Thank you so very much; this video was extremely helpful! I am about to start my first edge to edge project and did have questions about the hoop. I ended up purchasing the smaller hoop (RM1) and had to resize the small design a bit so it would fit in the hoop. For the size of my project, I think the smaller hoop was the best choice. But I would like to get the jumbo hoop as well because I will be able to use the larger designs and thus have (I believe) less hoopings.
Just watched your snap hoop video. Excellent video. I don't have a snap hoop yet, but will consider buying one after watching your video. I have a question about the Bernina Mega hoop. I have a new Bernina 590 machine. Hooped a towel in my Mega hoop, since the design is a wine bottle and it's almost 10" long. The design will be stitched mostly in the lower portion of the mega hoop, so that the bottom edge of my towel is under the hoop edge. Tried to check the four corners of the design space in the Mega hoop, but the machine is only checking the top left and top right corners, but not the bottom left and bottom right corners of the design space. I moved my hoop from position 2 to position 3 to see if it would check the bottom left and bottom right corners with no luck. Can't seem to find instruction in my manual, or online, for checking the four corners of a design space in the Mega hoop. If you can offer any help, I would appreciate it! Thank you! Judy
Hi Judy… I am so sorry I don’t know a thing about the 590 but if you join our Facebook group Bernina 7 and 8 owners there are lots of 590 owners there that can help…❤️
I have found your videos very helpful. I own a Bernina 830, and just recently purchased a jumbo snap hoop. My machine has never had a jumbo hoop on it. So when I went in to use it, the machine continually reverts back to the large hoop. I have the latest firmware update, and if I sequence the events correctly, the design loads, the machine calls for a jumbo hoop, and I put the dime jumbo on. When that is read, it immediately reverts back to a large hoop. I cannot calibrate it, because it doesn’t seem to read the hoop. Unless you might have any suggestions, I am sending it back, based on the conclusion that the attachment is not working correctly. With that in mind, the experience has been extremely frustrating, and I’m not sure I want to go through it again. Thank you for any suggestions you may have.
As I recall… I’ve heard the 830’s are a little temperamental…. And I’m not all that familiar with the 830 but I suggest you call your dealer and just ask a few questions….❤️
Hoping you see this :) i am wondering how long you have been using your snap hoop and how you like it? i have heard some people say it has harmd their module....but i really want one lol! tempted by bigger, but i know smaller would use less stabilizer for small projects.
I just bought the 200 x 400 hoop is that the size that’s the jumbo? Is there a bigger one for the Ernie’s 770. That’s what I have. Thank you for a wonderful video!
Can you post a picture of the part that attaches to the embroidery unit. The monster hoop I just purchased is not being recognized. I’m not sure if it has the right connector or if I was sold a bad unit from Amazon. I would appreciate any help you would provide. I have a Bernina b770 Plus (latest version with large screen) and the hoop says it is the RM4
Thank you for your videos! I have a Bernette b70 Deco. I would love a magnetic snap hoop because I want to embroidery my jean jackets, towels, etc. Which hoop should I get? Thank you ❤
I just received the maxi snap hoop for my Bernina B765. When I try to attach the hoop it goes on very hard and I could barely remove the hoop. Is this normal?
Hi Linda. I had the same problem in 2022 with a snap hoop I bought for my Bernina 570QE. I ended up sending it back to Amazon as I did not want to damage my machine or embroidery module. I have just re-purchased the snap hoop, hooping that my original purchase was just a dud. Did you end up getting any help with your hoop?

@@FiddlestixAndStitches I’ve seen the comments about these being temperamental but mine is not. Until I tried this hoop. Thanks for your reply.

I have been using my snap hoop for about four years or a bit longer… I love it and I do not have any regrets about getting it…❤️

Thank you for you video! When I use the V8 software to create a design, which hoop do you select when you save the design?
