Have you ever thought of doing a "10 Things You Didn't Know" on the 1998 Godzilla movie with Matthew Broadrick? While it was unmercifully panned the Animated series made from the movie ran for 3 years on FOX Kids. It also won a promotional vote in your favorite Saturday cartoon/show via mail in letters and (for the first time) by e-mail. The entire morning slot for cartoons was all Godzilla.
Man 1998 Godzilla was sooooo bad. Lol. I pretty much try and pretend it doesn't exist. And if I'm not mistaken, I'm fairly certain Minty has already done a 10 Things About the 1998 Godzilla.
The father of Sam Witwicky and the father of the SmallSoldiers saying "What are you packing, Tiny?" But he was so bad in Godzilla 2000 asking where are the F-16s and the radio guy next says they are going back to base. "Well, get back on and tell them to turn around." And when Matthew Broderick says they are on the Brooklyn Bridge and he repeats "Well, tell them to go to the Brooklyn Bridge." And when he tells O'Neill after they kill Gond-zilla "You did good... you did good."
What? Didn't Minty already do a video on Men in Black? :::Minty puts on shades and uses neuralyzer::: Awesome! A brand new video. And its Men in Black!
There was a Tabletop Roleplaying Game for this movie It was produced by West End Games (They also did Star Wars, Indiana Jone, Ghostbusters, as well as Tales from the Crypt, Tank Girl, DC Universe and Hercules and Xena, you can see why the is/was my favourite game company) Yeah, I collect RPG's
I always loved the way MIBs were portrayed in the X-Files episode: Jose Chung's From Outer Space (which pre-dated the first MIB movie). Definitely my favorite episode of the series. Its a stand alone episode too, so one can watch and appreciate that episode without having to know any back story.
Men In Black was THE film of its year. Perfect from beginning to end. And when Will Smith said “Hire a decorator to come in here quick, cuz...DAMN.”, the theater EXPLODED with laughter and I hurt from laughing! Classic.
Man the ending in the 3rd one made the original much more meaningful when he finds out about his dad and K become his “stepfather” (you every flashy thing me K?)
The first one is still by far the best. The other two sequels are watchable, but they simply pale in comparison to the original. Such a great movie. To this day, I can still sit back and watch it all the way through and enjoy it each time.
The Men In Black melody taken from a pop song, Will Smith admitted that he'd used the melody with permission and made sure the female artist got royalties for it as well.
actually the artist said that his agent asked to use a "small clip" please sign this release? she was going to do it but decided to listen to the song first and IT WAS HER SONG. so she demanded they pay her
If only Vanilla Ice did that than he wouldn't have gotten sued by Queen & David Bowie because the sample from their song "Under Pressure" taken by Vanilla for his song *Ice Ice Baby!* but it's good to see an artist like Smith actually give credit/royalties to those artists samples that used for his hits back in those days smart move by The Fresh Prince.
Yes Mr Evil Dead would have worked as the bug alien and I think they had the right people as K and J. They had the guy from Wings, Monked, and that awful movie Pain and Gain get his head shot at the Pawn shop
There was this one kid in middle school...every time he saw me, he would say "K GET DOWN" and pretend to shoot the noisy cricket. No matter where I was in the hall, I would duck down behind a locker and pretend I was K... Years later I saw him across the mezzanine at my local mall. We made eye contact and I started to duck down... He kept walking and I never saw him again.
Love the Men in Black. This was a great video, as always. I think you forgot another thing about this movie people forget. The real Men in Black approved of this movie to help shroud the fact they actually exist. I know because I've seen them. In fact I.... Hold on, someones at the door. I'm sorry, what was I saying? Hey, this looks like a cool video, I might have to watch it. So weird, it looks like I was already leaving a comment. Why would I do that if I haven't even watched it yet?
I'm sure I've seen this video before, but I can't remember...... I'm sure I've seen this video before, but I can't remember........ I'm sure I've seen this video before, but I can't remember. Good video.
I have a friend who's parents went to the MIB movie when it first came out who walked out of the movie. They apparently had not seen any commercials and only heard of the movie word of mouth. Cause they apparently had expectations that this was supposed to be some sort of documentary about the Urban Legends of the MIB and were disappointed when it wasn't. I don't understand why they just didn't stay and watch as it is such a great movie but, I guess when it wasn't what they were hoping for they just couldn't wrap their minds around the movie. Me on the other hand...I LOVE MIB!
Minty .. Sir .. please make 10 things you didn’t know about Videodrome .. it would be so great if you did .. and side note thanks for 10 things you didn’t know about Repo Man.. one of the best cult movie of 80’s ever made 😎
The best part about the cartoon was the character of L got a lot more screen time. When the sequel came out, I was sorely disappointed that she wasn't in it.
Seriously - saw it, clicked on it, liked it, thought I heard it from Minty before, thought I was neuralized, then read the full title.... "re-upload".... Ah.
Another great review, Minty. How about reviewing the original CLASH OF THE TITANS?!....one of my favorite films growing up. The recent remake did not do it justice, but it did populist the original version leading to a blu Ray release.
Damn. Tommy thought he couldn't be funny. But I think he forgot just how good of an actor he is. And Will is more of a natural than he himself thought, too.
1 little known fact about the MIB effects crew and director: there were talks about making a Parasyte live action movie. In the Tokyopop published mangas, there was a special interview with the MIB crew who expressed interest in doing a film adaptation of the sci-fi horror manga! The Monsterous transformations of the Parasytes would have a spectacular delight; but sadly, the talks fell through and Parasyte wouldn't get a movie til another decade or so- but with a awesome anime adaptation.
Did you know the creator of the comic book felt inspired to create the comic, after he had a real life encounter with the men in black? It made the creator wonder what type of jobs they had. Who did they answer to? Then he created the comic. Did you also know Director Steven Spielberg liked the comic because it didn’t deal with super powers? I remember reading it about this in a magazine when the movie came out years ago.
I would suggest just doing a monologue against a black background. But you'd likely get an angry letter from whoever in the world owns the rights to the color Black. Still love your channel though, Minty. Keep the nice ones coming. *
I think that Jones' issue with Batman Forever was that he thought he was signing up for a Batman movie, not the Jim Carrey show. Also, I have heard several times, that the people running the show had very distinct visions of the way they wanted the characters to be, and refused to let the actors develop their own personas (except for Carrey). The end result being what many consider to be one of the worst of the Bat movies.
Fun fact. John Keel- author of the book "Mothman Prophecies" accidentally started an urban legend in West Point Virginia, when his car broke down, and he went door to door to ask to call for a tow truck, and one couple that answered him, was on the silver bridge when it collapsed. And since he was dressed unusual for the time, the way he dressed hadn't made it's way all of the country, he was thought to be the devil.
Watching your clips is like in the old days going to a Video Recorder movie store and rent on. Some there are so well done you never ever want to give them out of your hands again, a lot of them are top, others are very good ones and there are the surprises to find an elder film among them and then there ar a couple of them you are not so interested in :::= Thank you for this
Surprised you didn't mention Burger King's toy lineup for this movie. I remember the toys in general, and playing with a pretend version of that neuralizer especially.
Speaking of movies I think no one remembers but me, does anyone else remember 1992’s “Noises Off”... loved that movie. I’d love to see a 10 things about that... if I’m not the only one... which is likely... cuz we could only afford old releases at blockbuster as a kid haha

I doubt he'll ever do 10 things about Godzilla 1998. Unless he wants to, but as a Godzilla fan, just don't.
"You know what the difference is between you and me? I make this look good 😎😎😎😎😎"
I just watched this movie the other day, and still love it! It’s stood up so well since it’s been out for almost 25 years now

There were two companies that got the licence for Indie, West End Games and TSR,
TSR had it first

Lori Petty is the man who played Tank Girl...

MIB has aged surprisingly well.
The first is so brilliant.
The first one is still by far the best.
The other two sequels are watchable, but they simply pale in comparison to the original. Such a great movie. To this day, I can still sit back and watch it all the way through and enjoy it each time.
That reminds me, I need to buy the trilogy one of these days.

I can't imagine Clint Eastwood as Agent K, but I can definitely imagine Bruce Campbell as Edgar the Bug.

I loved the Men in Black cartoon as a child, seriously good. This video refreshed my memory
I always thought GWAR should have been snuck into this movie for a cameo!
I see you are a man of culture as well.

Same here I liked the M.I.B cartoon and I even had the video game on my playstation
I like Minty videos. Hits the spot on days I feel like watching this style of video. Stumbled across you a few times before I finally subscribed.
10 Things You Didn't Know About Superman (1978 Christopher Reeve)
Oh, a reupload, nice. I think I will rewatch this Saturday Night.....wonderful homage to the 1964 New York Worlds Fair grounds in Queens NY.
Loved the background music this episode! Great video as usual.
The NOISY CRICKET!!! So much POWER!!!
4:14 Right on brother !!! To quote an old phrase... "Don't believe the hype!"
2:02, never knew it was based on a comic book when I first saw the movie.
2:10 never knew Trump was an MIB.
Well, maybe I did know it before my memory was wiped.
I have fond memories of this one as I got it on vhs for Christmas along with several boxes of basketball cards.
I think that the MIB was the reason the original video got copyrighted. Conspiracy? I think NOT!!!
I would love to see you do "My Blue Heaven" or maybe "High Anxiety".
Rick Baker worked on Michael Jackson Thriller too

10 things you didn’t know about Cool World 😏..
It's an underrated film
Heck yeah
A young Brad Pitt
One fact you missed at the end is that Dan Aykroyd actually claims to have seen the real MIB
Yea, I guess they wanted to silence him for having a UFO show then out of nowhere his show got cancelled
I remember when it came out, US politician Newt Gingrich attacked it for making a joke that he was an alien in disugise.
Really?
Probably hit too close to home. He didn't think anyone would notice.
7:07, Rick Baker. Too bad he retired in 2014, due to CGI heavy movies taking over Hollywood.
MIB is gloriously 90's and I love it. 💙
Just re-watched this randomly the other night. Still very good.

The first 3 MIB were great. Great Job Minty!
the little alien in the man's head is truly amazing animatronics, it blew my mind the first time i saw it, it looks so realistic in its expressions.
