02:53 - 𝗤:01 - How to increase cart issue - I have 07 EZGO TXT 36v, series. It is lifted 3", and large wheels go 20-21mph with a base original motor and controller. New 36v lithium batteries and larger cables. I do not want to spend 2000 for a new motor, a new controller but would like to get a little more speed. I've been told that a new controller will give some speed to the existing motor but what I read says it will add torque only (this is one question). If I can find a good buy-on motor and controller that I can use without converting to 48 volts, I might do that. The dealership told me today that the Alltrax controller DCX500 might give a little more speed with the existing motor. What do you think?

09:56 - 𝗤:02 - Cart clutch issue - My cart is rumbling when backing up. Could it be my carburetor or clutch? I'm getting different things from so-called golf cart mechanics/ The carb is cheap enough, so I ordered one if that's not it then I guess it’s the clutch. It needs tires very badly. Could this be a problem? I didn't want to invest in tires until I got this fixed.

15:48 - 𝗤:03 - Cart OEM controller issues - I have a 2004 EZ-GO TXT PDS 36v. It is lifted with oversized tires but otherwise stock. It has since started to drive but then goes into limp mode then won't move at all. A multimeter shows 36~38 volts just about everywhere I could test. I’m thinking it might be the controller. It has a Curtis OEM controller.
18:40 - 𝗤:04 - Cart won't move issues - 36v 1992 cub cart. New batteries, new F/R switch, new solenoid but the cart still won’t move. Clicks when the pedal moves but the cart won’t move. The battery person thought it might be the speed controller. What do you think?
    21:53 - 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
24:42 - 𝗤:05 - Cart rear end makes knocking noise issue - Club car ds 1986 electric. Upgraded to ac motor with iq harness. The rear end makes a sort of knocking noise when I accelerate hard but when I take it easy it doesn't make the noise.
    26:45 - 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
27:16 - 𝗤:06 - Cart struggle going uphill - I've got an EZGO RXV 48v. I live in an area with hills and often carry 4 passengers. My cart slows down quite a bit when going up hills. I'm wondering how I can upgrade my cart to handle hills better - would an upgraded controller and/or battery upgrade to lithium be the trick? Thank you.
28:44 - 𝗤:07 - Cart batteries issue - I have had numerous problems with the 6-volt batteries. Mainly- one or two of them go bad and then it ruins the other 4. Happened twice- I don’t want to do it again. I want to put in 3 12v deep cycles as it is a 36 V system. Is there any problem with that? Several sites on the internet say it works great. Your opinion, please.
31:10 - 𝗤:08 - Cart charger issue - My eric charger which came with a 2001 club car golf car, seems to start to charge but starts flashing yellow after a few seconds. My new batteries do show 8.36 volts each. Does this occur because they are fully charged and don't need a charge?
32:38 - 𝗤:09 - Cart stretched cable issue - I have a 1996 EZGO Medalist. The cart runs wide open when I slightly push the accelerator. I took the carb off and cleaned it. Made no difference. I just pulled the bed off to get to the governor. Looks like the cable is stretched but don’t know if that matters. Maybe the carb is running too rich? Any ideas?
33:40 - 𝗤:10 - Cart hesitating to move issue - Colombia cart hesitating to move. My cart had been stored for a few years. It ran fine, everything worked. I even drove it a mile up the road to where it was. But now I turn it on, and it clicks. Horn honks, lights light up and the reverse beep starts beeping. As soon as I press the pedal, it hesitates like it jolts in motion and it stalls. Followed by the light on the dash starts flashing. What does that mean? Could you please tell me what you think could be wrong?

I heard you talking about troubleshooting your garage wireless network. My advice is to not use Wi-Fi extenders. Get yourself a new mesh network setup. You’ll get better performance and will not have the hassle of changing between different SSIDs created by extenders.

Great information especially for a new golf cart owner. I bought a well used 36v 1988 EZGO Marathon that has a 6" lift kit. It has 'new batteries' but they're 3 - 12v deep cycle batteries. It has the original vglide with a resistor bank as a controller. It's going to be used to transport the grandkids around the property (roughly 75 acres of timber with trails with some elevation change). Is my best bet to just gut it and replace everything? It has limited range now but okay torque and speed. Thanks!

Hello. The only way to make that a useable cart for trails and farm work would be to fully convert it to a solid state controller system. It is a major project but it can be done with research, money and time.

I have a 2019 yamaha quietech drive 2 gas and I have hesitation when depressing gas pedal in fwd and Rev. This happens on occasion and just started about 2 weeks ago. What should I look at.? I've heard neg cable from battery to starter, pedal stop switch and possibly gummed up carb or muffler issue. I would greatly appreciate your suggestions, or troubleshooting process.. thank you!

Thanks for watching! We would concentrate on pedal stop switch first then all neg or ground cables. You may want a virtual appt with our techs here: www.golfcartgarage.com/gearheads-on-demand/

I have a 2006 club car precedent 48v that works and doesn't work hit or miss. Changed f/r switch and syloniod along with new battery cables. It charges with factory charger just fine all the time. When the syloniod doesn't click the reverse buzzard won't sound either. I tested leeds at controller reverse and forward pins have 51 volts when working and when I don't hear the reverse buzzard, which is the sign the syloniod won't be clicking. What can be the issue?? Thanks

I have a 1993 club car started to run intermiittly in forward and reverse then stopped altogether. The solenoid was still clicking . I decided to replace the forward /reverse switch, no change. the glide was replaced a year before it stareted this but I pulled it and made sure it was clean and had current. so I replaced solinoidand it runs great but only in forward. is it possible i screwed up wires on the F/R or the soliniod, marked them but could of screwed it up. it's 36v

    • @GolfCartGarage
      @GolfCartGarage  Год назад

Thanks for watching! For a fleet cart that's been governed, you may want to contact a Yamaha Dealer to see if they can change the settings, that should get you up near that speed. Otherwise, you may look at a new motor/controller package and upgrade cables, etc. If you need more help or have questions, get in touch! Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934

What motor and controller will you recommend for my 2001 club car ds series? I have 25s tires and is loaded so looking for speed and torque but quality something that will last.

    • @GolfCartGarage

This is a series wound torque motor. www.nivelparts.com/motor-amd-series-48v-11-hp-cc-high-torque-gn1-4001/p/7114 This motor combined with the biggest Alltrax or Navatis controller you can budget for would be fine for this application. Also replace the solenoid with an HD one like the controller manufacturer recommends.
