Just thought you should know it does work with the ecodiesel. The reason they state that it doesn’t is because ready lift hasn’t put on in an ecodiesel them selfs
Great vid thanks on here you just pry the front strut back in place where as the kit instructions say remove the axle nut which I really don’t want to do, how hard was it to pry the strut in place with the extra height on the strut? Love the vid tho glad you guys did one
I just installed a 2 1/2 lift on the front of my 2017 Ram 1500 4x4 to level it out and I’m considering beefing up suspension. Maybe upgrading the control arms, and new shocks on the rear. I like the ride height, and have 305/55r20 Nitto on fuel rims with. 1 in offset. No issues with rubbing tires, and it drives straight.
On Bilsteins website it says the Bilstein B8 5100 is for lifted applications of only 0-1” in the rear but your installing a 2” spacer under the rear coils?
So instead of using your factory shock in front and want to upgrade your front shocks do you suggest using an OEM ride height shock or one that is meant for the extend length.
So I have a question. Can you still use the shocks if you don’t put in the rear part of the lift? I like how the truck looks without the back block in.
I see alot of mixed things saying you need to grind the bottom of the strutt and the lower control arm for clearance reasons, i have the 69-1040 kit installing it this week, anyone have answers?
@@kennydaleangulo3842 i got the answer today only. Those 4inch struts didnt fit with this kit. Due to ready lift preload spacer on oem struts lift of this setup is less than the actual 4inch lifted struts so they wont fit.
Cant i just buy the sway bar relocation bracket? And just install a 4 inch lift front struts, instead of the spacers that go on top of the struts?? I feel like it will give it a better right quality.
@@coltendixon2416 did a little more research and alot of ram forums say, they kept on replacing cv axles because of angle they are at when putting this “lift” on. The best way to go is 3 inch, any higher then that you will need to do a diff drop.
@@israelgarcia3455hi did you installed bigger strut with this 4inch Ready lift SST kit? If yes what struts you used. I am planning to buy 4inch struts to replace spacers and want to confirm whether they work with this kit
@@arshdeepsingh6681 its been two years with a similar lift. I have bilstein B8 5160 with remote reservoir shocks in the rear, and Bilstein 6112 set to 2.8 liftat the front. I also installed a 2 inch body lift to fit 37” tires. I also bought other aftermarket parts to go with this type of lift and honestly I recommend just installing a lift the right way from the start and dont try and take short cuts…anything over 3 inches is best to do a diff drop. next year im installing a 6 inch lift the right way. I haven’t broken any cv axles like other people have claimed BUT the way they sit at an angle they start damaging the intermediate shaft splines .
4 inches is right on the edge for causing driveline vibration front and rear and wearing out your front cv joints (on 4x4 models) quick if you flex them a lot off roading. the fix is a lot more money than this kit costs. 2 or 3 inches is max imho on the 4x4's before you get into all the rest of issues. It's doable, just a lot more items to replace if you want long term.
@@vonnieboy7878 I have a Ram 1500 Sport I am looking to lift as of right now. Been a Jeep man all my life been through 4 of them and all the issues. This is my 3rd Ram truck as well. I put a 2 inch leveling kit in my 2012 ram in about 2014, was good at first, but soon ruined the struts from so much side stress on them and then the cv axles from too much angle. Had to go back to stock. Anybody know how this is avoided?

@Steven Skoczen I used a bilstein 5100 raised all the way with the 1.5 spacer on top and their upper control arm. No issue, no rubbing. It's been over 6 months and I love how it sits and rides.
@@kened6139 I was thinking of doing the same but I was wondering about the sway bar links. Did you do anything to them and how does it drive. Some lift kits bring extensions for links.
Is there any sag in the rear after doing this? I have a 2012 Ram 1500 with a leveling kit. As soon as I put around 200lbs in the bed it sags noticeably. If I didn't have the level kit it wouldn't be an issue so I'm nervous about doing a lift kit since that will level it out.
