    one problem, my fiend can't connect to it, did i do something wrong with the port forwarding or did i give him the wrong IP address?

      Make sure you're not giving your friend your internal IP instead of your external IP. To find your external IP, go to this website and give your friend the number under where it says "your IPv4 address"
      Just double check that you port-forwarded correctly

      Make sure that you have the 64-bit version of Java installed. If you do, hopefully this article can help stackoverflow.com/questions/18040361/java-could-not-reserve-enough-space-for-object-heap-error

      8:03 Remember that the line of code on Minecraft's website is actually wrong. Go to your .bat file and click "edit." If you copied it correctly, it should say "java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.1.14.4.jar nogui". All you have to do is change "minecraft_server.1.14.4.jar” to “server.jar”. It should look like this:
      java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar server.jar nogui
      If you've already done that and it still doesn't work, right click on the .bat file and click "edit". On a new line, type "pause". It should look like this:
      java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar server.jar nogui
      Pause
      Then click save and run the file again. This time, instead of closing, it'll keep the window up and tell you what the problem is. Just research the problem or error code online and you should find a solution.

    what can i do if the application crashes?

    • @wotntarnation3012
      @wotntarnation3012  4 года назад

      What do you mean? You might not have enough ram.
      If you're talking about the .bat file crashing, Edit the start.bat file and on a new line type "pause". Then save it and run it again. instead of closing right away, it'll tell you why it's not running properly. Then, you can just type the error code into a google search and there'll be answers on how to fix it online

    i couldn't figure out how to open the .bat file. i tried troubleshooting with the "pause" thing but all it said was "unable to open". My server name is "server (6)" i assumed that it meant that i had downloaded 6 but i deleted them all. i tried sooo many different names but all of them do not work please help.
    (i already subbed and liked. because other than that piece its a great vid tutorial.)

      I have no clue. If you were you, I would just delete everything and restart from the beginning. If you port-forwarded, you don't have to do that again, so just delete the Minecraft server files and start over.

    how to make 24/7

    • @wotntarnation3012
      @wotntarnation3012  3 года назад

      The only way to do that is to either leave your computer running all night long or rent a server. If you really need something like that, it's worth investing in a server. Some are literally 1$ a month to rent

    yo how do you install mods on these

    • @wotntarnation3012
      @wotntarnation3012  3 года назад

      There's a server installation on the Minecraft Forge website. However, if you use this, every player in your game has to be playing on Minecraft Forge AND has to have all of the same mods installed as you do. Because of this, I use crafbukkit. Instead of mods, this lets you use plugins. Plugins are kind of like small mods. You can add small stuff like sethomes, single player sleeping, treecapitator, moderator tools, etc. The best part is that only YOU have to install the plugins, and the players joining your server don't have to download anything and can play on the vanilla launcher. I would recommend, looking at the list of plugins (just google "crafbukkit plugins"), and if this works for you, then use crafbukkit. But if you want to use bigger mods, then use Minecraft Forge
