Your in-depth reviews are really valueable and entertaining. Although I am not in for a new skate. Also cheers to that new Studio setting, looks fantastic!
I just got a pair of Sway 57s a month ago. The forward flex is eliminated the plastic goes up higher into the cuff. I do find the cuff is stiff but my liner still needs to break in only have a handful of hours on it. It fit amazing I have MP 26.0 and the US M 8-9 fits so good no smashing of toes or heel lift. I installed the 45 degree strap but I picked too short a size but it works lol. I find it helps just push my foot down more with the padded tongue so it feels more locked in but it wasn't a huge difference. I'd definitely spend more on one of the many Pro models you get a better liner and the Gen 2 soulplates which I also installed it just looks so much better with the Gen 2 no question. For the money they are hard to beat but I do want to try other wide models in the future like the 909, Fifth Element and SL. ✌️

Those stock liners suck d*ck. But I digress. Love rolling and the community.and it seems pretty strong right now. I feel like I got back in at a good time
I'm quite fond of the Sway boot. My first skate when I came back to blading was a Farmer 1 and more recently I've been on the black and white Sway 57 with the new soul popped on and some Fatboy liners. I've tried them with some Compass 80mm frames and it also makes a canny free skate that has soul plates for cheeky grinds. That must be the Powerslide Zoom DNA showing through. Recently moved on to some Henderson SL but I keep the Sway set up flat 56 in case I fancy it. Great video as always Big Man. Edit - I use long hockey laces and do the round the cuff thing which has helped to reduce the forward flex.
Hi ! Could you tell me between the Sway and the SL which boot has the largest width in the toe area? I don't want to keep my fingers tight in boots with a narrow toe. All the best! :)
Solid review. Props for keeping the 45 strap on even though you don't need it. I don't think I need mine (Blanks) but I cannot stand the look of Blanks with the 45 strap off. I quite like the look of 45 straps on skates. My buddy has blacked out 909s with a 45 strap and they look really slick. Also...really good skating, Dave. Jealous of your back savs.
I just bought the Sway 58. Haven’t skated in 23 years. After three days I’m hitting most grinds and pulling some medium tricks in a bowl/spine ramp. These are better than anything I skated back in 99.
I like your reviews because I have wide feet as well. I ordered the Rollerblade Pro X skate after watching your review and I'm super happy with how they fit. I haven't tried the Sways yet because I'm between shell sizes and I'd have to size up so I'm using Razors SL but I'm probably going to try the Sways at some point when I visit a shop that carries them. Your footage is crisp as well.
On the 45 degree strap, the greatest use of it, that I tuck the laces under it. It does some heel lock effect, so I keep them on (aeons though, not sways)
I also have the Farmer 2 Sways. They are a solid skate, the soul plate is brilliant. I got used to the forward flex fast and don't see it as an issue at all. I did have an issue with the liner lifting with my heel out of the shell but I stopped lacing the liners up and this is no longer a problem. The crown liner makes this the most comfy skate I've ever had, I am on the smaller size of the shell so the high volume liner is perfect. I'm concerned that if I had to change the liner for a lower volume, they wouldn't fit as well anymore.
Looking good man! Love the shirt too, I have some pants from Stay Rolling and they have been amazing also My Diridari’s turned up today, really looking forward to seeing how they go. Keep the content coming mate.
Nice review! BTW I suggest you to move plastic buckle "one hole" to inside and that will solve your buckle breaking issue. It's just sticking too much at back end

I only have two pairs! I get skate guilt! If I have more than two pairs I feel bad for no skating them, so I either give them away or sell the others. I’m intrigued to know what colour Michael is going to go for, it’s meant to be pretty bold.
@@wheelsceneblading I have like some 3x90 and 3x125 urban skates also and then my aggressive setups i should give some of my pairs away tho that’s a good idea
I always got some weird presure points with the sways, I tried both generations. Maybe an intuition would help, dunno. I have a 2nd skin liner heading my way I will try with that. I noticed another benefit of the sways though: the thumping sound it makes when you land. So statisfying.
It’s definitely stiff at first but I would say it breaks in well. Also, there is something to say for the extra support making you bend your knees more and get properly on the soul plate / backslide groove
@@wheelsceneblading No worries, mate. They sit in a box behind me with all the other crap I buy and don't use. Some Sway Farmers lived there too, but I just didn't skate them often enough. A few jaunts to Loading Bay was as good as it got for them.
It has a decent soul plate but as ya said could use a better connection but idk I personally found they skated super poorly from the forward flex which coupled with their width and the cuffs they just felt super sloppy. Not for me.
They’re not as responsive as the Them 909 but the sloppiest skate I have used in the past five years is definitely the RB Blank. It just felt really sluggish and every trick felt strange. The Sway soul plate is also very long lasting
Great review. I've been considering getting these and trying to downsize to the US 8-9 shell with Intuition or 2nd Skin liners. I have a 278mm Mondopoint and I think I could do it. A question though. Do you use an insole inside your Intuition liners? I know some people skate Intuitions without insoles but I much prefer one. Thanks.
I have the Zoom 80 skate which is the same boot but with a ratchet buckle where the 45 degree strap is. The ratchet buckle really locks the foot down. I just have some elastic laces on it because i dont need to lace it. I dont skate much grinding much anymore at 40 years old. But I have some 68mm wheels on the skate to get a lower and more control. Is the ratchet buckle able to be put on the sway. It pulls the entire skate down solid around the foot and locks the heel in place.
Yeah I'm holding out for the standard though I can't see it being that different from any other hardboot out, there's not a lot of difference between them now. I almost bit the bullet on the faction tactical "chynnas" though. I love my mesmers though, I loved the throne back in the day too.

It started to cause real pain and bruising where it would dig in when doing topsides or even just getting boot down. I still have a pair, but exclusively for 3x125. The ones I had were older models so I'm curious if the cuff material changed. Would you consider yours stiff?
