies and even less fruits and on occasion, nuts. I drank water only. To my surprise I experienced every.single.one of the benefits this guy listed in the video (minus depression/anxiety; I thankfully haven't struggled with that in my life). I was literally BLOWN AWAY by the healing! Esp the fact that my daily energy levels were consistent without caffeine of any sort. And I love, Love, LOVE the mental clarity and focus. And an added bonus - My 'allergies' with post-nasal drip and irritated throat disappeared! I now know that it wasn't allergies at all, but excess mucus production from the milk and LPR/Silent Reflux from grains causing inflammation from my gut all the way up to my sinuses causing them to drip daily. I had been clearing my throat for years thinking it was allergies/PND, and on carnivore it disappeared. Experiencing completely clear sinuses and nasal passages with no more throat issues after so many years was incredible - Goodbye allergy meds! I almost want to say I'm glad I got Lyme . . . but I won't.
This video is a keeper. Bookmark it and come back to it when you go carnivore to see how many benefits you experience (and more) for yourself.

I'm just 90 days in. But when I started and I felt like "I want something!" (other than meat), I would have more meat and fat. Then the craving would go away. I figure if I'm craving something, I need more nutrition. So, I have more meat/fat. Even if I have to cook more.

I was starting to have so many mobility problems from my weight and probably type 2 diabetes that I was borderline disabled before. Almost back to 100% now and even started jogging again. Haven't been able to jog without extreme pain since I was in my 20's.

I am day five on carnivore. I feel horrible. Sick to my stomach, literally weak, headache, and worst is today I felt like gagging trying to eat my steak at dinner. On the up side, I lost 9 pounds, and despite feeling horrible physically, emotionally I feel very content, calm and happy. I don’t really get hungry. I used to be very hungry in the morning, so far I don’t feel like eating till almost noon, and it’s more like I know I should eat rather that the old feeling of ‘I’m starving, let’s eat!” I test my urine every morning and I am now in moderate ketosis. My urine color is very light yellow to clear, which leaves me to believe I am not dehydrated. I drink plenty of water and add keto chow electrolytes. I read today that the horrible way I feel physically goes on for 2 to 4 weeks… not sure I can bear it for that long. Anyway, does the way I feel sound normal? Also, will it really go on for that long? Any other tips appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

It does go. It’s similar to Keto Flu. I’ve gone back on carnivore to shed a bit of fat before my holiday in 3 months and first week I felt sicky, very low in energy and unmotivated for anything really. It does pass. Keep drinking plenty of water and black coffee also helped me. Mine only lasted around a week then I felt great. Keep it up, it’s better than putting crap into your body leading to an early grave

5 days? Yeah, that's not unusual - especially if you are brand new to low carb. I doubt this will last more than 2 weeks. However, make sure to stick with it for at least 3 months to assess the results.

Not sure about the "sick to your stomach thing".... But, if you weren't keto before going carnivore, the tiredness could definitely be your body switching over to ketosis. When I first went keto, I was completely exhausted. MCT oil REALLY helped get me over the hump with getting into ketosis; it gave me energy. I probably used it for about a month. I think, listen to your body as far as when to eat; I think switching over to using fat as fuel instead of carbohydrates just takes a while to get used to. A keto-mojo finger prick is also a much better indication of ketone levels than a urine dipstick.

I just did my first week and while it's very difficult to get used to only eating meat, my sleep apnea is completely gone and I sleep much better. My joints also stopped hurting (I'm 39, so getting old). And I'm not as hungry as I used to be. The only thing is that I'm still craving every single carb on the planet and sugar is like crack to me. It helps that my wife, who has had a plethora of health issues and has been vegetarian for 8 years decided to slowly start eating meat and then go on the carnivore diet with me. All of her issues seem to have disappeared as well. We both used to be super gassy and bloated and that's just disappeared.

    Question for anyone/everyone.
Has anyone here experienced any gallbladder issue AFTER being on carnivore diet?
Im about 5-6 months in doing full carnivore, and only beef and some bacon here and there. Was feeling perfectly fine, and my autoimmune issues were improving drastically. Then last week I started having intense bouts of nausea out of nowhere 2-3x a day, and some discomfort in upper right abdomen (gallbladder locale).
So if you have had this happen, how did you figure out what caused it, and how did you fix it? Thanks, looking forward to responses.

There are so many things that carnivore helps with, if not outright cures, BUT, many negative things have been developed over a previous lifetime that not everything can be fixed fast.
