even though you don't want to be a balanced Cloud, the Twin Stinger is still a very good option especially in Hard Mode (especially if you decide to use Cloud as a healer in sections that you don't have Aerith in the party) as...
1) it's Elemental boost upgrade adds an additional 10% damage to your attacks when the Elemental Materia is linked with a Ice, Fire, Lightning or Wind Materia on the weapon (making it +33% damage)
2) Reduces the damage from both Physical and Magical attacks when Guarding (blocking) if you buy the upgrades
3) has upgrades that increase Clouds MP (having as Much MP as possible is a good thing as the benches only restore your HP in Hard Mode)
4) It has an upgrade that reduces the MP cost of Healing Spells (something the Mythril Sabre doesn't have)
5) (and probably one of the most, if not the most, important aspects) It has the highest Materia Growth Rate (increases the amount of AP the equipped Materia gains from killing enemies) of any of Clouds Weapons
Also to answer an issue you had in the Normal Walkthrough, the Synergy Materia works as such...
1) you Equip it linked with either a Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind or Poison Materia on Say either Barret, tifa or Aerith
2) You attack an Enemy with (and controlling/staying in control of) Cloud (say Braver)
3) The Character with the Synergy Materia equipped will then follow up with a spell from one of those Materia's (could be Fire or it could be Firaga
This game’s dialogue especially on hard mode is so funny😂 thank you for the guide I been stuck on this thing for hours
This is my favorite game and I’ve beaten it on normal 16 times but I tried hard and died from the DOG and was like yeah nope ahhaha
Oh, Lassor. At 8:53, you accidentally got the Magic Attack Power, not the Attack Power.
At 10:37, "We are ready to smash!" means something else entirely, Lassor...
At 26:43, I REALLY wanted Cloud to remind Barret that he grew up with TIfa. That would have shut him up.
Planning on getting this game soon its awesome to no there is someone to follow for all trophies :)
Certainly used magic a lot. I relied on Pray most of the time

I may be mistaken but I believe you still want to break crates. I believe the moogle medals and mako shards are still useful in hard mode.
Only way to get mp back is by mako shards in hard mode. Resting at a bench only restores HP now
@@gloominaati3105 on some of the titles in this series there was an ability called MP Stroll. I wonder if there might be an equivalent in this game.
@@christopherharrison7931 you have mp absorbtion materia and some skills and such for mp recovery. No mp stroll that im aware of. Either way its just about mp conservation. Hard mode is much better imo

Your Cloud is WAY stronger than mine was. I was lv 48 when I started hard mode but I wasnt 1 shotting officers at that point.
I don't have Barretts EKG gun. Ughh I thought I got everything on the normal walkthrough
It's 2024, rebirth just released and I'm replaying remake on ng+ hard mode before i jump into rebirth. I will use this guide, however i missed some stuff on my first playthrough. Since you skipped all the chests i dont know where to get what im missing, ill have to find another way to figure that out. Do i need all the chests/gear for the 100%? I know the video is old and im not expecting a reply from anyone but if someone sees this can you let me know 😅
I started off at level 34 and all I gotta say is hard mode is hard

I actually tried playing hard mode on new game and not new game plus and I didn’t realize your supposed to do it with new game plus lol. I soft locked my game at the first boss because I literally got so close to killing him but he kept healing and I couldn’t deal enough damages fast enough to kill so I was literally just stuck.
I know your comment is old but I'm confused. You can't play hard difficulty without beating the game on normal first. Then it unlocks chapter select and allows you to select hard mode which is ng+. Am I not understanding correctly? 😅
@@AQuestCalledMusic well what I mean is I beat the game, started a new game and hard mode was an option so I decided to try it and it completely reset all my equipment and characters and I couldn’t beat the first boss. He kept healing more then I could do damage.
No items on hard mode? That's my kind of game!!! Too bad I don't have the game... Oh well, let's see what you got.

Have you opened all treasure chests in Normal at least?
How does the difficult difficulty turn out?
Its only hard if you aren't strategic, if you grind out normal mode and get to Lv 50 & getting useful materia, hard mode is going to be a cake walk

I'm really late, but the game cap you at level 50.
What do those icons in the top right of the chapter select mean? 1:49
The first is the music discs found in the level, and the other is the manuscripts that you gain by defeating bosses or side-quest bosses (gives you SP for your weapons)

Really would've been nice if you had played through the second time In Japanese. Sad, maybe next time if you do 2 playthroughs of a japanese game you'll remember to play with the original voices
I think it would be a very select audience that would be interested in hearing the whole game in Japanese, unless of course they speak the language.
@@AllTheShinies I'm pretty sure there are a decent amount of people that would want to hear a Japanese game in Japanese lol. But if you're just handling it from a "This is what would get the most views approach" from the general audience Then it becomes understandable. Just thought it would've been neat to have 2 different voiced playthroughs on your channel. Plus there are a few little interesting things about the original voices that they slipped in. Oh well whatever, Hopefully with your next Japanese title you can consider it or do a poll with your audience
