Those are promotional BERNINA Scissors that I have had for some time. But these Tula Pink Scissors are exactly the same thing but in a rainbow finish: www.berninaofnaperville.com/products/tula-pink-large-ring-micro-tip-scissors?_pos=2&_sid=a2ac7610e&_ss=r
I just bought the #88 binder attachment for my 790 plus. I’ve been doing practice binding on scraps and i am soooooo frustrated. No matter how hard i try, i cannot get the quilt to go into the fold and stay there. There are places where it is barely caught and the binding feels empty and there are places where it doesn’t catch at all. I CANNOT find any videos on troubleshooting. The videos posted all make it look like it’s easy peasy...... but it’s not. I just want to take it off the machine and stomp it!!! 😢😭😡🤬
@@bettyirvin3756 it must be cut on the bias. What size binder are you using? The #88 attachment comes in three sizes; 28mm, 32mm and 38mm. The size is stamped into the binder. Also are you using the 95 C foot?
Glad I found you - maybe I'll get that binder attachment back out that I bought several years ago . . .
I ordered a binder during last months sale. Thanks for the great video!
Have one ordered. So timely to see this tutorial!
Great video - you showed 4 corners not just talked about it. thank you
Awesome information! Thanks!
I'm wondering what scissors are you using in this video? I like the size and that you can easily seam rip with them.

Is the bias trim right side toward you or opposite you.
Right side of binding is fed to the right
Is it possible to use WOF binding strips with this foot vs bias binding?
@@tammyeaton4791 the best results are achieved with cutting on the bias. But for some applications WOF is ok. Not for curves.
For the ruby star Halloween project I pressed the link but it says page not found. How so I order the pattern kit for this banner project & fabric.?
Thanks for your interest. This video is over 2 years old and the item is no longer available.
Can you use decorative stitches with binder
yes!
Can I use the binder with knits?
Yes. Usually for kits you would use a smaller size binder. The non-prefixed ones come in 28mm, 32mm and 38mm. I am using the 38mm in this video.

Hi Betty, are you sure you are cutting the bias wide enough? Which size #88 did you buy? Are you cutting it on the bias?
@@BERNINAofNaperville i am cutting it 1 1/2” wide. I’m not cutting it on the bias, cutting it straight

@@BERNINAofNaperville and the BERNINA videos say it must be on the bias if sewing around curves but can be on the straight grain if sewing straight.
