You've inspired me to start drawing for the first time in my life. It's something I've always wanted to do and now I'm doing it every night and having a really enjoyable time. Also, I have made many chairs as I'm a woodworker, I think you'll have a blast.
Kodiak MD i also got so inspired lately to draw again because of peter but i dont want to copy his artstyle and my new sketchbook is intimidating to start.

Hey Peter...Peter listen...I think you should know that some of my favorite pieces you have ever done are the ones you've done with watercolor and ink. okay bye...i love you.
HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! 🥳 My days are always a little bit better when Peter Draws uploads a video. :) Aaaaahhhh, such a pretty pen. On the list it goes. Yeah, National Geographic is just another magazine. Yup, I love, love, love watercolor. It's got a mind of its own. I love charging in different colors while the paper is wet and watch the colors move and commingle. I just did a workshop where we poured the colors right on the paper, with parts of the drawing protected by a mask. The blues next to the reds made gorgeous purples, yellows with red to fiery orange, etc all in soft transitions. The colors helped describe morning sunlight, cast across a snow covered forest floor. I learned a lot of techniques including lifting to soften lines caused by masking. My painting is turning out great. Watercolor is amazingly versatile. My favorite has been learning from Anna Mason, painting very realistic images but there's so many styles that are awesome to do in watercolor. I really just love it.
Please do more watercolors! I’m just getting into them myself and it’s really a beautiful process that I’m sure you’d have a lot of valuable things to contribute about. Especially as you learn it yourself it could be so valuable to watch your progress for people who want to start using them. Watercolor is a lot more accessible than many other paint types.
It is, water colour is actually more difficult to master than oil paint. Most people think the oppersit to that but to make a watercolour painting the same level as an oil painting is way harder because you can't really correct mistakes like with oil paint where's you can endlessly change and tweak untill it's perfectly how you want it, that's why I'm mainly a oil painter.
I would have to say, that you're my fav artist right up there with Bob Ross... I love the soothing voice, a bit of camp/humor, the beautiful art, and also the little extras thrown in from time to time! I think if there was a Peter Draws channel on cable TV, I would have it on 24/7! I watch your videos to calm down, get into a "Zen space" and am so happy that you post on here and will always follow you! (Michael Jackson "I always feel like, somebody's watching me" song popped into my head LOL!) I'm happy to have found your channel either way, and I thank you form the bottom of my art heart that you have this channel and are willing to share with us! 👍🌟😁 Chair issue: wood carving or wood-burning your own design into the back? That would be awesome ✨😊👏
I’ve been watching a ton of your videos the last few days and have really been enjoying them I’ve became super inspired to draw and learn more about art thanks to you keep up the amazing work
Nice song Peter. :) Good to see you working with watercolors again. You made my day with this video. So you have a good time too. And I wish you luck in the next semestr in the school.
I love watercolor. The forgiving nature of it. The lack of precision necessary to make something soft and pretty. I love it most. It really looks lovely with your own art. 💗
hey Peter, i finally broke down and bought a Rotring Isograph because of you and...oh boy... is it ever wonderful. you're a massive inspiration to me, like so much that i really should write you a letter of thanks. i'm surrounded by my art projects right now and i wouldn't be had i never found your channel. thank you, man. also your intro songs are completely adorable, and fingernails and rhino horns are made of keratin.
Peter... You make me happy. My daughter is an artist and she showed me your page a few years ago. Recently I was beat up by my "now ex-boyfriend".. had to move out our home Then my car and I got stuck in the mud in the middle of nowhere and had to spend the entire night out there with no phone service I'm currently still homeless sleeping in one of the vacant apartments at the Condominiums that I work at "I'm the housekeeper here." I could go on but what I'd like to express is that your videos give me serenity. I'm very high-strung and have a hard time being calm or just feeling relaxed and when I listen or watch your videos... I just ....I'm there in that relaxed state, in that neutral good feeling State of Mind. and I don't think about so much of what happened to me in the past weeks.. I just continue to be present in the now and feel joyous. So Peter! thank you, thank you ,thank you I love you sooooo much😊😊😊😊😊😊💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 xoxoxoxoxo! Yours Truly, Sarah.

I'm not sure if any of the 106 prior comments mention this, nor am I sure that it matters, but I thought I'd mention that when the piston on the pen is unscrewed, the piston is *down.* You screw the end-cap back in in order to fill the pen. But maybe you knew that. I don't know. I recently discovered your channel and I thoroughly enjoy your videos!
Marc Vandersluys I came here to say this. This pen will hold 2-3 ml of ink. Unscrew the piston, put it in the ink, and then screw it back in to draw up the ink. It’s called a “piston-filler” mechanism. Also, the ink mostly draws up through the breather hole on the bottom side of the pen between the feed and grip section.
