@@Gravydog316 Winston was a great character because he wasn't just "the black ghostbuster", he was the normal guy the audience could relate to and see themselves as (Venkman may have been closer to Earth than Ray and Egon, but he was still a fast-talking PhD level scientist). A guy fresh out of the military, working construction to pay the bills, but still not satisfied with where he currently is in the world. Tolan was just a lazily written caricature whose depth amounted to nothing more than "the black one". "Eyez fromz da streetz!" was one of the most cringeworthy lines I've ever heard. Ernie Hudson never would've said anything that degrading

Winston got a lot of great lines. After being asked a long list of things he believes in, his answer? A perfectly sincere "As long as there's a steady paycheck in it, I'll believe anything you say". Winston filled an important role: The everyman who is supposed to be most like the average audience member. Watching three scientists go after ghosts is all well and good, but throw a normal guy in who's experiencing stuff totally out of his league, and you got something special.

The Ghostbusters theme uses identical instruments to recreate the track note for note. The only difference being the lyrics.

Just gonna say this; the 2016 movie is actually a GOOD MOVIE. It captures the essence of the original movie better than GB2 did and provides a different take on the concept. Is it perfect? No way. It was never meant to win an Oscar. It's just a FUN movie. I don't understand the hate it gets or the hate it got before anyone had even seen a single shot of the film.

Andrew Wallington . I have no hate for Melissa or the other females . In my opinion Fans 1#- Thinks if their was another movie..the originals should of gotten it..even if they wrote out bill Murray and put in a different person .like a family or friend in the story criteria. But Columbia ...turned down a 3rd.
2nd- Movies like GB should not be rebooted in fans perspective.especially after Harold ramis death.
Slimmer and Gozer was cgi. And some other things...but Paul fieg went all Michael bay and not attempt to making it as good as 1&2 . Especially towards the end when all the ghost was on the loose
. Movies like GB should be left alone especially from reboots . Mortal Kombat is being Rebooted by James Wan. And locations are already being planned for scene filming.. Even though James Wan is pretty awesome at his movies... I'm sure alot of fans are concerned. Mk1 movie was awesome..part 2..Not so much... But still fans watch it.. Being one of the best games since the 90s and a reboot is now in mode for movie... It's very very hard to please the fans especially in Ghostbusters and other movies like it. We consider one and 2 of the Ghostbusters a masterpiece and such masterpiece shouldn't be rebooted..some don't like GB 2 but we watch it . Melissa is hilarious in alot of her movies .a good actress and the others.. that's how my opinion is.

That Ghostbusters game was designed by the legendary David Crane, believe it or not. It was originally made for the Commodore 64 and the other versions are ports. It had to be developed in 6 weeks because the movie was already in theaters by then, so they converted a game named Car Wars that was already in development into a Ghostbusters game. It sold well at the time and was well reviewed, although there were a few dissenting voices including Ernie Hudson himself. The NES version came out four years later and is generally considered to be a bad port, but the Atari 2600 version is considered to be pretty good so take that how you will.

They did have John Belushi kinda in the movie. His spirit took the form of Slimer.

In groundhog day he played a neurologist but he didn't act in caddyshack. However he did direct both movies and both movies also had Bill Murray.

Okay. Dan Akroyd, Eddie Murphy and John Belushi would have made a great GB team as much as I love Bill Murray! Jeff Goldblum would have been good in Ramis' part too.

Non cannon though but still interesting fact. Marvel did a "the eal Ghostbusters" comic book series in which they gave Slimer a backstory before he died. He was actually named King Remils who died while being obese.

He may not have officially been named slimer, but at one point Ray does mention the name Slimer. "Here is we store all vapors, and entities, and Slimers that we trap" the scene where Ray is teaching Winston how to use the containment facility.

Here's one might now have known: In Ghostbusters II, when the Ecto 1 is shown making loud bangs (called "backfire") as Stantz drives it with Zeddermore riding with him in the beginning, those aren't sound effects-those are real, as the same Ecto 1 from the first one was being used in the second one, and it showed real signs of running rough.

Dana: "That's the bedroom, but nothing ever happened in there."
    Peter: "What a crime!"
One of my all time favorite movies. I just wish that there wasn't the overacting redhead guy at the end. :(
