Over the past 8-10 years I've been adding more herbs to my garden and blending my own teas. Something I really love doing. Lovely presentation! I have a few of the same books and many more. I love used book sales and have found some great herbal books there: The New Encyclopedia of Flower Remedies by Clare G. Harvey, The Complete Herbal Sourcbook by David Hoffman, The Herbal Tea Garden by Marietta Marshall Marcin and Herbalism in Real Life Plant Magic by Christine Buckley. Can't go wrong with any books by Rosemary Gladstar! I love Deb Soule's book and Stephen Harrod Buhner. There are so many great books out there!
I envy your library. That tea garden book really caught my attention. Surprisingly I don’t have anything by Rosemary Gladstar, yet she is one of my favorite herbalists. Adding these to my wishlist. :)
@@theacadiangarden See if your local libraries have annual fundraising book sales - I have found some amazing finds there! Also you can find used books for sale at Goodwill and other thrift shops. I have collected over many years! Picked up two Rosemary Gladstar books from free piles! The hunt is fun.

Agree wholeheartedly with the recommendation for Backyard Medicine! I keep having to buy new copies as I loan that book out and it never seems to come back. I’d also suggest any of Susun Weed’s books, even for novices. And above all, for those who’ve fallen deeply in love with plants as healers, Matthew Wood is the writer to seek out, especially The Book of Herbal Wisdom.

I buy a lot of herbal encyclopedias type books on thrift books online. Im a in person shopper so as I am parusing through a book store, I double check i cant get it cheaper there. Lot of times i have gotten 40 dollar books for half price or even cheaper.
That’s a great way to do it. I also tend to buy what I come across in person as I like to peruse the contents first. Though I may be ordering online soon if I can’t find some of the books ya’ll are suggesting!

Any books on healing herbs for men?
I haven’t read any personally, but I am studying the most common health problems experienced by or unique to men and incorporating that information when making wellness blends for my husband. Herbs that focus on promoting heart health and prostate health like yarrow and stinging nettle (respectively) are great places to start. Specifically nettle root can promote the shrinking of an enlarged prostate.
