@@ThePenpachi Middle Eastern woman in gold armor with wings and long black hair. Oh and swords. She also has swords. Come on, man. I’d say the same if DC made a comic accurate Steel movie then Marvel made Iron Man. Steel is basically Tony and Rhodey as one character.
@@jinxie712 Layla’s hair is brown and way curlier. Her armor is more cloth-based rather than WW’s plated-armor. WW’s solid gold and Layla’s has white as the primary color, with some scarlet on the sides and bronze wings (sure there’s gold too). The overall design is different. I see more comparisons to Falcon. Not the suit design, but the fight style and utility of the wings.
My understanding for Layla in terms of the comics is that they've taken Moon Knight's usual love interest, reworked her into someone VASTLY more interesting, and then combined her with a minascule superhero called Scarlet Scarab from like...the 80s or something. So functionally she's her own new character but has at least hints of some minor Marvel characters. And she's awesome, obviously.
Can we just get a “hell yeah!” For a strong female character, who was strong even before her upgrade? I’ll start, in my best Stone Cold Steve Austin voice, “aw Hell Yeah!!!”
@@Wiley_Coyote Not a "villain" per se... just a hero who wasn't originally on the same side of the fight as the main heroes. He was protecting Egypt from outside invasion... that included the "Invaders" which were the hero team at the time.
After this "finale", Layla now appears to be an amalgamation of two existing comic characters in Marvel: the Scarlet Scarab, a Captain America-esque defender of Egypt, and Marlene Alraune, Marc's on-and-off again ex-wife in the comics whose story elements were lent to Layla for the show.
There's no way in hell this is a one-and-done series. They have set up an absolute treasure trove of stories and characters to explore. And yes, Layla does rule.
What I got from the ending. When Khonshu "set him free", he lied. He has Steven and Marc in the Mindspace while giving Jake free roam in the body. Khonshu knew about Jake all along. Wanted Jake's service. Played Marc and steven the whole time. Or. It's like ye said, Steven and Marc are oblivious to Jake but know about a 3rd person, and keep chaining themselves to the bed. I need a season 2. God daaaaayum
I kind of want an episode 7 called "Jake" where it's just all the times during the series where Mark/Stephen has blacked out and Jake murders a whole bunch of people
Because it's Disney, they had to get creative with showing how violent Jake is without showing the violence. Tarantino needs to do a Moon Knight movie! 😁
I love that they made something that Ethan Hawke just happened to add to his character as an important element to the endgame there in the "mental" asylum. Excellent writing.
It shows that Marvel / Disney and all the writers and directors respect their actors. Ethan Hawke came up with that on his own because was invested in the character they offered him, and the production team embraced it and ran with it. They made it such a memorable part of his every appearance when they could have made Arthur Harrow just another disposable villain to hate. Mad Props to Ethan Hawke and the entire team.
My favorite Disney plus show hands down. I love Oscar Isaac in this. Marc going back to save Steven was such a wholesome scene, that speech made me cry. Jake is a savage but I don't think he's evil. I hope to see more of him in season 2. Loved your reaction.
God this finale was so much fun!! Kaiju Egyptian gods throwing hands by the pyramids, Laylas gorgeous costume, the fight choreography; to quote The Collector “Magnificent! Maaaaggggnificent!” They waited until the very last minute to show us Jake Lockley and man what a reveal! Bravo!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Can’t wait to see where they go with Moon Knight moving forward
Me: Don’t get upset yet guys, wait until the post-credit scene. 22:40 - “Okay, I take it back. That’s awesome.” Hahaha I know right! That post-credit scene completed the episode. It was the perfect ending to this season, regardless of whether the rest of the episode was a little rushed.
The ability to seamlessly transition from Steve to Mark while fighting in that last episode was a visual treat. Great job to the editors and graphics teams. Bring that back in another season pleeeease.
I absolutely can confidently say that this was my favourite marvel show to date. One thing I loved was that it stood completely on its own. Little to no references to any other MCU characters / movies , no cameos needed to make it exciting because it already was amazing enough on its own. Oscar , May, Ethan and the rest of the cast did incredibly well and this series shows how much they put into this !!!! Steven lives on !!!! (Y’all - I said little to none for a reason , I know they spoke about madripoor and the ancestral plains!!!)
EXACTLY!! I missed superhero live action stuff but about one and only superhero, not connecting to the rest of the universe although crossovers are cool they kinda became stale and I missed a single superhero live action thing with one superhero and his villian and or villians. That's why this is my favourite Marvel project in a long time and that's why I loved the latest Batman movie because they stand on their own.
I hope if they do a season 2, the first episode is the Jake cut with his origin and all the scenes we missed. If they thought enough ahead to shoot the Jake sequences, or can match the sets and do them well, that would be an incredible season opener.
I honestly believe they weren't expecting this show to be such a huge success so they planned it as a one season thing. I hope they figure something out because it's been AWESOME and we all need more... Way more
The whole Layla thing? Not from the comics. Nor is Layla, strictly speaking. She's basically a stand in for Marlene, Moon Knight's main love interest (same backstory, father killed, etc). Making her Egyptian seems to be the MCU way of integrating Scarlet Scarab, an obscure as hell superhero from the old Invaders comics.
i think that the two goldfish can have a different interpretation than just Steven and Marc getting along. I think that when it was one goldfish in the tank it was only steven who didn't know what was going on while Marc was relatively in control. Now however, both Steven and Marc are in the poverbial tank and its Jake who is the only one really in control.
I don't know enough comic references to guess at what Jake's costume would look like, but I saw the glimmer of a third costume there... I'm looking forward to it, soooo much.
The Midnight Mission run from 2021 had a second “Fist of Justice” who kinda-sorta fought against our Moon Knight. His name was Dr. Badr. His Moon Knight costume had a full moon, instead of a crescent, and in addition to his black and white garb, he also had gold armor accessories. I think that would be amazing to see, even though this show took from a different run all together.
Yeah, post-credit scene redeems any issues I had. At first I wanted to see how he takes everyone down but we already got awesome action before that. Ultimately it would just be more of that but more violent, so really, the imagination fills it in just fine.
The ending was pretty interesting even before the after credits scene... Because there were two fish in the tank. It took me a second, but that's when I realized that Marc and Steven are on the same page, but Jake isn't.
I personally really like the blackout for Jake's actions. We had just received like 20 minutes of awesome superhero fight scene (which people still somehow complain about in comic book movies/shows), and here we get a psychological moment consistent with the character. If we had seen Jake in that moment, it would have made the reveal in the end credits weightless. You can't just shove everything in all at once. You gotta set your narrative dominos up before they can fall.
I had the exact same reaction. I was kind of pissed at the end, then the post credit scene came on, and I was like "YYAAAASSSSSSS". Definitely needs a season 2.
I have to disagree, I don’t feel cheated on not seeing that fight scene , it just gives much more fear that we have no idea how the fight went and it’s consistent with show.
I disagree. If they keep censoring Jack's actions, the show will be a total disappointment. They better change that the next season. Show me his violence.
@@joegreene7619 also this. If there’s one thing I hate about how Disney treats Marvel, it’s the fact that they keep holding back on the true violence of these characters. And it sucks to see it happen that we don’t witness the true nature of it.
Them not showing Jake's fights was us not seeing Marc's fights at episode 1. I think that's okay because with this they can either end it at Marc and Steven being "at peace" or they can expand and explore Jake and i tegrate him to the other two
We saw Jake's work in the Alps, first episode. Steven was awake at that time, unaware of Marc and Jake. Jake took over, handled the situation so the trio didn't die. I just assumed it was Marc. Marc would've knocked them out, not mass murk everyone.
Yeah, it seems like Marc only killed his specific hits Khonshu would give him...because there wasn't THAT many people in the dead body room. And Marc could remember where he was when he killed them by the city name. There would have been many MANY more if that room included the bodies killed by Jake as well.
Layla's father Abdul is The Scarlet Scarab in the comics; Taweret's comment about him being happy about Layla's choice is either an Easter Egg to that, or possibly meant to imply he was the Scarlet Scarab in this universe too
That Kaiju Battle was icing to an already awesome fight sequence. I also love Layla's costume and how sinister Jake looked. We do need more Moooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnn Kniiiiiggghhhhht!
Your reactions at the end of the episode versus the end of the post-credits scene… pure gold. Disappointment to astonishment in an instant. That’s how you do a post credits scene.
You two's expressions were how I was expressing. This episode was AWESOME, but I needed more, thank you! There seriously needed more episodes in this series.
This was awesome and there's so much more they can do with the world now. From more with Scarlet Scarab and Moon Knight, to doing Hathor/Sekhmet as the Bard version of Banner/Hulk, to teaming him up with Blade and Black Knight to fight werewolves, to... infinite potential.
I'm not judging this by episodes... I'm judging the entire series as one. This show could've easily been in theaters and would've done well. Phenomenal acting from Oscar Isaac and Excellent writing and directing.🏆
i find it awesome that we blackout like he does in the series and were given a feeling how it might be. and we drop in as the story goes on and don't know what happend between. they played us here too ^^
Yeah, it's not only a tactic to keep the rating down...it's also just how DID works, IRL, when you have high dissociative/amnesia barriers with an alter in a system. None of the systems I've seen watch this show ever feel cheated by the blackout scenes...they are just like "yup, that's accurate. That's a thing that happens." minus the waking up with blood and violence around you, obviously.
As someone that knew nothing about Moon Knight and had been on this journey learning with everyone else, I was pissed when the end credits rolled. Then shed a tear of joy at the final scene. Beautiful ending! They got us good.
I think the scene in the asylum is from the moment when Marc went back to save Steven in the sand, and Osiris opened the door for them, the moment they saw the bloody feet of Harrow was the moment they realized the asylum realm is not reality and they got back into their body
So the song that's been playing since episode 1 is Jake's song (or at least his genre if not the exact song it was kind of hard to tell) thus implying that Jake's been in the background all along. Maybe he's been watching. Pretty sure that accent showed up at least twice in the pysch ward and given how seamlessly he transitioned it's possible there was some bleed-through, which might explain how Mark knew about the drugs, etc. Ol' Jakie's not an alter to be trifled with and I am hype for it.
I fell in love with Layla and need to see more of her in at least something. I too had the IMMEDIATE need for her to team up with Sam. Also, I have a need for more husband and wife dynamic duo action scenes with Layla and Marc/Steven
And all the possibilities for awkward interactions because Layla clearly has come to care about Steven, and he for her. I think if Marc divorced her, Steven would marry her. LOL.
We had hints of Jake way back in episode two or three. When they were fighting on that roof in Cairo and all of a sudden all the men were laying on the ground dead and Mark and Steven were arguing with one another about who did it.
Tho the ending felt a bit rushed and wish they added another scene with mark and layla i did love this finale, i hope we get a second season maybe see Layla face off against Jake or something, unless idk there is a way for mark and steven to fight jake cuz it does sound complicated fighting yourself (unless your Oscar Isaac) I hope more will be revealed soon i do love this show and id love marvel to explore and expand more on the world of Marvel Egyptian Gods and culture
I wish it had been about 15 minutes longer. The last 10 minutes felt really rushed. But overall I enjoyed it all, and am very happy that Moon Knight seems to be sticking around.
@@RookCustoms whatever clown, lmao, Jesus hypervbole much? They weren't gonna slow down with this much tension building and the setup to Jack's reveal was masterful. That is how you payoff foreshadowing throughout an entire season, while not spoiling the main twist.
Wandavision felt like it had finality in its last episode but it left a lot of things unfinished that are getting focus in other projects (Spectrum being in Marvels, Wanda in Multiverse of Madness, etc). Falcon and Winter Soldier felt like it had finality for the story it set but it was also very clearly setting up a sequel series (Cap and the Winter Soldier). Loki outright ended on a cliffhanger and its season 2 is already in production. The way Moon Knight ended, though, is honestly a toss up. It has a sense of finality but there are a lot of loose ends. What happens to Layla/Scarlet Scarab? Do Marc and Steven have ANY idea about Jake? How do Jake and Konshu keep their antics a secret from Marc and Steven? What about the other gods, do they get new Avatars or do they say 'f this' and stay in the Overvoid, especially after the events of this and The Eternals? They're all questions we want answers to but they don't have to give us because the main conflicts of the series (marc and steven coming to terms with their D.I.D., them getting out of Khonshu's servitude, and Harrow's/Ammit's threat) are all resolved in the end. I hope/suspect that the success of Moon Knight will result in a second season and earn Moon Knight a place in the Midnight Sons project that Feige has confirmed he's trying to get done.
I think a full flavor Jake Lockley fight sequence would have been a bit too spicy for Disney Plus. Kevin Feige said "we've done enough boundary pushing for one series, gents". Though I still would have liked to see how that crocodile staff got snapped into 3 pieces.
Oscar should receive the Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor award... and judging by the post-credits scene... they should come up with a third award category so he can get that too.
I love the reaction that both Marc and Steven are both a little afraid of whoever the 3rd alter is given how they react to the violence they snap in to
The hospital thing might be the story from comic that Khonshu trying to take over Marc/Steven body for real and lock him off in the other dimension that look like a mental hospital. I figure when the hospital scene happened, Jake is in control.
Ok my head cannon is that the “Doctor Harrow” is another alter who has tried to keep Marc and Steven and Jake’s lives separate. Thus a way to get Ethan Hawke in for season 2
There's also just NPCs in innerworlds in DID...people alters can interact with but are NOT alters in the system that can take control of the body. There are also alters that ARE a part of the system...but choose to stay internal and only front of ABSOLUTELY necessary. ( From my research, it's usually caretakers who do this. They look after the child alters the majority of the time and only front of the body really really needs... caretaking and the other alters aren't able to accomplish self care themselves) The internal Harrow is more likely to be an NPC than an internal alter that can front. But only the writers would know for sure.
@@kvoltti okay...but then there would need to be a reason therapist Harrow was subconsciously created. To help them open up to each other? Bc that's all he has really done. Help Marc open up to Steven and maybe process some of the trauma Marc went through. But that's... dangerous for the system. Not helpful. It's always best to process trauma with an ACTUAL professional because destabilization is extremely common when processing trauma. It's a very tricky delicate process and if you do it incorrectly with DID patients it can absolutely cause MORE splits and dissociation to happen. And therapist Harrow may THINK he is a therapist able to help them...but he isn't. Just like an alter who is a doctor ...thinks they are a doctor but most of these alters also know they absolutely do not have the ability to help those out here with medical issues. They can give their best guess...but they usually are aware they are not medical doctors with proper training.( Multiplicityandme is an example of that! Jamie was a family doctor in their innerworld and would give advice to their friends out here if they had any minor issues...that was usually pretty good advice tbh...but he also knew he wasn't actually a doctor out here. They theroized he was a doctor bc they dealt with pretty severe neglect so he would front to take care of them when they were very sick or if they got injured bc their parents wouldn't look after them in those moments throughout their childhood and teenage years...which is very shitty of their parents but neglect is shitty. An example of a therapist alter who was under a BUNCH of denial and didn't know they weren't a professional is The Entropy System. She had a split happen and an alter who thought the Entropy system was her patient appeared...and started phoning friends and family to interview them. Thankfully, those who got such phone calls played along! They were in massive denial that they were an alter. Totally thought they were just doing their job as a therapist. But with work from an actual therapist they were able to slowly whittle away at that denial and Dissociative/amnesia barriers and communicate with that alter and that alter was able to eventually realise they were an alter and not actually a therapist.) Both systems I mentioned are on RUclips. Super informative channels. I highly recommend checking them out! But yeah...they would have to come up with a reason why...if internal Harrow IS an alter who can control the body and not just an NPC they can interact with in the innerworld. It's a very interesting theory! But a complex one due to how DID actually functions.
I think the ultimate hype scene for Jay would be X-wings doing a flyby, while a hot dog vendor looks up and cheers on Spider-Man swinging by, and Moon Knight does his jump-and-fly silhouetted by the moon to join Spider-Man and the X-wings.
Jake has been the most successful at hiding his identity from the other two. He's been able to keep that wall up & therefore is the most powerful one of the bunch. Not to mention he's ruthless.
If I recall correctly, Layla is based off of the Scarlet Scarab from the comics. In the comics the Scarlet Scarab is Dr. Abdul Faoul, protector of Egypt. Abdul Faoul might be a family member to Layla El-Faouly? Or maybe she's just the TV adaptation of Abdul Faoul. Either way, she's a fucking badass.
In the show, Abdul is her father's name. Taweret's comment about her father being happy with her decision felt like a nod to him being the original in the comics
She’s a MCU original character who is standing in for Marlene (?), Moon Knight’s love interest in the comics. She has the same history as Marlene. The only difference is her relation to Abdul Faoul which Marlene didn’t have. This way, Marvel could make her MCU Scarlet Scarab. Think of MJ in the Tom Holland Spider-Man films. She’s a MCU original character, but she’s clearly meant to also be a version of a comics character (in her case Mary Jane).
Since they made certain characters avatars of Egyptian gods even though in the comics they're not... It would be cool to see these other characters to be avatars as well: Raul Bushman - as avatar of Set Midnightman - as avatar of Tot Shadow Knight - as avatar of Horus or other gods with connection with Moon as well Etc.
So, Layla is the MCU version of a character called the Scarlet Scarab. In the comics, that was actuall Dr. Abdul Faoul - the character who was Layla's dad in the MCU.
As far as I understood from a person with DID, who shared their opinion about the DID depiction on this show, DID systems (the group of identities) sometimes have an inner world that can be anything (dr. Harrow talked about it in episode 5 and said it can even look like a mental hospital) where the identities can communicate (not everyone has it though). But beyond that, they have an inner safe space that they can escape to and which sometimes gaslights them and alters their memories to help them avoid the truth/reality they can't handle. Here that safe space is dr. Harrow and his office. At least this is kind of the way they explained it... Both Marc and Steven ended up there when they got triggered/freaked out and couldn't handle the truth and Harrow tried to help them by first covering it all up and later by making them face what they need to face. In this last episode Harrow tried to shield them from the truth again, to offer them a happier simpler life (like Marc tried to do with Steven in the beginning) but this time they were finally strong enough to not need it. So it's not really a "did this all happen or not" situation as much as it's them getting rid of their self doubt and giving up another mental crutch that helped them cope.
I don’t feel cheated out on the fight just because it shows how dangerous Jake really is compared to Marc which is already a mercenary and showing how they were about to die but Jake killed everyone with ease makes him scary
I like that they didn't show Jake fighting Harrowe, mainly because just like the start of the series, we never actually saw Mark's perspective of things until after Mark was fully introduced, so it just keeps things consistent in that way.

The silence at the end - hilarious.
AYO JESSE WHATCHU DOIN HERE???
Hey Jesse! Good to see you checking out the Preview'd boys!
Well this was an crossover I wasn't ready for when I scrolled down!
I like how the Moon Knight fantom went "OUR wife" when Layla became Scarlet Scarab
"oK, I take it back, this is awesome." it's this shows entire energy
My understanding for Layla in terms of the comics is that they've taken Moon Knight's usual love interest, reworked her into someone VASTLY more interesting, and then combined her with a minascule superhero called Scarlet Scarab from like...the 80s or something. So functionally she's her own new character but has at least hints of some minor Marvel characters. And she's awesome, obviously.
The person that was scarlet scarab in the comics was Abdullah El Foley (possibly butchered spelling) aka: Laylas dad.
Villain originally. They just recycled the name.
@@TheLoreSeeker Fair enough.
They had to not show the Jake action scene to make the ending scene work. Konshu the bastard with the long con.
He's such a prick in the comics, I am so happy they didn't dial it back even a little.
Honestly this has great potential for a season 2 where Khonshu is a full on dick, and Marc/Steven/Jake break free from him
@@HandOfVecna1188 yeap!
@@HandOfVecna1188 Is he? Comics Khonshu would probably just refuse to set Marc and Steven free.
@@Serryy Seeing as how MCU Khonshu straight lied about it, I feel there is parity here. Especially given the time constraints.
Steven fighting like a badass once he realized he’s capable of fighting too was so great.
The dead silence from pure shock for the entirety of the Jake Lockley introduction is exactly how I felt lol
This has absolutely been my favorite Disney+ MCU show from beginning to end (even though I wish the finale was 10-20 minutes longer).
It felt like they sped up a bit much at points. Sometimes it felt a little disjointed
@@GamerGrovyle Yes, exactly. Some moments, while great, needed just a little bit of breathing room.
While I agree with u I do feel the character development was still great for the main character. Maybe a tad bit longer but still a very solid show.
Same!
@@GamerGrovyle I did feel the last episode seemed a bit rushed too.
It's been submitted to awards shows as a "limited series"....so unless they changed their mind AFTER submitting it...it's only 1 season, sadly.
I kind of want an episode 7 called "Jake" where it's just all the times during the series where Mark/Stephen has blacked out and Jake murders a whole bunch of people
"Authorities still searching after the vicious Chainsaw murderer responsible for killing 17 people"
Because it's Disney, they had to get creative with showing how violent Jake is without showing the violence. Tarantino needs to do a Moon Knight movie! 😁
It will be called season 2, think jake will be the bad guy
I *need* a season 2 especially since they finally introduced Jake Lockley
@@mreese1984 Oh yes, please, I want to see that!^^
I love that they made something that Ethan Hawke just happened to add to his character as an important element to the endgame there in the "mental" asylum.
Maaaaggggnificent!”
They waited until the very last minute to show us Jake Lockley and man what a reveal! Bravo!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Can’t wait to see where they go with Moon Knight moving forward

“Do you get a beautiful hippo suit?”

Jay and Adam need to see this LOL
@@jeffquinz2118 Yeah that was one of my favorite things I've ever heard Adam say and Jay's reaction was the best.
Me: Don’t get upset yet guys, wait until the post-credit scene.
22:40 - “Okay, I take it back. That’s awesome.”
Hahaha I know right! That post-credit scene completed the episode. It was the perfect ending to this season, regardless of whether the rest of the episode was a little rushed.
I knew that when Ammit grew, Jay was going to say, “MAKE MY MONSTER GROW!”
I almost had a heart attack when we were back in the asylum near the end of the episode
2 references I saw. Madripoor and the ancestral plane.
But yeah.
@@EternalDensity yep , that’s why I said little to none !! Stands so well on its own

Definitely a season 2. Jake Lockley has finally appeared and Khonshu knew about him. Just waited for the right time to use him.
Jake
Jake appeared in every episode not just the post credit scene.
It's a limited show ,we are not getting season 2
I want more Jake Loco- I mean Lockley
@@ROUGHSEES fully appeared. Got glimpses. Still you're right.
Way more
Nah dude, with that ending? Definitely knew they were in for a season 2
@@cheezyfilmsproductions1842 Might have been filmed after they found out how big a hit they had on their hands.
Could be that they don't intend to do Moon Knight season 2 but instead include Moon Knight in something else.
You're kidding yourself if you think that
@@TheLoreSeeker That would be a major cop-out with the reveal of Jake
The whole Layla thing? Not from the comics. Nor is Layla, strictly speaking. She's basically a stand in for Marlene, Moon Knight's main love interest (same backstory, father killed, etc). Making her Egyptian seems to be the MCU way of integrating Scarlet Scarab, an obscure as hell superhero from the old Invaders comics.
But they made her character, and powers cool as f**
@@lyricsassam They sure did. I‘m hooked on her character now!!!
They also made her a cheater so yeah shes garbage
an amalgam character. mcu is full of them
i think that the two goldfish can have a different interpretation than just Steven and Marc getting along.
I'm looking forward to it, soooo much.
its probably the black suit from the comics.
shadow knight "the black suit" maybe ?
Maybe the modern suit?
The Midnight Mission run from 2021 had a second “Fist of Justice” who kinda-sorta fought against our Moon Knight. His name was Dr. Badr. His Moon Knight costume had a full moon, instead of a crescent, and in addition to his black and white garb, he also had gold armor accessories. I think that would be amazing to see, even though this show took from a different run all together.
It’s SPKTR, all white with glowing eyes/headlights (which were on during the day), no parking problems and perfect for body disposal.
The way Jake smiled before shooting Harrow, he's a sadistic bastard.
"Now it's your turn to lose" SHIVERS harrow shot marc like twice? And jake paid that back twice fold
Yeah, post-credit scene redeems any issues I had. At first I wanted to see how he takes everyone down but we already got awesome action before that. Ultimately it would just be more of that but more violent, so really, the imagination fills it in just fine.
Agreed. We got plenty of awesome action. I like that Jake's specific actions are still being kept ambiguous for now.
Marc: “you want them dead? Do it yourself”
Khonshu: bet
Such a great reaction. The stunned, "No. No!" at the ending was perfect.
I have to disagree, I don’t feel cheated on not seeing that fight scene
, it just gives much more fear that we have no idea how the fight went and it’s consistent with show.
I think that's okay because with this they can either end it at Marc and Steven being "at peace" or they can expand and explore Jake and i tegrate him to the other two
@@Felhek bro it’s jakes introduction chill, they’re not censoring all
It also gives it a mystery on what Jake is like. And I feel like that could be explored with another season of future mcu movie projects?
"The treasure was the hammocks we made along the way." Haha, I liked this video just for that line alone.
I knew I would love your reactions to this! Especially Steven kicking butt, Layla's costume reveal, and the after credit scene. Love you guys!!
I LOVED!! how Jake was all in black...he was like the dark side of the moon! Brilliant 👏 👏
Our real superpower was the dissociative identities we made along the way.
Jay and Adam Are my favourite rewatch. So emotional and funny.
"Well Marc and Steven aren't Moon Knight anymore, but Jake sure the hell is." xD
Yeah, the way they did that after-credits, going from disappointing to 🤯 was just 👌
So the song that's been playing since episode 1 is Jake's song (or at least his genre if not the exact song it was kind of hard to tell) thus implying that Jake's been in the background all along.
Tho the ending felt a bit rushed and wish they added another scene with mark and layla i did love this finale, i hope we get a second season maybe see Layla face off against Jake or something, unless idk there is a way for mark and steven to fight jake cuz it does sound complicated fighting yourself (unless your Oscar Isaac) I hope more will be revealed soon i do love this show and id love marvel to explore and expand more on the world of Marvel Egyptian Gods and culture
at the very least I hope he becomes an important side character or like co star in one of the future movies
I don't see why they'd "fight" Jake... he's not a villain. He's just a version of them that doesn't have as many qualms about getting his hands dirty.
yeah it rush if jake take the job
no unnecessary action just straight killing
The treasue was the hammocks we built along the way… I laughed snorted too 😂
Im proud of the fact that i'm half Egyptian and know Arabic, Hieroglyphics and can understand what's written on the walls before any breakdown
Kudos to you Jay for reserving judgement!! Superb reaction again gentlemen
I wish it had been about 15 minutes longer. The last 10 minutes felt really rushed. But overall I enjoyed it all, and am very happy that Moon Knight seems to be sticking around.
1000% rushed
Konshu at the end was like if Steven isn't gonna wear the suit then I'm gonna rock it.
That POST SCENE was amazing ✨👏🏽
Oscar should receive the Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor award... and judging by the post-credits scene... they should come up with a third award category so he can get that too.
I love the reaction that both Marc and Steven are both a little afraid of whoever the 3rd alter is given how they react to the violence they snap in to
The hospital thing might be the story from comic that Khonshu trying to take over Marc/Steven body for real and lock him off in the other dimension that look like a mental hospital. I figure when the hospital scene happened, Jake is in control.
"What a spicy hot chocolate this show was." I'm dead, LMAO
Ok my head cannon is that the “Doctor Harrow” is another alter who has tried to keep Marc and Steven and Jake’s lives separate. Thus a way to get Ethan Hawke in for season 2
There's also just NPCs in innerworlds in DID...people alters can interact with but are NOT alters in the system that can take control of the body.
There are also alters that ARE a part of the system...but choose to stay internal and only front of ABSOLUTELY necessary. ( From my research, it's usually caretakers who do this. They look after the child alters the majority of the time and only front of the body really really needs... caretaking and the other alters aren't able to accomplish self care themselves)
The internal Harrow is more likely to be an NPC than an internal alter that can front. But only the writers would know for sure.
@@AnxietyRat I think for dramatic purposes an internal alter is more effective with the orderlies and other patients being NPCs
But with work from an actual therapist they were able to slowly whittle away at that denial and Dissociative/amnesia barriers and communicate with that alter and that alter was able to eventually realise they were an alter and not actually a therapist.)
Both systems I mentioned are on RUclips. Super informative channels. I highly recommend checking them out!
But yeah...they would have to come up with a reason why...if internal Harrow IS an alter who can control the body and not just an NPC they can interact with in the innerworld. It's a very interesting theory! But a complex one due to how DID actually functions.
Burps and Farts and Uninteresting Parts is the children's book that we all want Jay and Adam to write.
I think the ultimate hype scene for Jay would be X-wings doing a flyby, while a hot dog vendor looks up and cheers on Spider-Man swinging by, and Moon Knight does his jump-and-fly silhouetted by the moon to join Spider-Man and the X-wings.
Wilson Fisk and Vito Corlione approve of the post credit scene
According to Marvel, Layla is the "Scarlet Scarab" from the comics
It would be cool to see these other characters to be avatars as well:
Raul Bushman - as avatar of Set
Midnightman - as avatar of Tot
Shadow Knight - as avatar of Horus or other gods with connection with Moon as well
Etc.
When i saw the gloved hands, i thought "Jake?" and then I saw the cap, i went OH IT'S DEFINITELY JAKE!!!
So, Layla is the MCU version of a character called the Scarlet Scarab. In the comics, that was actuall Dr. Abdul Faoul - the character who was Layla's dad in the MCU.
That episode was such a roller coaster. Amazing reaction
Layla is made up for this series. She’s a mixture of Marlene Alraune and Scarlett Scarab.
I do not have anything deep to say but having Steven back made me happy. As always you are one of my favorite reaction channel.
I think, when there is 1 gold fish, it's mark or Steven there, now there is 2, because Jake is in control.. they are in a mind prison (aquarium)
I don’t feel cheated out on the fight just because it shows how dangerous Jake really is compared to Marc which is already a mercenary and showing how they were about to die but Jake killed everyone with ease makes him scary
"Okay .....I take it back, that was Awesome!"😂😂👍
I love your bits. Your "MooooOOOOOOoooon Knight" this time sounded more like a tornado siren than cookie crisp. 😆
I like that they didn't show Jake fighting Harrowe, mainly because just like the start of the series, we never actually saw Mark's perspective of things until after Mark was fully introduced, so it just keeps things consistent in that way.
Yeaaah. I’m a little in love with Layla and the gold winggy costume right now.
It's super fly
I love how Steven’s fighting style is so gangly and unpracticed
