Thank you so much for the reply. Just got the magnetic hoop. I'm 74, hope I didn't take on more than I can handle!!! Keep making your great videos!!! Thanks again!!!!
Hi. Just wanted to say I love your videos. You approach everything in a very quiet, uncomplicated and easy way. My bernina 720 does not have pinpoint and your video on this was the only one that helped me. Likewise, I am just about to start using my monster hoop and this tutorial has taken away my fear of dealing with the edges. Bless you.
thank you for this video. I really want to start using my hoop. I had a class yesterday where we used the old hoops, I was so frustrated so I canńot wait to get started.
Hi. Did you have to do anything with the RM4 Monster Hoop so that your Bernina 770QE recognized it?I am thinking about buying it from DIME. Liked your opinion about the larger hoop (grabbing on to more quilt because of the extra size?) I really like the 770QE. Had the 880 before. When the automatic threader did not work anymore I had the chance to buy the 770 which I do not regret. Bought the upgrade when it became available. I also would like the new 8 inch square hoop but I am hoping that they will come out with a taller one that could be used with the 770 machine. Thanks, I enjoy watching your videos.
Hi Brigitte… thank you for your kind words…. I did not have to do anything when I attached my monster hoop… it comes up on the screen as the jumbo hoop…❤️
What size monster hoop did you use? Just saw size. It looks like the "8x12" equivalent size. My problem with my monster is that I hit the window ledge first time I used it! Love using the monster hoop for quilting. Have 2 different sizes.
You mentioned in a video you can't use a couple inches or so in left side of your hoop. Did you still put your measuring tape on the hoop starting in center or did you adjust for the size of hoop you can use. Thank you. Love your videos !!!
I put the rulers on the hoop with them centered…as though I could use the whole hoop…if someday I get an 8 series machine, it will fit and I can use the whole hoop..,
I have a question about the size hoop you use; what size is it? You are using the equivalent of a Jumbo hoop. What is the DIME equivalent (the names the names are confusing to me). Also, do you have multiple DIME hoops? What sizes do you recommend? Thank you!
Sharon are you sure you have the snap hoop together correctly…. It should not slip… when doing a very large q uilt, you have to keep the weight of the quilt supported so it doesn’t pull but otherwise your hoop should not slip…
Want to know how to get the centre of the hoop to put on the sticky rulers if the Bernina doesn’t stitch in the 2 inches on the left. I’m confused. Would appreciate your input.
I went to the website in the paperwork that came with my snap hoop and put the rulers on per normal…. I use the template method and my screen on my 770 to position in the hoop and only use the rulers on my snap hoop to keep my quilt square in the hoop….
@@FiddlestixAndStitches my sewing machine wouldn’t read the entire crosshair but I managed to measure the hoop to get the centre just to put the rulers on. Hope their straight. I don’t have embrilliance or any other software so I measured as accurately as possible. It’s the best I could. I will use the rulers to keep the fabric etc straight. I had no other way to find the centre. It is what it is. Thanks for getting back to me. I did manage to stitch out 2 templates. I have no way of knowing the centre of my design when it’s in the hoop.
Thank you! Terrific instruction. And you're just lovely.

Bless you too!❤️
I got my Monster Snap Hoop in the mail a couple of days ago and haven't tried it yet, so I'm glad you made this video!!
Thank you - I've learned quite a bit from this video.

Great job explaining how to use this hoop! Thank you
What a wonderful tutorial! How do you line up your design if you don’t have Embrilliance?
Great tutorial, thank you very much !

Awesome! Thank you!

Mine is the RM4

You said you use Embrillance soft wear. Why not Bernina?
Embrilliance is sold in modules and you can pick and choose and it is $139.00….. Bernina software is over a thousand dollars…. I couldn’t afford it…❤️

I just have one dime hoop.. it is the equivalent to the jumbo hoop..
I missed what the squiggly line was for as it went to an add? Thankyou
The squiggly line icon allows you to move the stitch position..❤️
My new snap hoop slips really bad when I am E2E quilting. Then the design gets out of line. How do you keep this from happening?
Sharon are you sure you have the snap hoop together correctly…. It should not slip… when doing a very large q uilt, you have to keep the weight of the quilt supported so it doesn’t pull but otherwise your hoop should not slip…
Is that siggly icon only on your machine? I have 700 and don’t know what you are talking about!
Yes hon… I have the 770 and the squiggly icon is on the right hand side of my screen…❤️
It’s the “Embroidery Sequence Control” Icon 😊
I have a Bernina 770QE and don’t know what size snap monster hoop?
Are you in Canada or US? I am from Canada and wanted to order a snap monster hoop and want to know what size hoop you are working with?
Mine is the Bernina jumbo hoop size… even though I can’t use it all I find it much easier to hoop using a bigger hoop… you would order from DIME…❤️

Use your template… put that over your hooped project, and center your needle over the center of your template…that’s how you can find center…
Is your machine a 770QE? Did you order your snap monster from Dime or Amazon?
Why would it make a difference?
