It's always so nice to hear Mozart's more mature symphonies played so beautifully!
When we tought over Mozart is All ever done, appears Kyrill Petrenko and show us the most brilliant Mozart i ever heard
He may look like a cross between Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Durante, but he's a superb musician, and clearly communicates with the Philharmoniker as if by magic. May they enjoy many years of concerts -- and recordings! -- together.
I just LOVE how he conducts! You can really tell he is enjoying the music.
-presto
-sharp notes
- beautiful sound of blended strings
-spreads happy and joyful vibes
Splendid energetic approach to this splendid and energetic symphony. Accents and fraseggio close to perfection
this sounds sharp, lively, alert, brisk, rhythmical to a fault, happy, exultant, with some restrained euphoria.... mozart would have loved it. Sharp as mustard as we say in the UK.
The Berlin Phil have always been incredible with mozart.... the reason of course is in their famous precision. I love the lot of them. Heavens they all sounded so alive!
The very first record (LP) that I bought in my life was Mozart's Haffner Symphony! I first heard it when I was a student at the University of Utah oh so many years ago and the University of Utah Ballet performed to this music!! It remains my favorite of his symphonies to this day!! Marvelous recording by the Berliner Philharmoniker!!
Kirill Petrenko ....is Magic Conductor
Berliner....Esecuzioni Regali...
Insieme ....La Musica
Che Vive 💪🎶😊
OMG the strings section...
Oh, the sound beauty of the strings blended with the wind instruments and the drum resonate an exquisite joy to the mind...
The timpani part just blows me away!
Yeah so many interpretations lack big timpani strokes. Like come on, they sound so good. Thank God we have conductors like Petrenko (both Petrenko's actually) or Mackerras (RIP)
it is like a present💙
Great interpretation..., and the Berliner Philharmoniker, fantastic as always.
I am gleaming with joy
Haffner, Linz, Paris territory is so well trodden that it takes this kind of passion & diligence to bring a fresh breath of life to it.
Wow this is amazing, never seen(heard) him before, but this is an beyond godlike take to the Haffner 4th movt.
I don't think it is possible for me to like this anymore than I presently do.
A melhor Orquestra do Mundo. Performance perfeita.
Love the feel of the music, the mood brings people together.
This sound WAY better that those Mozart symphonies recorded with Rattle and Berlin (of which you can also find short clips on this channel).
That's good news.
I love this conductor!!
This is my favorite recording of this piece ever!!
OMG. Petrenko is really amazing.
Great tempi dynamics and above all great spirit of Mozart
Best version I've ever heard.
such amazing ensemble playing!!!
I saw only one conductor in my life where the Music flew from his hands...Carlos Kleiber ! Petrenko is the next!
Try Yannick Nezet-Seguin, too... Or Gardiner.
But yeah, Petrenko is amazing as every note makes sense.
you are right!
Lovin' this guy!
Unstuffen believable. Very very sharp and clean. Already loving Petrenkos style with Berlin Phil. The Orchestra sounds way better than before. I am a Rattle fan but jeez this Pentreko guy is auper
Petrenko
love him so much
Amazing.
hi, they are really outstanding band of music players.
What a conductor, and what a Berliner Philharmoniker... .
- notes are sharp
-tempo is fast (presto)
- the presence of the timpani in the orchestra surprised me
-joyful
- i felt like going back and forth
No other recording I’ve heard has such a prominent timpani in that initial outburst in the finale. It certainly works really well in context!
Amazing, a dream to play in this orchestra!!!!!!!!!
Bravo Petrenko and Berlin phil!
I'm in heaven!
Eine richtige Atmosphäre: lebendig und mit Humor.
Sublime. Sin palabras
Mozart großartig interpretiert, Bravo Maestro Petrenko
sabían que mozart cura las personas y animales
Magnificent!!!
They're so BRILLIANT! Hah
I'm loving the tempo, it really brightens the piece up!
In this symphony Mozart sounds like Haydn. A lot of energy and humour. maybe its the interpretation that sharped all the edges and went to the extremes. I have mixed feeilings about this one. But still I love Petrenko and his great sense of humour and dynamic control.
A. This symphony does not sound like Haydn, only a clueless about Mozart or Haydn would think so.
B. "I have mixed feeilings about this one"
Believe me your majesty, no one cares about your mix feelings. The differnece is that Petrenko is conducting the BP and you are writing an idiotic opinion on UT.
@@prager5046 My god the irony.. haha! You call someone else out on writing an idiotic comment on youtube? Take a good look at yourself pal! People are completly entitled to their own opinions, and if you don’t accept other people’s views on music, then you are the short sighted one, as i have seen you comment on others comments.
Quite frankly, it is disgusting the way you say that somebody is ”clueless” for interpreting this symphony as energetic.
Music is subjective and free, and if you don’t think so, then i must respectfully consider you short-sighted and clueless.
Get a life, be more open to others, and learn simple manners - and i think the result will be benificial to you. You will not only succeed in your own dreams, you will also be more respected and cunning in music and - most important of all- life.
Respectfully,
Greatest conductor at present. So glad the BP decided to get rid of SR. The orchestra is finally fast reaching its full and extraordinary potential under the baton of this genius.
Maqnifique!! Every player !!
1:40 for my reference
Super Dirigent. Mag seinen Ausdruck.
what happened to the end of the piece? They were doing very well, and apparently gave up? Was it a musician's union thing?
I looked online to see if there was a CD of this performance available to purchase and I couldn't find it, unfortunately!!
Would it kill them to give us the entire movement? It is of course amazingly executed but if it were merely a few ticks slower it would actually be more exciting, for we would then be more inclined to focus on the music per se rather than on , "How can they they do this?"
Would it kill you to pay to hear it on their website? That's how the orchestra makes the money it pays the musicians you love so much. And that's how the musicians put food on the table and a roof over their heads.
my dear 1- th flutist play here!!!! 😘😘😘
Pahud
Nico Basconcel you're luky)
Petrenko is a genius.
Großartig
Petrenko channeling Lenny. And he's driving a Ferrari in the BPO.
Channeling Lenny.I don't think so my friend.Petrenko is on a different level.
Are the timpani head on this video made from calkskin? =)))
1:45
Set the play speed to 1.25 :)
01:46
here for homework
YOU ENDED IT EARLY!!!!!
The orchestra plays the notes sharply , accurately and with incredible clarity with an electrifying presence of a conductor in front. Hilarious indeed. But the tempo is a bit too fast. Much faster than Mozart might have thought of ?
'When providing his father, Leopold, with performance instructions for the "Presto", his advice was that this movement should be played "as fast as possible"...'
(See Wikipedia)
Your majesty,
Go and educate yourself before you post ...playing 'too fast' has been always the opinion of narrow minded, conservative ones, who are affraid from anything new ...
@@prager5046 you are such a jerk-off lol
Ow wow
Whos the first oboist?
Petrenko is a great man-----a great Jewish man. Germany has changed a lot, hasn't it.
It has!
Ohhhhhhh!
モーツァルト💕樫本さん💕ベルリンフィル💕🍀🌟❤️🌟🥰
The long lost Mozart Concerto for Tympani
Кирилл, Вау! Это хороший Моцарт. Брависсимо!
Petrenko x Mozart...Hmm...way good.
I hope Petrenko can visit Taiwan again.
Who is the principal oboist here?
Hes from Munich Opera
I think his name is Giorgi Gvantseladze
Thanks
Great performance, but too much timpani. For goodness sake, it's a rather small ensemble, requiring a lot less banging! I don't understand why conductors are not more aware of this kind of thing.
Not usual to find timpani on Mozart works.
not unusual too actually
Every symphony of Mozart hast timpany.
George Szell ist auferstanden
Grande máster Petrenko
Bourn out..
Warum so schnell???
because it is presto...
Podrá ser el director titular de Berlín pero es un farsante
It is tío fast , I can not enjoy the music
"It is tío fast , I can not enjoy the music"...who cares ...
1:06 lang lang spotted😹
No me gusta cómo gesticula este señor dirigiendo Mozart. Por educación prefiero no decir más.
Alles leblos runtergespielt...Zu schnell!
Zu schnell.
Very little charm, but ok.
That’s the worst Mozart interpretation I have ever heard. That’s Mozart on speed.....
No your majesty, you are just slow.... "When providing his father, Leopold, with performance instructions for the "Presto", his advice was that this movement should be played "as fast as possible".[23]" see Wikipedia" Haffner symphony
Very, very fast. I don't like this version. Sorry.
De acuerdo!!
Zu schnell. Schrecklich.
Too fast for my taste.
Willi Hansen I agree, maybe he is trying to be the Usain Bolt of music. Violins play fine but can't go together. Timpani is so loud that is disrupting. Poor Berliner! I prefer the Haitink video. Fast pace and timpani present, but also music and Mozart.
I agree
Tempo is perfect for my taste.
@@albertoservente9089 Alberto, it is time for you to enter the nursing home...you sound so old...
@@prager5046 thanks Prager504, I'm thinking about it. 😷🥴
The leader Daishin K has a very distracting habit of kicking his legs to the music. I've seen him perform in other concerts including chamber music and he does the same thing. Needs to literally kick the habit!
Breathless whipping with maximum noise... disappointing!! and not memorized, just whit score...
You can be 100% sure that any conductor of Petrenko's level has memorized the complete score before even the first rehearsal. Whether to use a score or not is a matter of taste that you can of course disagree with.
Ph W posted the identical comment on Petrenko's Tchaikovsky 6th video. Mindless troll, maybe?
Ph W
Drew Barnard of course the same Problem, this no interpretaton
Tom Hase this is standard repertoire, if he know it, for what he need the score? it's always better for music to conduct whitout score, like Rattle,Abbado,Karajan
1:50
viel zu schnell
