It is impossible to capture all traditional Serbian food in one video, so we capture 4 of our favorites in this video.
More food coming, so make sure you subscribe and follow our adventures in Serbia.
We hope you enjoy it!
Thanks! Yes Serbians are really nice indeed.
Thank you for your message ☺️
Subscribed. I'm from Serbia and you guys are amazing!❤ Tip for next time you come as well as all others that wish to visit Belgrade: Don't go to tourist food places if you can. They got higher prices than regular places and quality most of the time is not better and sometimes even worse from smaller shops. You can check reviews on places that are not in tourist zones and choose the best one you find instead. And NEVER use street cab and especially airport cab they always try to ripoff strangers sometimes they charge $50-100 more than the actual price. Outside of that we are very hospitable people and love visitors! Also Novi Sad is amazing city as well and it has EXIT, one of the biggest music festivals in Europe. There the greatest music stars from all around the world come to preform. Novi Sad itself is bit different than Belgrade it has more of European flavour in architecture. Similar to Vienna. Also almost all younger people speak english and will always be glad to help you!
Nis is also a beautiful city, if you can, it would be nice to visit that city with a rich history and the best food in Serbia :)
Bosnia and Hercegovina has best chevapi its made in Bosnia
@Lazar nisam zbala
I love people like these two who just come to serbia to have a good time and enjoy themselves. Glad to hear you guys enjoyed your stay in Serbia.
Yes we are. Sad that we are leaving at the end of this week 😭😭😭 but we will back! We have to come back and do a road trip to Tara and all the beautiful nature you guys have in Serbia
The Mamuchos the food is great and all but a bit sucky over all.

So sweet of the ladies to give you guys those sweet pastries! Love hospitality like that
Yes Serbian people is great at hospitality. We weren't expecting it, gladly surprised
It's the culture of the people, all Balkan countries are like this. They love being good hosts!
That's true
Whenever I hear that a restaurant has been open for over a 100 years I know the food is gonna be amazing! The burek looked delicious, I love it when places pair pastry meat and yogurt 😃
Yes it's def a great pairing. Yes agree on the time, of its still open, after wars, crisis and more, then it must be great
Cevapi looks like a pita wrap...nice!! Serbia looks promising!!!
Really good
It's actually a minced meat in shape of roller server in a ”somun" bread, with some onions and "kajmak". It's so good...
Mikki Shih Tzu take burger patty meat and shape it like a small tube.
Mikki Shih Tzu the food is great but DONT YOU DARE FORGET THE SOUP before every fucking meal ever.
@@greivoud7113 😂😂😂 noooo not every meal but every lunch especially Sunday lunch 😉 my fiancee is Dutch and only here he eats homemade soup my mom makes from scratch 💖
Yesss Serbian food episode! Was already excited from the title
Yay! Hope we live up to your expectations
Omg the burek looks so good. Cevapi is one of our favourite Serbian foods, so delicious. Great Serbian food tour guys, we're drooling over here.
Thank you guys! Cevapi is indeed delish !!
The Burek is from Pekara Trpković near Slavija. It is the best burek in Belgrade. I would always buy burek from them while I was studying in Belgrade.
Food in Serbia is really, really goooood.
Agree! Really good
Burek 😍 from that bakery sounds yum!!
Old bakery with customers always lining up sounds convincing to visit 👍🏻
Nice recommendation from the locals 👍🏻
Yes really nice ☺️
It's not actually and old traditional bakery, it's mainstream but top quality. However, you can eat much better burek in BG...
Give us some names so we can try again at our return
@@TheMamuchos www.planplus.rs/pekara-bobe/100332. For example. Or www.planplus.rs/pekara-ljupce/128513. These are both better for burek
Hey Maria and Lieles!! So great to see you guys! Love how Lieles has a hand towel with him all the time. That bakery is absolutely beautiful, and you know we would have to stop here!! The Burek is so inexpensive and look delicious! The meat one for us as well since we don't eat cheese. So sweet of them to gift you those pastries with nutella!!!
Yes it's his cooling system 3000 (he named it) lol
Burek is really delish and that bakery is amazing
Never heard of Serbian food, it looks really good and underrated, you guys did a great job in showing and explaining the dishes.
Yes underrated for sure, just like Belgrade. Hope they get some steady tourism when the virus is under control in the world

Makes us curious how it tastes for us.
The meat, onion and cashew fillings sounds incredible 👍🏻🤤🤤
Thanks for this food tour video guys, a lot of things we learn about Serbia from you!
It is sooo good.
It's not cashews, it's kajmak. Which is a cream cheese from here.
Happy you enjoyed it and hope you get to try it soon
I really liked this food review. Brings good memories from my native country. Thank you and glad you enjoyed the food!
Aww that's awesome! Happy to read your comment. We enjoyed it a lot! We heard smaller cities and towns have even better food, can't wait to go back and do a road trip.
The Mamuchos the best way to describe it is “just like how mom made it” so much passion put in making the food in the smaller cities.
OMG this is such a great food adventure. i love it. KEEP IT UP
Thank you! Glad you liked it
We’ve been eating cevapi almost every Friday 😂😂😂 Loved this episode.

Yes those chocolate pastries were awesome
Time to do some light walking, you guys are the pros for real walking and hiking though ☺️
Wooohooo was waiting for the food tour! Cheese and meat Burek with a side of yogurt looks like a staple dish for brekky in Serbia. The nutella pastry gift was a nice lil extra touch too. Woaaaaaaah that crumbed veal stuffed with cream cheese, that looks heavy duty. Cevapi looks like something perfect for lunch. So much goodness!
So much goodness is right 🤤🤤🤤
Ready to eat again today.
More food coming up soon guys! Hope you enjoy those videos too

Cevapi!! 😍
Didn't know that thing about the color. Nice!!
Yes it's fully cooked but shouldn't be dark inside
It's not a raw light color, it's just lighter inside, I guess the charcoal has to do with that
So many amazing dishes! I didn't know much about serbian food before this video. Hopefully I can find a place near me to try some
I'm sure you can find a place in London. You would love cevapis for sure
Jealous...Food looks so good, we want to try it all!!
We try it all that's why we are fat lol
Wow the Cevapi looks really good, i definitely would try it.
It's soooo good

Mmmmmmm. Nice mask earring Maria 🤣. Love those places where there is a line when a place opens up. Really nice you got a gift!!!!
Mask earring hahaha 🤣🤣🤣 you got me thinking for like two seconds hahahah
“I would love to tell you that we have woken up bright and early to come eat this burek, but we haven’t” - we know the feeling all too well 😂😂
Hahaha can't lie about it hahaha but it's good to know they open at 6am lol
As a Serbian I like seeing people trying our food. We eat good.
You truly do! Love it all here
great video you both are awesome...
Thank you so much!! Your words make us so happy ☺️
Woohoo love seeing local foods from around the world! Yup guys, wake up early for good food!! Burek looks good! Texture looks like croissant, with meat, I bet Lieles can eat it for supper too, and with beer/wine :P
He's not a beer or wine drinker, all that is my territory hahahaha
But yes he could eat it at any time
Burek!! My godmother from Turkey made it every time we came over. Oh the tasty memories. Need to find it here in town until we can travel.
Turkish Burek is Soo good as well. Yum yum. We wish we had tried this before
such unique foods in this video
Thank you!
Cevapi! I've seen this in other videos, looks to die for
It is sooooo good!! And the onions with it, just perfect
Drago mi je da ste vi uživali Srpskog hranu. Svaka ti čast!!
Hvala vam! Volimo svoje vreme tamo, a mi ćemo se vratiti i otići u manje gradove da pojedemo više lokalne hrane
The food there looks like it would fill you up!! Very hearty foods!! Yum!!
Very very hearty foods, perfect for winter, it's hard to keep up with it now in summer time
Ooh nutella bread.. haha definitely a sweet snack 🙂❤
Sooo good
Wow!! The bakery has been open 100 years!! That’s amazing!!!
Can you believe that????
Many food places in Serbia are working for as long or around as long. It's mostly traditional businesses passed down a couple of generations. There are even older places than that too
LOL I'm recording you with my eyes 😄 "oh yeah, it doesn't work too well!" You guys are hilarious! 😂
Hahahaha when we are full we don't know how to act lol
Burek! 🥺 i want one
Soooo delish
Trpkovic is the beeeeest bakery in the world ♥️
We loooved it! They are so nice too
Goood morningggggg! lol. Don't get to have burek often. It sound delicious there!! So nice the gift they gave you guys! Love cevapi. Had it heaps in croatia. Have to try the one with cheese inside and ajvar with onions!! love it!! hahah lieles calling the time out. Time to end the vid to sleep lol
Yes the onion and Ajvar makes it good, the kajmak gives a buttery taste to it
Pljeskavica on Serbian organic bread and onions..The best burger in the world.😋😋😋🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸
Delish, no doubt! and give me some Kaymak please!!
@@TheMamuchos Kajmak is extra .
I need this burger in my life :D also loved the evil eye bracelet!
Thank you!!
We got the evil bracelet in Cappadocia.
Yes to the burger!!
Lieles' stuffed pita looks like a great lunch. Awesome to hear that all the meat is so juicy and flavorful! Cevapi... Maria's looked just as good yummy! We bet the raw onions helped cut the richness of the meat! HAHAHA.. poor Lieles with all the walking! Great bloopers at the end LOLOL!! We always crack up!! Maria.. "I accept my problems.." LOL! Fun video and love you guys to the mother effin' moon!! Stay safe and behave!!
Thank you girls!! We love you to the mother effin' moon too!!
Yes food was delish! We keep making our way around to eat more and try to get Lieles to walk lol
In Serbia GMO food is forbidden, while the stuff labeled as Bio in the west, in Serbia is just normal regular food. Another thing is that in the US people put a lot of sugar not only in the sweets, but also in the regular meals, while in Serbia we don't do that, so you have more genuine natural taste of the actual food you're eathing.
@@schmucker1989 yes just like in Spain, where I'm from (Maria) the freshness of the food is on another level, so the flavor is natural and rich.
Wow that so nice video :)
You are so kind, thank you.
Really seems like the onions kick the cevapi up to another level... would love to try it if we make it to Belgrade!
The onions and the kajmak just make it perfect! The meat is delish, but the combination is just awesome
Im glad you liked our food.
Loooved it! Going back in September
You guys have to check out Serbian nature. It’s amongst the most beautiful I’ve ever seen in my years of traveling. Definitely recommend seeing River Tara, they say the water is so clean that you can drink from it.
Hi World Eater! We are planning to go back for Rakija season and do a road trip ! Thank you for the recommendations! Do you live in Serbia?
@@TheMamuchos no but I visit family there every year. They take me everywhere to see the places and my favorites are Zlatibor and River Tara
Awesome!! Maybe we cross paths one day 😊
I can't wait to go back home,i miss all our food
Where are you? When are you planning to go back?
Woww that huge hamburger meat served with chips sounds like our jam!
Reminds me of burger patty served with rice in Japanese hotplate restaurants.
We‘d like to try that! 😍
Ohhh nice! We have to try those too!!
That is pljeskavica not burger, diferent part of meat used
I'm glad you enjoyed our food.you 2 are cute...
Thank you! You are so kind ☺️
Even better that they grill the cevapi over charcoal - can imagine that nice smoky flavor 🤤🤤
Sooo good !!!
that beef patty looking thing looks super tender
Tender and it was really huge, like two Lieles faces kinda big
Excellent
Thanks
Bocata de nocilla!! Vaaamooosss! Train back to childhood!
Eso eso, que no sabía cómo explicarlo jajaja
So sweeet! And how to pronounce KAJMAK?! Weeell...letter J pronounce like Y(ellow) , or Kai and Mak 😁
Greetings from Serbia ♥️
Hi there!! We have to work on our pronunciation for sure!
Thanks for the tip!!
Greetings from somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea
We love burek too! Haven’t tried a Serbian one specifically yet. Looks so flaky and delicious
So flaky and delicious! And the mix with the yogurt just makes it perfect
Burek looks like the think savoury martabak
Some yogurt and breads looked really tasty for sure! Cheese and meat! Price is not bad at all 🙂
Not at all, food is a bit pricier than Turkey but still really affordable
Cevapi!! We love them and they go so well inside of the bread. Have you eaten it with the ajvar?
Yes we have! Nice pepper paste
Love you guys 😍 Have fun in my city :)) Make sure to go to Ada Ciganlika or Belgrade waterfront, its summer time :))
Awww we love you too! We are staying near the Belgrade waterfront, sooo Beautiful!! Sunsets there are so beautiful
And we went to Ada ciganlika Last week and made a video.
Pljeskavica.. we couldn't pronounce it either, but that looks like a big salisbury steak without the gravy!! LOLOL Totally a big man meal with that burger. Marias (we can't even spell it) looks delicious and juicy. So amazing you're getting to try food you never have tried in the US! Before you cut it open, it looked like a massive corn dog!
Hahaha yes you are right, looks like a corn dog. But the cream cheese (kajmak) and the meat makes it way juicer.
You are absolutely right, never thought we would try Serbian food or be in Serbia for that matter lol but we are so happy we are here

Burek is simply delicious... enough said and that jorypt I'd imagine is like ayran? Seems like a super delicious way to start the day in Belgrade!
It's a great way to start the day. The yogurt isn't salty like ayran, it taste more like non flavored yogurt. It's not sweet but it's not salty at all.

Yes, but it's not like ayran (turkish yogurt)

It's pronounced KAYMAK, and it is salted clotted cream, not cream cheese. I am so glad you liked it!
Sorry and thank you so much! Saying it is like a cream cheese was for others who aren't familiar with it to have an understanding on texture and feeling, didn't mean to say it was cream cheese. We loved it!
