Thank you so much for this! I have an older Artista 200 and would like to know which method I should follow. I have tried with Mono thread on top and it did not work. Please help!
Using a thicker top thread will ruin the mock hand quilting effect. Only fine 100 or 60 weight thread is recommended. The color thread that you see in the stitch is the bobbin thread.
Thank you for your comment. The title of this video is “BERNINA mock hand quilting stitch”. Please visit www.bernette com for information on the b38 machines.
I used stitch # 1328 and do not use super heavy thread. 40 wt mettler will do just fine, or 28wt Aurifil. Make sure that you use 60wt seracor (mettler) or a 100wt silk (superior kimono) or even bottom line (Superior thread)
I've been struggling with my 880Plus and Quilting stitch 1328. Did you demo this with a sandwich of batting between? I wonder how it would look? I used the same threads and tried wonderfil in the top dialed up to 9 but it still isn't looking like a running stitch. It looks like a miniscule stab stitch without any definition.
Buenas tardes.
The same stitch. I don’t know the number but the picture of the stitch is exactly the same. You just need to select that stitch and tighten your upper tension to 7.
On a bernina 335 it’s 106, on a bernina 4 and 5 series it’s 1304 and on the 7 series it’s 1328. As for older BERNINAS you will have to check your manual. The stitch is represented as looking like a hand running stitch.
I admit that I don't understand why the particular bobbin and top threads were used. The different colors and weight. I dont get it. LOL Can someone respond? Thanks
The top thread has higher tension to pull the bottom thread up. The top thread is thin and somewhat matches the background to simulate a Mock hand stitch.
@@BERNINAofNaperville OK, so the top thread has higher tension. At the risk of being told to re-watch the video to find my answer: Does the weight of the top thread automatically create higher tension, or did you change the tension? Thank you so very very much for replying!!!
@@janetinca4702 you have to adjust the tension to a higher number as stated in the video or the mastering your bernina book provided by your local dealer. The tension adjustment depends so you should test to find the correct adjustment.
Using 1328 stitch on my 770 QE. Thread keeps breaking no matter what I use. I like the stitch to be long so I have it at 4.50 and tension 8. 9 or 10. Thread breaks. Any suggestions?
I should have watched this video BEFORE embellishing my modern log cabin block. I TOTALLY did NOT stitch out like I expected. I don’t have a Bernina, but my machine DOES have this stitch. Oh, well, chalk it up to a learning moment.
I know Im randomly asking but does someone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow lost my account password. I love any assistance you can give me!
@Aryan Bryson thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im trying it out atm. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
First of all are you using the BERNINA made walking foot? Are you using the seam guide bracket? You can’t just put the guides through the holes in the back. Use the metal piece with the screw that came in your walking foot box.
Thanks I’ve been looking for how this stitch was done I have a 325 and want to give it a go
They need to add this stitch to the midarm and longarm. That would be perfect.
Wonderful video, thank you! Does my 570qe have this type of stitch? It's beautiful!
Yes. This stitch is one of the mock hand quilting stitches found in your quilting menu of stitches.
Great video. Thank you! I’m going to give this a try😊
I love this stitch! Thanks for sharing. By the way you are amazing!
Thanks Faye!

You shout consider getting a bobbin case to “play”. Start by loosening it’s tension.
Great demo. What foot was used please?
Any dual feed or walking foot will work.
Very helpful thank you. Can you use a thicker top thread? If so how thick? A 12 or 8?

Pretty cool! You forgot the Bernette customers! Is there a setting for that series of machines? B38

Beautiful. I have the 770 QE, so what stitch would that be please? I’ve not used a heavier thread in the bobbin, but I’d love to try it. Thank you.

How do you do a stand alone lace design? I have a bernina 700E

I used the Bernina 880 plus, bottom line thread in the top, isacord 40 wt thread in the bottom with a quilt sandwich.
I also only adjusted the tension to 8. Are you sure that you have the length set at the default setting?

I have the Bernina 480, it it possible to do that stitch on it? I haven't had it for long, so I am not super familiar with it.

Thanks for info!!
On the 475, what did you say about adjusting tension?
It’s adjusted the same way as the 5 series.
Muchas gracias por su respuesta. Necesito el pie 50 o con el 1C se puede hacer?
puede usar el pie para caminar # 50 o el # 1D (para alimentación dual).
I just bought the b790 plus special edition machine and the b480 se.. which stitch # would I need to use to get this hand quilted look?
It’s stitch #1304 on the 480 and #1328 o. The 790
Wish I could get the stitch number and what the width or length of the stitch is

Brilliant. Thanks.
I am unable to replicate that stitch. I get very small bottom thread stitches on top. I played with the tension and the thread types. Any tips?
I just purchased the 880E, do I have this stitch?
I use the 880 in this video at the end. It’s stitch #1328
What stitch number is it on a 535?
What about the 7 series????
@@suzannedougan4923 I covered the this in the video. It is the SANE as the machines I used in the video.
