15:00 - 𝗤:01 - Cart solenoid is not kicking issue - Got an intermittent skip in the drive when applying for power can be eliminated when you nurse the power demand very gently. When at a standstill if you demand power abruptly it skips out and cart won’t move. When running skips intermittently if you demand abruptly. What do you think is the problem - controller? Is anything else worth a check?
16:15 - 𝗤:02 - Cart jumping during acceleration issue - Hi Tim, I have a 2004 48 volt DS club cart. I think the motor controller is bad. I have put a new OBC and a new Solenoid, new battery. The motor will run on 24 volt. When it all hooked up, the solenoid gets hot. The controller is a curtis pmc model 1510-5201. It looks like it got hot. Has the controller gone bad? Thank Your Help.
    18:04 - 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
19:09 - 𝗤:03 - Cart go twice as fast in reverse as forward issues - I have a 2021 club car frame with an alpha body kit. Recently my batteries died to the point that nothing would power up. After some so research I figured out how to get them charged back up. Now the golf cart will not go over 3-5 mph in forward or reverse. Any ideas on what I can do to fix it?
20:27 - 𝗤:04 - Cart is finicky going forward or reverse issues - My 2010 Club Car Precedent Electric moves very slow and kills the full charge batteries in about 10 minutes. What could possibly cause that?
    21:53 - 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
24:42 - 𝗤:05 - The cart rear end makes a knocking noise issue - I lose power sometimes when I’m pushing the accelerator down. Possible cause?
    26:45 - 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
27:16 - 𝗤:06 - Cart struggle going uphill - I have 2008 36v EZGO TXT PDS. The motor shop says series motor but only runs on test parallel, jumpered only s1 to a1 s2 to a2 12v battery. Only Curtis 1206mx controller fries f1 f2 drivers.
28:44 - 𝗤:07 - Cart batteries issue - Yamaha 2014 gas, the motor keeps running after turning off. Have to disconnect the battery cable to stop it. Someone told me it could be the start-stop relay. Any ideas? Thanks.
31:10 - 𝗤:08 - Cart charger issue - I have an EZ GO older model 36-volt cart. I believe it is a 2004 TXT. The batteries read 37.6 when I test them in series. They all test over 6 volts individually. When I take the cart out it doesn't seem to be running at full power and after a short period of time, the cart loses power and can't climb small inclines. Can you tell me what might be the cause?
32:38 - 𝗤:09 - Cart stretched cable issue - Do I need to change the solenoid when changing EZGO from 36 to 48 volts?
33:40 - 𝗤:10 - Cart hesitating to move issue - I’m working on a Marathon 2pg eng, timing is off, just wondering if there is a difference between 2pg & 3pg crankshaft? The Pulsar coil registers correctly at 137.8 ohms.

OK, I just remembered! You were going to look in to putting disk brakes on an RXV and how that would work with the motor brake. I would love to delete that motor brake. Good episode thanks for the wisdom and the coupons.

One thing to remember when replacing a controller is to make sure you get your electric motor serviced/replaced, if it has issues like severe wear/carbon build up etc it will have a load effect on the controller and can damaged a new one! Always get your motor checked as well when replacing a controller, not many people will tell you this!

Hi Tim, from Mesa Arizona. I have a 2014 Club car precedent . At take off the cart runs great then slows to @8 mph. I changed out the speed sensor and it still does the same. Batteries are less then 2 years and hold a great charge. What else can it be. I did push the cart by hand and the alarm went off and it was a little hard to push. Thanks Al from Mesa Arizona

I have an easy go 1992 I replaced the batteries because they were old with marine start batteries! 3 of them 36 v system! 12v Batts. After this I took it for a spin everything was fine until I noticed my 250 ohm resistor on my solenoid smoking. Then now everytime I hit the go pedal it opens right up! ( too much power) Does the burnt resistor have anything to do with this problem?? Thanks for your time!!

Hi, i have a 2018 gas club car prescedent. Sometimes it starts immediately when i press the pedal and other times there is a 3-5 second or more delay before starting. It has a new battery, what would i check next. thanks Gary from Buckeye Arizona.

Thanks for watching, Gary! We recommend removing the seat and watching the starter as you push the pedal to verify that there is actually a delay or just a tight compression stroke. You can get an appt for a video diagnosis with our team here: www.golfcartgarage.com/gearheads-on-demand/
or send a short video of the issue to Support@GolfCartGarage.com so our techs can have a look.

Hello. This is a really great show. I am very new to carts. I have a 2009 ezgo rxt 48v. I learned the hard way that the batteries require general maint regularly. My girls were driving it and it just died and the brake locked up. Inspected the batteries and they appeared shot. The brake is stuck on and won’t come off. Tried to switch the controller wires 3 to 1 and it did not work. Ended up getting it home on a dolly. I switched the batteries and the charging port wired it all back. Checked the wiring and cleaned it. Now it won’t come on although the lights come on. I don’t hear the solenoid click on when I turn it to run reverse etc . I am thinking maybe the solenoid is bad. Not sure what do next as the brake is locked and it’s pretty much non responsive. Help pls

Thanks for watching, Paul. We have to recommend starting with the solenoid. That is the most frequently replaced item on the RXV model. Let us know if you need more help! Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2394

I have a 2009 G29. Tested solenoid and it work however only 8 volts going to plug to energize the solinoid do I have a bad controller since the wire connected to the small post of solinoid connects to controller need help

    • @GolfCartGarage
      @GolfCartGarage  5 месяцев назад

Thanks for watching! There should be full battery pack voltage at the two small post on the solenoid at activation. If cart has a run/tow switch then yes, the controller is in the solenoid activation circuit and that could be the problem. If you have further questions, get in touch at Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934
