I believe when Tawaret saves them from the sand wave, she shouts, "Osiris you big softy..." which seems to imply that Osiris heard what Mark said to Steven and opened his gates so that the sand wouldn't consume them. The wave coming after them was probably the Duat itself, and Osiris is god of the decreased (specifically death and rebirth) so you can assume he has some power to choose. His position in the pantheon was typically that of the King/Pharaoh that had passed on to the underworld, and his son Horus representsthe living King/Pharoah, so this also lends to Osiris' high status in the Egyptian pantheon, and would also explain his ability to make such hefty decisions such as who lives and who dies. His avatar was the guy in charge during the convening of the avatars.
@@haavey some was from memory, some was a quick Google search, lol, but yeah I missed that line when I watched the episode and paid closer attention during the reactions, so I was like, huh.. I felt so proud of Steven this episode. He had a badass fight scene, did that cool jacket move, negotiated with Khonshu and gave us a final “Laters Gators”.
Marc going back to save Steven was my favorite part, that and them fighting as a team against Harrow. This episode was so satisfying. I'm happy with it. Loved your reaction.
It might actually get season 2 I think. Official MCU accounts went from "series finale" to "season finale" a few days ago on Twitter. Plus the way this episode ended, especially that mid credit scene, definitely feels like there will be season 2.
Khonshu deliberately leaving a semantic loophole when he made the deal with Marc and Steven. "I'll release _both_ of you, you have my word" Is peak malevolent genie energy.
Moon Knight and Layla teaming up was pretty awesome and the Egyptian Gods fighting each other was pretty EPIC, but this episode was way too short IMO, especially for a season finale.
I keep seeing that criticism, but no one follows it up with what else they could’ve added. They really nailed every story point they needed to hit & there wasn’t any wasted time. This was one of the few finales I was actually truly satisfied with, in terms of the Disney+ shows.
As someone who has suffered with mental health issues, PTSD, etc this show perfectly explained trauma and the results it can bring to a person, and this show helped teach me that the only person holding me back is me and I need to learn to appreciate myself despite my faults and differences which is something I really needed.
Marc: The American guy, The original, the one that went through alot, the avatar of Khonshu. Steven: The British guy, great at Egyptian mythology, super smart Jake: The Spanish guy, the most violent one, kills people, cab driver
The ending scene reminds me of a godfather or scarface mob ending. Konshu= let me introduce you to my friend. Jake= time to go night, night... pew, pew, pew. Awsome show. This is a must to see.
Khonsu really got like "Alright I'll do it myself" and just did it himself xD I mean, Jack IS his own person... So Khonshu basically just hired him like any other guy. No disagreement's broken.
Shout out to Bill Sienkiewicz. One of my favorite artists and memorialized here with the hospital name where Harrow was residing. He and Doug Moench, the writer, pretty much created the Moon Knight we know and love. Thanks for the reaction guys. Fun as always. Peace
When you understand the villain's and are able to see their viewpoint that is the mark of quality writing. I dont know what we have to do but this needs another season damn so good.
Just imagine Moon Knight, Loki, Sylvie, Scarlet Witch, Strange, all 3 spiderman...fighting against another great villain in another "Avengers" movie, it will be so amazing watching that!
When Jake become the avatar it must be the best R rated fight scene, Marc was on the ground and Jake comes out then knocks Harrowe out! He must have absorbed ALL the violence in their life and that is why JAKE was the one to really make the deal with Konshu. And Jake stayed undercover all the time!!! We need an R rated movie.
Bruce Banner has D.I.D. as a result of the abuse he suffered from his father and and his father killing his mother. Ang Lee explored it in the Hulk movie he directed.
yeah, people often mistake his alters with different transformations or forms, but they really show many aspects of his broken mind like savage, Joe fixit, professor,immortal/ devil hulk.
She reminded me of that Kryptonian woman in Man of Steel. Say what you will about the movie but her character had a bad ass fighting style. That quick dash and then devastating hits/cuts. Loved the wing shields.
What i loved about this episode: Layla's suit Steven fighting as Mr.Knight Steven and Marc switching while fighting Ammit is scary af but sexy lol Post credit scene🔥
Notice how it was a full moon when Marc took flight on his way back to face Harrow. Marc, Steven, Layla, and Jake were getting busy in this episode 🌕🌑 💯
The actor that talks for Khonshu is a pretty good actor the first time I checked him out was in the classical movie title Amadeus it's about a composer jealous of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and I think he might have won an Oscar playing that role. He was like Prince back in the powdered wig wearing days.
The Ammit and Khonsu`s Kaiju Battle was glorious. Khonshu is the God of gaslighting. Switching between Moon Knight and Mr. Knight in the fight scenes was badass. Moon Knight, Mr. Knight, and Layla vs. Arthur Harrow were extraordinary scenes. Layla's superhero suit looked marvelous. Give Oscar Issac's all the Emmy awards. I loved the limo and Khnoshu's tailor suit in easter eggs in the post-credits. This limo comes from the comics, specifically the 2014 Knights of the Moon series by Warren Ellis, Declan Shalvey, and Jordie Bellaire. Well, Khonshu is visiting Mr. Knight's tailor! The image of Khonshu in costume frequently appeared in Jeff Lemire and Greg Smallwood's 2016 series Moon Knight, which provided much of the inspiration for this television series. Overall, I enjoyed the Moon Knight TV series. My favorite part of this episode was Layla rescuing the Egyptian girl and she asked Are you an Egyptian superhero? The Layla and Taweret team-up was also amazing. Jake Lockley was giving me hit-man vibes. The shot of Moon Knight flying into the Moon was dope. Hippo!!
For some reason I was convinced that Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime's voice actor) was the voice of Khonshu. That alone should tell you how good F. Murray Abraham did if I'm comparing him to someone of Peter's calibre.

They should maybe do a "Midknight Sons" type show/movie with Black Knight, Blade and Moon Knight while Jake is in charge before they do a second season. That will keep Moon Knight more focused for a group show, will fit well with Jake's more violent personality and allow them to set up the second season with Marc and Steven trying to regain control.
I really hope this gets a season 2 or at least see more of Moon Knight in the movies. Apparently Oscar Issac said there's no plans for a season 2 but that could be a whole lie lol.

According to some sources Moon Knight was submitted for an Emmy for a limited series which is why there's been no second series. As you have said, Moon Knight will be back in some form. I hope they keep Diab and co on as consultants/executive producers.
I think the reason why the other gods' avatars were defeated so easily was because of the gods' arrogance/negligence like Khonshu said. They "abandoned" humanity by leaving the avatars as mere 'observers'. They didn't pick the avatars that were fit to fight on behalf of them like Khonshu did. Both Arthur and Marc were picked by Khonshu because of their strength, that's why they could hold their own against each other.
