In a world full of loud, intense, face paced photo/video RUclips channels, it is so refreshing to have videos that are so chill and easy to watch like yours. Thanks Joe, keep Killin it.
the style of each video is ABSOLUTELY what youtube should be about... chock full of creativity and minimal talking- inspires me every single time. your mind is art
I just got into film photography, found a old sears tls camera in a thrift store and dove head first into film photography. i also just came across your channel and you have been a massive inspiration and make me want to get out there and shoot every day. Shot my first roll of film a couple days ago and cant wait to see the results, i am so excited. Never thought i would love film photography as much as i do. Anyways thanks for the constant inspiration! Keep shooting!
I can't believe you just mentioned Tremors haha. That was my favorite movie growing up, I idolized Kevin Bacon. Graboids gonna' get ya out in the desert. Beautiful photos and great video. Makes me miss California.
Joe, what's up? Since you're using an old camera, how do you edit the photos? Are you using VSCO or something like that? I hope you'll reply. Thank you!
Joe digging the content it is wicked sick man. If you are filming on your iPhone you should look into the Rode Video mic-L its a shotgun mic and it is really small and kicks the audio game up a lot. Also dope shirt man
I'm approximately 6 minutes and 1 second in and I needed to say something. I feel like a lot of these photographs aren't good at all. And I am not trying to be an angry commenter or hurt someone's feelings. But I'm specifically paused on a photo of a car on a street under a cover on 120 film. And I am unimpressed by it, as well as a lot of the other ones. Is it the format that I'm watching it on (computer monitor)? Is it my lack of artistry, not recognizing shadows and framing and a good shot when I see one? I'm a fan of Joe's work and enjoy his videos/perspective. But some of these more spontaneous-looking shots don't seem like they captured anything. I have seen a handful that blew me away, and I'll continue watching because I know I'll be seeing a few more amazing ones. Hopefully someone can share their thought/perspective, I really am not trying to be rude, just honest.
IAMTHEONLYIRISHMAN you heretic! Join the club. These shots will have some meaning to someone who lives in a grey cold dismal climate. From my Australian perspective dazzling light is no stranger. eg today will be 42C. This common on RUclips type of photography is the expression of vacant internal lives. Paul Joseph Watson commentates on this well. Shooting nothing on film does not make it “artier” than shooting nothing on digital.
Jack Tatham my first camera is a Canon A1 that i just got this month. And as far as I know getting it developed and scanned at a lab is the best move tho kinda pricey
Not sure what song it is. One way is to shazam/sound hound it. He gets most of his music from that RUclips copyright free music service. There's a link to the service in the description of his previous video.
I like that he mentioned the Tremors with Kevin Bacon, cuz there are like 9 now lol. Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite) joined the latest one! lol random thought. Carry on with the awesome footage.
Too much heat to consume in one video wow
First off it's incredibly quiet, so hopefully you guys can hear me fine

Joe, you gotta release a coffee table book of your work. I’d snatch that right up.
I enjoy your content so much, thanks for putting in the time to share.
Mid-day is easily my favourite time of day to shoot film, glad to see you pushing it with this one
The shot of the old man with the seagull - what a dope picture
5:23 it would be awesome if you made a video on how to capture motion/ high shutter speed photos on film! 🙏🏼
7:33 is my favorite photo in this video
Tremors was in Lone Pine, CA which is at the base of the sierras. You definitely need to check that place out if you love JT.

I've been exposed to like 40 minutes of hot bros shooting Mamiya 7's today. It's a good day.
I enjoy these imperfect videos. It's ok to struggle some and it's ok to show it. It's good work and it's real life and it shows.
I ever visited Joshua Tree park, and took some rolls over there. They look very beautiful in the sunset light.
Lovely video. Nice and chill no reviews no gear just great music and great photos. ☺
some really lush, tranquil pictures - nice!
I absolutely love the layout of the photo essay (and also everything else you create)! Glad I subscribed.

Joshua Tree is so awesome! Going back there in February and cannot wait! Beautiful photographs!
Thank you for sharing this. Your music taste in your videos is astounding
Another great video Joe. I appreciate you talking about shooting at mid day, cause it really is lost time for shooting for most people. Cheers

Hey, do you post process the images or are these shots pure raw out of the camera?
@Bobby Brady thank you for explaining 😄
Where did you learn film and photography? Did you teach yourself? Any books you'd recommend? You make it look so effortless. Props my man.
My neck of the woods. Awesome video dude.
Your videos are like SPA for the mind!
Joe, what's up? Since you're using an old camera, how do you edit the photos? Are you using VSCO or something like that? I hope you'll reply. Thank you!

Wow. Just wow.
Tremors was the scariest movie for me as a kid as well haha I would walk on the furniture out of fear of walking on the ground lmao
Are you still working on that night street photography vid? Looking forward to it!
Can't wait for your latest "heat" on Fohrlabs platform, i'm really digging it. But man Joshua Tree is something else.
This video is a blessing ❤️
Love the reference to TREMORS haha
I think some slide film would be fantastic for this place!
When you send your film to be processed are they also dodging and burning too or is it just the normal development.
you should make a video about you style and clothes, maybe inspirations, etc. (idk loving all the vids)
Droning, time changing beats....the sound of film photography for the RUclips generation.
Name of song? Its super relaxing.
shazam?
Beautiful pics man, 6:19 got me !
Amazing video, killing it!!!!!
Joe what should my first film camera be and how should I convert the film to digital?
Jack Tatham my first camera is a Canon A1 that i just got this month. And as far as I know getting it developed and scanned at a lab is the best move tho kinda pricey
