Main reason I didn’t watch this series is because of the fact that Marvel was releasing too much Content 2 years ago and the fact that I didn’t care for some of The characters they were picking for TV shows plus the fact that I didn’t really care for character of this show when it comes to his comic books as much as say someone like Blade plus the series has had probably one of the weirdest responses out of any MCU project this is coming from somebody who did see Doctor Strange and really like that one Maybe this series is not that good because I know for a fact that the people worked on this did the second season of Loki which I really didn’t like from what I saw that so maybe this series is not that good as well wouldn’t know haven’t seen it
You're in for a treat. Moon Knight is my absolute favourite Marvel series and Oscar Isaac nails it every time and gets better and better in each episode!
I wrote my thesis on basis of this show and I can tell u it's absolutely amazing and fascinating. The story is amazing and the actor is doing an impecable job!
Moon Knight is such an amazing character, one of the most interesting imo! In the comics his powers are absolutely bonkers under the right circumstances, to say anything else would spoilt the surprise!
how ironic the one candy he says they didn't have in ancient egypt.... they might have. gelatin the main part of gummy bears and "jelly candy" was actually invented back then and there.
I'm always mixed if I love this series more then Loki or not. I also only know Moon Knight from some Marvel games. His suit, his personalities....everything is so well done. And the acting is amazing. I also think I'm partial because I love Egyptian history/mythology.
my fav series! i maybe tiny bit baised cause There's Egyptian people worked on it! Layla herself is Egyptian! but sadly it wasn't filmed in Egypt due to stupidity lol
Just a little fun fact: In an interview Oscar Issac said that he played Steven as autistic which explains Steven's over expressiveness, his extreme interest in Egypt, and his general awkwardness. Now there's a little issue with this: in a DID system if one alter is autistic, then all of them should be autistic. Oscar Issac didn't say anything about Marc, so I'm assuming he didn't intend to play him as autistic. But amazingly, despite that, Marc still does come off as autistic. Like Oscar Issac plays Marc as a guy suffering from PTSD and internalized ableism in regards to his DID to the point that he's trying his best to close himself off from everyone. But it can also be interpreted as an autistic man who is struggling to mask because of how freaking tired he is and is thus trying to close himself off and shove everyone away. I definitely recommend Fdelopera's analysis posts on Tumblr if you want to hear more.
Some of it is odd, like the date, the goldfish and the dead bodies. These made Steven VERY suspicious and could've been avoided (some of the bodies at least 😅)
There is Legion which is on same level if not better than Moonknight. Its not strictly Marvel, i think Fox (??) made it ,in association with Marvel but its a very underrated great series nontheless
That's a pretty big statement, what with WandaVision, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Shang-Chi and Loki season 1. And for my own part I rank Ms Marvel ahead of Moon Knight, but I realize I'm not in the majority on that one.
@@heavycritic9554 No way home was trash. That movie only worked because of the nostalgia factor. The actual story was bad. Get out of the Tobey, Andrew nostalgia and you will see just how bad the story of No way home was. And yes agreed Wandavision, Loki, Shang chi were excellent as well. Oscar Isaac did such a phenomenal job at playing the titular character in this. In case if you gents didn’t know, Ethan Hawke actually filmed a cameo in Glass Onion A Knives Out Mystery before he left to film Moon Knight.
Keep an eye out for QR codes in some episodes! Yes, MK is a much lesser known Marvel character, like the Guardians. But he is VERY interesting. Moon Knight like Hawkeye is a very underrated series. I think since it hasn't connected to any other movie beforehand it hasn't been given the same amount of mainstream attention, but Oscar Isaac is great in it, playing the multi-personality Steven Grant/Marc Spector; Steven the meek, timid and very sleep-deprived Egypt enthusiast and Marc, the titular and supernatural rogue known as Moon Knight. Ethan Hawke is good as Ammit enthusiast Arthur Harrow too. It is designed to be a little confused about what's going on, since it is the introduction of a new character, but that also makes it interesting.

@@JuLiane Nice, hadn't heard about an announcement, but there's also been occasional rumors related to a Midnight Sons movie, which Oscar Isaac has already said he'd like to do.
If Marvel is smart, which sometimes is questionable, then they have to do a second season. I won’t go into a whole lot because of spoilers for our boys here, but given the ending there is no way they can have moon knight be apart of anything else without further development with the characters in question. That cannot happen off screen or in “flashbacks”, it’s just too much, narratively speaking. As far as I can tell, status has changed from “rumors they might do a second season” to “rumors of Moon Knight season 2 being in development”, which even as far as rumors go is pretty significant. It’s also rumored to take place in New York City, which fans of the comics recognize as being more accurate and would make more sense for the MCU going forward.

Oscar was also Apocalypse in X-Men Apocalypse. Did him a disservice in that film, but always a fun catch. Anyways, his acting will blow you away in this series. Hands down best in the MCU. Enjoy the ride!
Been waiting on this show cause very much looking forward to some of Oak's insight & opinion of Oscar Issacs disassociative identity disorder portrayal. Hope yall find some enjoyment w the show. ❤💞❤️
Oscar's performance in this series is honestly one of my favorite performances in recent media. He already does an amazing job in the first episode, and makes you immediately love Steven. But as the episodes go on, it's insane to see how much he's able to do and convey with the smallest change of his facial expression. This isn't a role that just any actor could have played believably, but he absolutely nailed it.
Hi! D.I.D system here. The easiest way to explain this episode of moon knight is that Steven is an alter, Marc is and alter, they don’t remember what’s happening when the other person is out, Marc seems to be a protector so he comes out to take care of the body. Him going to the town with all of Harrows people did happen but Marc tried to trick Steven into thinking that he was just sleep walking or dreaming (which is why the fish had two fins, the first one died because it wasn’t fed and Marc replaced it). Dissociative Identity Disorder is a covert disorder which hides itself from people around in order to protect themselves but can also be hidden from the system members themselves. One of the alters (I think Marc?) made a pact with the bird god which gives the “venom” type commentary but he’s not an alter. Basically the god gave the body the power of moon knight probably thinking it was just Marc but happened to get stuck with the rest of the system as well. When his eyes roll and he rocks back and forth is a VERY cinematic version of switching. Switching is when one alter goes back and a different alter comes forward, they are completely different people, not “versions” it’s one person with multiple people.
My husband LOVES marvel superheroes so he had an idea about it but I didn’t. This show brought back my love of Egyptian mythology and the psychological thriller aspect was fascinating too. Great show really you guys are in for a treat!
Maybe you should update your encyclopedia because moon knight a character that's been around since the 70"s. And Dave is such a Debbie downer. Just remember that a lot of Egyptian iconography is in this

I have been waiting for this, best Marvel show. The only thing that topped this was Werewolf By Night, which isn’t technically a show more of a special. Oscar Issac is so good in this and I can’t wait for you to watch the next 5 episodes. Yes, Steven does have Dissociative Identity Disorder and Marc is his alter. Best portrayal ( minus the mirror interactions) I’ve ever seen on tv of it and the story arc is so cleverly written. I have no doubt that you guys will enjoy the rest of the season.
I loved this series, but if you're going to do all of them, then I can't wait for you to get to Werewolf by Night. It's just as interesting as Moon Knight as far as I'm concerned.
One of my favorites of the Marvel shows. Been waiting for this since I saw you guys were reacting to the MCU shows. Can't wait for the episodes to drop and see what you guys think of it!!
Does anyone know any shows or movies that Diamond Dave has really liked (maybe even more than the other guys)? Most of the stuff I've seen on this channel has had the 3 other guys so I have an idea about what they like now. I've only seen a couple of things with Dave and from the few I've seen, I don't think I've ever seen him be enthusiastic about the content so I'm super curious about what he's into.
moon knight is my favorite of the disney+ tv shows (tied with daredevil for all marvel tv shows). very very excited to see yalls reaction to the whole show!!
Due to his personality disorder, his scale is balanced. Not good, and not bad. And sorry to disappoint you Oak😅 it wasn't a dream sequence. His two-day absence and missing the date was because he was dealing with that. Oscar Isaac is the highlight of this show for sure. He knocked it out of the park.
The best thing about this series is, like Guardians of the Galaxy, they just fully focus on Moon Knight's own story and not involve anyone else from the MCU.

OMG YES! I WAS WAITING FOR THIS REACTION❤
Greetings from Uruguay 🇺🇾 😊
This just made me happy. Thought this was one of the best Disney+ shows
moon knight is my favorite of the disney+ tv shows (tied with daredevil for all marvel tv shows). very very excited to see yalls reaction to the whole show!!
Sad that Disney most likely dropped this after the other serials flopped hard. Moon knight was so fking good.
This series started interesting... and then got pretty rudimentary in the middle and went completely off the rails by the end.
Top tier marvel content 🔥🔥out of the million things they’ve done, this is worth watching
You guys are in for one hell of a ride! This was such a fun series. I happy to be able to rewatch it with you =)
YAY!! I LOVE THIS SERIES. Oscar Isaac is amazing in this 😊.
DID isnt a personality disorder, its a dissociative disorder :)
I love Moon Knight 🌙 being Egyptian myself, I have a small bias 😅
This show is amazing!!!! One of the best, if not the best, of the Marvel shows! Glad you guys are reacting 😊 grab some tissues for episode 5
The best thing about this series is, like Guardians of the Galaxy, they just fully focus on Moon Knight's own story and not involve anyone else from the MCU.
First 3 episodes are top tier
the show falls apart for me at episode 5, but first 4 are just amazing to me
The ending was garbage just like every other mcu shows
@@Ram-4798 hawkeye and loki have great endings
Ep 5 is great
