My motto is why do it by hand when I paid so much for the machine.😉 there are those times when it’s unfortunately necessary…great video, clear instructions, love the humor. I’m ready to try combi mode! I’ve gotten into it by accident and couldn’t get out. So frustrating. Now I think I get it! Thanks.
Thank you so much. Your explanations were precise and easy to follow. I especially love the ability to be able to slow you down a little bit so that I could follow step-by-step. I finally feel confident enough to tackle labels.
I wanted to say how much I very much appreciate you and your videos. I watch a lot of them. I love your enthusiasm! You have taught me a lot about my Bernina. I am super new to sewing and went all in on the Bernina. I am just learning to sew and bought a 590 and have been thrilled with it, but don’t know how to use it. You have great video as and if I ever get out to Naperville, Illinois am coming to visit! I live in Brooklyn, NY. Thanks again for doing these great videos.
OMG!! This is one of the best tutorials on using the machine I’ve seen. I’ve had my 765 for a few years but was never told how this was done. Yes, I could have gone to the manual but who has the time. I’m so glad I found your channel. Thank you so much.
I love watching all of these videos! I return to them often as I’m still learning ! But the hand sewing! I’m only getting better at that because of epp! Thanks!!
Really enjoy your video. Great explanation of how to use the combo mode. I have struggled with this and now that you have shown how to do it I feel more confident. Thank you.
Oh this is so neat! I needed a new machine when my Janome literally died on me while quilting so I did find a really nice one on eBay, used, but new for me. I'm still learning about it. At the moment I can't think of the one I have but these videos will help learning more of what my machine can do. Thank you.
I just found your channel. This was my first video to watch. I thought your hand sewing was perfect. I hate hand sewing too. I'm a Husqvarna Viking baby and it's fun to see how other machines program. 30 years + sewer/tailor. Not a big quilter but I love heirloom clothing and there are so many hand look stitches that can be reproduced by the machine. When I have to hand sew running my thread through a bounce dryer sheet really cuts down on the tangling. But seeing you sew with silk thread I think I'll have to try it.
Hi Gayle, this is Linda. I appreciate all your videos. This was a good one. I'm learning Berninas at work and was too intimidated by them, until they offered me to take a B570 qe home to practice on it. OMG!!! I'm so in love with this machine. Your videos are great and so helpful. Thank you for your quirkiness, love it.
I can’t thank you enough for this tutorial! I have tried SO many times to use the combination mode on my 770 to do the lettering! I just installed my plus upgrade last week an am experimenting with the cool triple stitch. So much fun! Would you consider making more instructional videos on the 770 QE’s upgrade? Like the embroidery?
Hi Kathleen, thanks for watching. We will be doing all kinds of tutorials, but now with the upgrade, the B 790 instructional embroideries and 880 plus are relevant to your machine. Just look out for videos concerning pinpoint placement, break apart and resequence.
Thank you. Sorted all the steps out for me after I experimented last week and became vague with the manual open in front of me. Keep looking beautiful, Beautiful
As usual, lov;e your tutorial, even your hand sewing. I don't know of many people that do like it when we have these machines that do almost everything for us. BTW, you're just too cute.
I found that when making labels on my 750QE machine that it often changed the font sizes from one line to the next, which really spoiled the look of my labels. I struggled with this a long time, but realised that rows of writing with ‘descenders’ - like ‘This quilt was’ etc then the font size was small, but without ‘descenders’ - like ‘November 2021’ then the font was huge. Now I add a space at the end of the words I’m writing and add a ‘g’. Since I started doing this my labels are much better - no change of font size 👍👍 🇬🇧
That’s one way to do it, but it seems you are referring to the embroidery side of the lettering. This tutorial works in the sewing side. Also, instead of adding spaces in you lines on the embroidery side, consider writing your first line of text and then adjust that to the actual font size you like. Then, adjust each additional row to the same letter height using your resizing capabilities In the embroidery editing tools on the machine. This will keep the leading a d keening accurate.
