Thanks for this guide. Instead of buying a new machine, I decided to try and repair it. Replaced the pump, and now it works again. But damn those oval head screws are a nightmare.
Made the tool, and it helped, but will go to hardware store and see if I can get some replacements that are easier to work with. BTW, recommend to disassemble machine first, so you can identify the exact pump type. The website where I bought the pump, suggested a different pump type for this machine. Not sure if it was compatible. Anyhow I found the exact same pump that was originally installed, and purchased that instead.

Great directions! I tried everything to get mine to work and finally tore it down to get the pump working again. It’s working now as good as new. Thanks!

Thank you Adrian for your videos, although I live in Australia you provided enough info for me to fix my machine, It's Delonghi Citiz coffe & milk unit after watching your video's.
I didn't realise they had oval head screws and couldn't find a bit locally, so I drilled about a 3.5mm hole in the end of a 6mm cap screw then gave it a hit with a hammer to make it oval. This worked well and enabled me to complete the swap.
Many thanks, I've enjoyed a nice coffee now after a 2 week wait for the new head.

This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact ruclips.net/user/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.

What does it mean if the machine lights up and blinks, but DOES NOT MAKE NOISE or dispense water? Is it the heat fuse? Or the pump? Thank you 🙏

Hello friend, my Nespresso gets hot, but when I start it, it does not make a sound (the pump does not turn on). What could be the reason?

How the coffee with rusty water tastes like ? I think once the spring is rusted the rust will come back again.

Nice. I have a new machine that isn't working, so while it surely doesn't have rust/scaling issues, it might still be the pump somehow. Tried all the usual ways to get the water flowing (using hot water in the reservoir, removing/replacing the reservoir repeatedly while the pump is running, putting pressure on the water) and no joy. No bubbles come up in the reservoir either. Was thinking of taking it apart, and just running the pump directly with a small primed hose, but I see it's a pretty big deal; I'm worried about breaking the plastic opening the clam shell sides. Also "oval" screws? Yuck. For rust issues, I've found soaking rusty parts in white vinegar for a few hours or overnight does wonders for getting rust off. I'm probably going to return the unit I have; I'm not taking apart a new machine. These things are obviously badly designed when it comes to the pump/priming system; sooo many people have trouble getting the water running. There should be an easy way to prime the pump.

I disassembled the pump, no rust, reconnected, still not flowing water. Is my pump bad? I tried to force water through the inlet pipe that goes through the water sensor and into the pump with a syringe, while pressing Lungo, it would not take the water in, and only a little was dripping out

All that was not necessary. If you take your water container and slowly set it on when the motor is trying to pump, air bubbles will come out, and it’ll pump water. It takes about 10-20 seconds.
