Not a criticism just One bit of advice I would give would be to remove the grill plate unless you have food on it absorbing heat out of it. Especially with the heat of a flaming fire versus hot coals. Example would be when you were letting the flames die down before placing your steak. You probably could have put your steak on which would have been quite hot for the steak but you could have turned it frequently to prevent burning. Having the steak on the grill would have absorbed heat out of the grill to prevent overheating the stainless steel of the extended grill plate. You did an excellent job on every level! Especially considering your limited experience with your Firebox gear 👍😎
All good😊 I get what you are saying, and you are right. I will take that onboard for future use. When it comes to cooking, especially steak, I am a novice.
I really appreciate your posting this video. Received the same stainless steel Firebox Deluxe Combo Kit just yesterday as a birthday gift. So I am grateful for all the tips you included in your demonstration. I cooked my lunch using the stove / Trangia setup with fantastic results. Looking very forward to cooking over a wood fire next. Best to you from central Indiana, USA.
@@bushgearreview , I have burned wood....all downfall from storms here in Chicago, or some gas station/Home Depot firewood bundles...and enjoyed it. Cooked some steaks at a public park while hammocking, here.
@bushgearreview the 5" G2, Nano & Freestyle. Just purchased the 5 way dutch oven on the Kickstarter, as well - pretty stoked to get it - so many savoury & sweet possibilities!
Fantastic overview of the capabilities of this mighty little stove! Great looking footage and editing. Even the B roll footage with the white background. Very, very, well done! I'm a new subscriber. Been looking at one of these for a little while and this is my favorite video I've found so far.
I had the g2 looong ago it feels like. The greatest camping stove in my mind... Lost it a couple years back, I think I loaned it to a "friend" while drunk... Ehhh well. Just gave up hoping it would show back up and ordered another one. If it does 2 would be better than one anyway. Great video. Cool edits
Been looking at these for ages. Just recently started cooking my meat over an open fire and the taste is incredible. Going to have to commit i reckon 😁
@@bushgearreview niiice! i was asking because, i was wondering what the rules are about using this firebox in QLD. From what I've researched, the rules seem to be really hard to pin down! Some rules only apply in national parks and state forests, some rules only apply during fire bans. I would love to use it on some rocks by a creek or river, like you do in the video!!! Are you familiar with the rules about using these kinds of stoves in QLD?
@oneeshie, like you say, the rules are very hard to interpret, but I always bring my own wood. I do use the trangia or goshawk alcohol burners a lot inside the firebox or ganesha stove.
@@bushgearreview so you think if i brought the firebox out to a campsite, or a creek, i wouldn't run into any trouble? i'd love to use it outdoors more often, but ive been trying to figure out the rules haha 🤔
Very nicely done Firebox Stove presentation. Thank you very much!
Thank you very much 😊.
Great product 👍.
I own all of the Firebox stoves that have ever been offered. They are well made and they absolutely work.

New subscriber here. I have several Firebox stoves, and really love them. Thanks for the awesome tips re placement/removal of the grills. 😊
Thankyou😊.
That's good to hear. Which Firebox stoves do you have?

Awesome, good to hear😊.
I am keen to try the Dutch oven.
Agreed. Seeing the placement of the grills with the sticks was really helpful.

It is a great quality product.
One day, I will get the titanium version.
Very nice review. It was very clever of you to use paint scrappers as spatulas to turn your eggs. I must use that idea. Thanks.
Thankyou.😊
Also, paint scrapers are great for flipping smashburgers on flat grill BBQs..
I just got this bundle and I love it already.
That's good to hear 😊
Well made and designed to last.
I have one. It's a lifesaver.
That's good to hear😊. I love the quality of construction.

Great video about a fantastic stove system. I bought one a little over a year ago. I love it!........Take care, Bluefin.
Thankyou😊👍
Agreed, great product
Nice review. Thanks for showing how to work all of the grills. I'll be getting my Firebox in a few weeks.
Good luck, I hope you have fun playing 😊
just bought one. great video. thanks
Have fun & enjoy 😊
The new cast iron 5 way cooker launching this month looks awesome
Indeed, it does. It could open up a few possibilities with baking.😊
Great video! I’ll definitely need to pick up one!

My G1 Firebox is around 10 years old and still going strong 💪
That's good to hear. I would love to have a titanium Firebox to keep in the vehicle at all times.
Try splitting wood into quarters and place them inside out into the corners of the stove for a Swedish Torch style of fire 😊
I will give it a go next time I take it out.😊
Great video and info man!! Thanks!!
Thankyou😊
Looks awesome! Where exactly did you film this?

The firebox is very efficient and safer as far as bushfire potential.

I wouldn't want to say either way. It's a matter of case by case, and use your gut feeling.
Great review
Thankyou 😊
Never seen a porterhouse with no bone.
They call that a 'T Bone' here lol.
Il manquait la moutarde de Dijon avec la viande .🇫🇷. Intéressant ce réchaud.
