Spot on assessment, i absolutely love Aeons for everything apart from rails! You really have to groove the hell out of them. For ledges which are my go to obstacle they are perfect. On rails i’d always slide out of the grooves and it was terrifying and i had my fair share of bails. This is why i’ve bought the Farmer Sways so i can go back to the fluid 4 frames and that deep groove. On my Gawds with fluid 4’s i had tons of confidence on rails, all i had to do was jump on and i was instantly locked in, just a shame the Gawds get kinda floppy.
@@Noah-es7tw i guess everyones different in what they feel comfortable with. I dont feel like i can really squat down that much into an H block trick on aeons as i can on a fluid 4
I have a buddy who uses the Aeons on a anti-rockered setup while I was flat setup eversince and I can't get the logic of why he does that. Now I get it why! And seems like this setup works for him. Rolling on 2 wheels/skate just doesnt work for me. It's hard to turn and felt like the frame will snap in the middle if I dont get that support near the hblock. Thanks for making this video Sir Ben! 🙏
Great assessment Ben. I’ve been skating antis on my Aeons for almost a year now & it feels so natural. I’ve never really had any frames with a deeper H block area though. After hearing your thoughts on it, I think I’m going to sand Hblocks down a little deeper & see how they feel on round rails.
Im new in aggressive inline. Bought sway team 60 and thinking about wheelbite. Can you guys give me some advice if im gonna stick with this flat setup or change to anti? Again im new at this. Thanks
Was wondering how Aeons rode antirocker mostly cuz I was kinda digging the whole 4 replacement wheels thing 😂. Think I'll still to flat personally. But do you(or anyone who sees this lol) have an opinion on UC team blanks(60mm) vs Dead 88/92a(58mm) for my first set of replacement wheels on my Aeons? Mostly into gaps/transition if that's useful info
Interesting what you said about the shallow groove. I'd never really considered that but i have a lot of trouble locking in the groove, kinda feels like i'm just fluking it every time. I thought it was a technique issue, but i'll have to try a frame with a deeper groove
Perhaps take your aeons to a cement corner block and grind in a nice sharp groove yourself to see if that changes anything and have you tried the soul plates mod on the aeon to see if that changes the skates feel much?
Yeah I love my Aeons but they just didn’t work anti rocker for me. Haha The bullet profile wheels are definitely a must but I highly recommend you getting the Sliqx and doing a video on that! They really helped me and that would be your ultimate test. Haha
I skate a pair of aggressive rollerblade brand roller blades from the 90s. I stopped using them about 20 years ago and just started skating with them again
Did they feel stupidly light? If you try it again I’d run the lil crap plastic anti rockers and maybe dremel the groove out a little. I bet those moonshine wheels are gonna be amazing on the cults though 👌🏻
I tried mine anti-rocker, it was skatable but i went back to flat because it's just so much better like that. I hated how it had like 3 H grooves with antirocker.
The problem is that you end up with 3 grooves, it kind of works with larger 48mm antis but the groove is just too wide and it doesn't hold well, if anyone wants anti rocker aeons then just make it UFS and slap on flt3, fluid4 or CO.
You still rocked the antis by how it looked, agreed that if you made the H block more pronounced maybe they’d be great anti! Update video after creating a more pronounced Hblock? Love the channel 🔥
new tasty skates coming in......... hmmmmmmmm sounds like hes rolling back to the 90s again for some RB chocolates 🤣🤣😂😂for real though what you got coming :D give us a clue :P
You looked as bad as me and I use aeons (sometimes anti rocker). And I agree with the vague H block not locking. Maybe I should get some different skates...
Absolutely agreeing here. Love my Sam Crofts cause of weight and comfort. But the groove profile makes no sense to me, atm I ride them with good old juice blocks but there is always a bit of fear in the back of slippin out when I do rails or coping. I think for most of us "the who" creates the perfect song, "the seeker" and there is no perfect Skate. We are cursed to buy more and more. 😜 Greets from Germany
@@lonerblader85 atm for me sway with comfi liners like crown or fatboy and a Kizer fluid (anti) or maybe type M (freestyle) are working pretty well. No need to spend thousands of Dollars and these things are durable af.
Yeah I’m not even close to being as good as Ben but I was slipping all over the place they were designed for flat I just put harder wheels on the inside.
Bro I Fliping Hate those skate, a big waste of money. They slide like crap and mess with my ankles to much. I just took the liner out and used the wheels on my razor cults . The cults feel better now and I now have extra wheels .....LOL . Blessings bro
This has become my favorite blading channel. (Tied with one trick a day)
Mine too
Definitely! 💪💪💪
Same goes with me.
Those are my two go-to channels! 🔥🔥🔥
Great channel. Do you watch Corey English?
@@almostremembered i think u meant to maneotis i watch ricardo lino, corey english, buzzcut brandon, acosta blades and irollerboot 😃

Gawds got floppy for me too
I got the Kizer fluid 5's stock on my sway 60's, and I dig'em!! I'm not an anti-rock dude...speed declines too much for this dude...
Richard Johnson rocks them anti

Bro, that one kid looking out for you! That kid needs a high five.
He’s a dope little dude. He took a few good slams too :/
Where is this skate park?.... looks cool:)
I skate kiser M-Type frames .. I was having the same issue, I grinded a deep groove in with a grinding wheel and now they lock perfectly

Hey Greg! I haven’t skated either of those so I don’t think I could give any useful feedback. Hopefully someone can chime in.
Hiii best content again bro this is fire vid:)
Do you feel the same way about the aeon 80s?
Never Skates those unfortunately. Some day!
Oh understood. Thank you for the videos man
i got the rollerblande blank sk, to install the anti rockers that comes with them is need to remove the wheel spacers?

Hey I live in corpus maybe sometime we skate that San Antonio sometime soon I’m just learning but love your videos man!!!
I’ve actually since moved to Oklahoma City, but I’ll be back sometime!

I do need to go give them a real groove here soon. No soul plate mods aside from my goofy “speed dimples”

I should reach out to sliqx 🤔

Thinking I may dig out my dremel and see what I can do.
And they definitely felt UNFAIRLY light. It’s insane

“Vague” is a great word for it
And really flat is the proper way of blading to me shows you procession and actual h block placement to have true control
Maybe flat but with 55-58mm wheels might be the best of both worlds in the Lomax.
I don't know how he got wheel bite on 60 aeons. He should have kept the skates flat as they are intended to be. Good video bra

Eugen riding antii rocker
You were ripping it holy shit!

Yeah I’m not even close to being as good as Ben but I was slipping all over the place they were designed for flat I just put harder wheels on the inside.
This reminds me of when people didn't have money and just removed the middle wheels, that and those ugly frames with no middle wheels anyway!
Maybe on this frame it don't work but antiroker is the best on any other frame
I do like both for different applications

Aeons are good skates learning to ride flat but as a whole not a good skate they slow down over time
That was great. Still shows why I love flatttttttttttt.
