Errors and Edits:
1. I wasn't very clear about my Materia suggestions at the beginning, and that list on screen is kind of a cluster fuck, so here is a more streamlined rundown. If I forgot anything I will add it as soon as I remember. Bear in mind this is just my personal opinion, not saying if you ignore it you'll be screwed but leveling up Materia is so easy there's really no reason not to do it. Also, some of these may come maxed when you first get them, I cant remember which ones do though so I just listed all of them. Again if you need to level these check out the video I linked from Gaming with Abyss, you can max out lots of Materia very quickly this way.

2. Make sure you have everyone's abilities unlocked before you start Hard Mode, it makes things easier. If you have an ability for Cloud, Tifa, or Barret you need to learn go to Chapter 16 on Easy and equip the character whose ability you want with ATB Boost, Skill Master, and First Strike. Then just run through the first part of the level and spam the ability until you've learned it. If you need an ability for Aerith follow the same procedure except go to the beginning of Chapter 9 and farm the first couple of mobs in the tunnels.

​@@VHCostaidk if this best way but ch 17 combat sim doing the two v high flyers use elemental material + magnify and do first battle then quit and repeat it's pretty fast

This game has a stupid hard mode because in every other game using items is the most important thing when dealing with hard mode and in this game u can't when no one even uses items in easy mode anyways because in easy u don't need items anyway so it's bs
