joe casually has 2 M6's hanging from his neck and im over here deciding if I should buy a roll of portra 800
haha too real
Portra 800 is the way to go!
Over here, it always comes in a box of 5
Lmfaoo
I like this comment, it made me laugh, more than it should have
The way Joe talks reminds me so much of Brae Hunziker's "shit film photographers say" 😂 But the pictures and the whole scenery are so incredibly beautiful. 😍
omg yes lol
the accuracy lmao
Yes.
when joe talks about his composition, i get the feeling the we're about to kiss
bro?
@@AngelMorales-kl2vi what
ong
Yeah, lots of oohing and ahhing.
“Oh yeah, this going to be see so good”
Joe: “Wanna walk down to this barn real quick with me in the freezing cold”
Camera guy: ~doesn’t move~
"Tetons" means "nipples" in French but go ahead I'm listening.
j'allais le dire it's weird mdr
takes two steps: OH, LOOK at this!
I was genuinely laughing at how into it Joe was getting, much respect
Bro you're the Rob Ross of photography - this is so meditative to watch
in french teton means nipple
just taught about it and now i'm perplex
Ne t'inquiète pas je suis dans la même situation 😂
@eibol27 Bonne continuation dans ton apprentissage ! Salut de Belgique
In spanish it means fat big tits guy
I was looking for a comment like this 😂 I was surprised by the word in big on the thumbnail lol
Never got these kind of colours from Portra. Are you editing colours?
almost certainly, slight touch ups and color correction lol
English people: this video is awesome!
French people: hehe... tetons..
Dude, this makes me wanna go outside and shoot something immediately 🧡
Yup!
Get yourself somebody That whispers to you the way joe whispers about his shots
These photos are absolutely stunning. The quiet nature of this video is such a nice change from a lot of content out there. As a viewer, you can really feel the silence and beauty of that cold morning. Thanks for this! Beautiful work.
Such a vibe brother
❤️🎞 love you jack
Man , that is some serious casual drip you've got. 2 Leica's and a Mamiya 7.
You could make the same things with 2 Bessa R2A‘s and Voigtländer 35/1.4 ... (my street set up) just to save some money.
@@MichaelZieschang haha nice , love the Voigtländer 35/1.4
9:31 not sure you have enough cameras with you...
Just kidding. I'm the same ;)
iPhone: "I have three cameras"
Joe: "Hold my camera bag"
Goddamn that was painful to watch.
Joe - *Stares into complete emptiness*
Also Joe - 14:50
Ok i'm a bit late but i wanted to drop this: Joe congrats on the workshop, i really love your work so much and i wish i could aford it. BUT... the camera work in this video is absolutely horrible. So much random camera shake and zooms, why? and frankly, i understand the conditions that morning were rough and stuff but it looked very bad to be honest. 🤷🏻♀️
Are you pushing the rolls a stop, there was not a lot of light in the first few, absolutely loved the video man keep up the great work!
I doubt it, if anything he's probably over exposing the film. You're usually able to shoot range finders at a low shutter speed without noticeable blur and since the subjects are still he might just be doing that. Also these lenses are still hella sharp even if near wide open so he probably doesn't have to shoot everything at f/8
@@luchinooliveros2469 That's awesome to know man
How calming this video was, was incredible. I felt so relaxed and I love love love your videos. Thank you.
oh fuck joe uploaded
only ioe can wear sunglasses before sunrise. such a vibe.
Well done images. But the colors in the video looked much different from the images. Did you edited them like you saw them with your orange glasses? ;)
Sooooo good!! I love how Joe sees something and then on the way stops 10 times to take photos!
Anyone knows what kind of aperture and shutter speed Joe might be shooting at, to get that kind of clarity and nailed exposure at this kind of lighting environment? Technique of course is key!
im new to this channel, youre video has a unique filmic look to it, may i know what gear youre using, and how you manage to edit it to this look?
Yoo i used to live in wyoming and i went to the tetons last summer its so beutiful
Amazing pictures! Casually walking around with 3 cameras around you haha, and also took out your Phone at one point to take a photo 😂 are the leicas both m6?
10:58 gave me the creeps. I've seen too many horror movies. Great video as always Joe, your compositions are perfect.
Ur kinda giving off Bob Ross vibes Joe 🤣with your settle teaching & observations. Very dope video, thank you
my god do more videos like this such a great vibe that i can feel the winter just by watching this! wonder if one day joe greer will be a director of photographhy in a movie
when the guy who got you really into photography and the company you watched blossom do a collab you have NO CHOICE but to support and buy
Joe Greers stoke level for good lighting and scenes reminds me I’m not alone 💯
you'd be hard pushed to take a bad photo in that landscape
This guy has all the photographer swag
I appreciate a lot Mr.Greer as street photographer, very nice book by the way, but as landscape photographer I think he needs consistency.
Where can i get these glasses?
6:59 is a Portraloo
This location was sooo good!
Yo I love your glasses/sunglasses! Where they from? haha
I like the way the b-roll is shot. What camera was used to shoot the video ? Thanks.

What kind of watch is that ?? lol
So incredibly beautiful. You have such a talent.
More dynamic range on 120 film compared to 35? :D
finally. big fan
Tetons in french means "nipples". That's all.
Love your video ;)
2 Leicas & Mamiya 7 .... you didn’t have to flex that hard Joe
RUclips needs more videos like this from you and your team. This was fun to watch :)
Always adore your videos, might even bite the bullet and buy the course! Money, moneyyy.
Wow. This is gorgeous. What were these barns cabins? Were they some of the lodges in the park itself or a private rental?
I really enjoyed this video. Beautiful work in a beautiful setting. Thanks for the inspirations and tips. Not to be negative (this was a great video) but the handheld shooting of you gave me a headache.
What is the font on your opening frame "Photographic Storytelling"?
Nice seeing you appreciate the space and take advantage of the light. Can’t wait to be traveling and making videos like this soon

It’s at 666 likes when I commented this. Devilishly good?😉
That freaking camera shake and the composition of the video.. Too bad
the shot at 16:23 is *chefs kiss*. So is every picture but that one specifically.
Just happened upon this video hours before I'm shooting sunrise at the pink house! I'm extra pumped now. Thanks for the fire content as always, Joe. Your love for your film photography is contagious.
Honestly love that you're wearing a Cincinnati Bengals hat!!!! LETSS GOOOOO
I got an ad for this on IG last night I think before it was properly announced and you know I copped that immediately. You're a huge inspiration. Excited to dig in
Joe, great video, a question on film... Are you pushing that Portra 1 stop? Looks a little saturated for 400.... could be wrong.
I’m guessing no pulling or pushing and just editing to be that way. They’re definitely not as saturated as you can see from the video that it was pretty muted colors.
Bro this is SO HEAVY. keep it up 👍🏽
12:07 wishing those birds would fly faster so they could be in frame lol, would've been perfect.
that lean makes every photo come out 10x better
Beautiful shots, when you post the photos on the videos were these photos touched up or as is from the scan.
I remember watching your iPhone course on Skillshare back in the day. Really enjoying this moment course- congrats Joe
❤🔥🔥🔥
i enjoyed watching this, especially the lack of music. Allowed me to listen to my own tunes while watching :)
I can't tell how much joy I have watching this video, thank you !
On the next season of Yellowstone..
lmaooo i wish
Haha, I just ordered exactly the same jacket before watching this video. Now you're an inspiration when it comes to photography and fashion haha!

Too real
To be really honest I love the color tone of the video more ...
Saving This Video for the TV later tonight. Thanks Joe.
Coolest youtuber I know fr
Listening to Joe get excited about the photos he is taking is worth the cost of the course within itself!
Really enjoy your work Joe, props from Portugal 👌
God's creation is magnificent isn't it.
Absolutely brilliant. You’re a freak of nature man
Missed you so much, Joe! One of the most inspirational 👏🏻❤️
What is the medium format camera you got there ?
The level of how you express your appreciation for a comp is such a gem!loved it 😎👌🏾
Stunning Location i could spend a week just framing 😳
Do you teach how to lean back while shooting?
Love your work so much! Big inspiration for me
man, you're in your element for this one.
Today I found gold right here.
I love seeing the process and hearing the mindset behind the experience. Great job!
Jackson Hole is a beautiful pocket in nature
that's funny because I'm French
At 11:40 when Joe metres for the mountains quickly to just see where he’s at? What would that mean.. I don’t get it (I’m bad with metering aha) guessing he points camera there and it shows either under/over but then what does he take from that? EXCITED to watch the whole thing this weekend joe!!
I think he wanted to check how much stops of difference in light there would be between his wife and the mountains. Possibly adapting if the difference is to big.
@@Jakob8 right you are!
The leaning doesn't do anything //noted
Yeah man!
The colour grading in these photos is just *chef's kiss*
Looks more like Ektachrome colors.
Did you get rid of your Rz67?
