Colin, thank you for the excellent playthrough! I’m glad to see that your adventures met with success. We spent 16 years developing this game, and our greatest pleasure is seeing it get played!!
ANDREW!!! The game is glorious so much FUN!! Great work with it and I'll have you know I've now played 6 times already it is so addicting!! Haha thanks for your effort on this one !
55:20 - AFAIK these are coming randomly through the book. You might have some or you might not. Which makes the replayability really high. After all the book is massive. Also, if I am not mistaken, I think there are some secrets that you can solve throughout multiple separate playthroughs (and still random and you must remember them). Which is awesome. This game is truly amazing.
Ah cool. I pre-ordered few months ago and my copy is on the way now. Can't wait. A nice Colin's playthrough is just what I need while waiting to play myself.
I am hoping to get hold of this game at some point. I loved the original Tales of the Arabian Nights and had a great time with it. Thanks for the play through, Colin!
Hi Colin FWIW City #3 "The Joyous Garde" is Lancelot's castle. It's where Lancelot takes Guinevere after he rescues her from execution for her betrayal of Arthur. IIRC The Joyous Garde is besieged by Arthur and Gawain fights Lancelot in single combat. I normally thank you for showcasing games, but not this time because you have put me in a quandary. Really want it as, because if there is one world that I love more than Middle Earth, it is Arthurian Britain. But I have to move house and now is not a good time to buy games when I don't get any to the table as it is! 😂😂 About halfway through the vid and really enjoying. I've wanted a good Arthurian themed game for ages and so far this one suits me the best of those I've seen.
So sorry Paul!! This one is worth it though! Just take care of the house move first then you can get this one as the stories are GREAT!! Thank you for watching my friend!!
@@MeetMeAtTheTable It would make a nice house warming present to myself! lol It's been a while since I last read the Morte d'Arthur but some of the events really brought it back as much as my rubbish memory would allow.
I have this on pre-order. Love the idea of a competitive game that can be more about who had the coolest/craziest adventure over just accumulated points.
This game looks incredible! I have mine arriving soon. And yes, actual text to read aloud is better than apps every time. Surely it’s more fun to do silly voices with your friends and family!
Thanks for the playthrough. Different type of game that I don’t currently have and was curious what true solo is like. Thanks to you I can see this is quite a fun narrative levelling up game. sure there are choices but not much in tactics but it’s like a journey that your character goes through the ups and downs. I think I’ll look for this in Aus as it may be just something that I need to relax with out of the brain injuring type tactic games I have haha. Great voice acting by the way. Perhaps I should get your voice on an app instead? Haha
Howdy. I was one of the playtesters for this fun game, and those numbered tokens are pretty rare to get. Even when you do get one, you will only rarely have a subsequent encounter that is affected by possession of the token. When that DOES happen, you are either diverted from having an encounter that makes no sense in light of the earlier one (e.g., you killed a creature in an earlier fight that now somehow shows up again) or you have an especially rare alternative encounter (like, nah, I'm not gonna spoil you- and no cheating by just reading through the book).
Totally makes sense!! Thank you so much for clarifying note I don't feel like I'm missing out. When I do get one though.. hehe! I'll be excited!! Thanks so much for plastesting this one it is quite fun!!
That’s not great design in my opinion to have so many sections of the story so difficult to unlock. I appreciate rare items in the game but this seems excessive.
Oh I don't think it's unlocked i think it's just that if you do something they don't want that to make 0 thematic sense if you happen to encounter it again. Does that make sense?
do they have an APP for the story book for a few reasons don't want to flip through every time, don't want to see stuff ahead of time by accident, if any errors in the printing of that book can get a patch to update the APP ?

I think you can grab it from your local game store now!! Thanks for watching!!

Totally agree!! I just love hearing Bairnt fail and pronouncing things haha!!
36:35 You forgot to increase a skill of your choice as you lost the Plague-Ridden status.
I'll make a note thanks for watching!!!

Heck yes that's exactly it!! And thanks so much haha!! I have a lot of fun doing the voices!!
You could have gone to Merlins cave in 2 turns , crossing the water from Dublin :)
I always have a hard time counting!! Haha! Thanks so much for watching!

I've always wanted to be a Lord of RUclips. Much obliged!
Hahaha YES!!! SIR KNIGHT!
do they have an APP for the story book for a few reasons don't want to flip through every time, don't want to see stuff ahead of time by accident, if any errors in the printing of that book can get a patch to update the APP ?
I get that for sure! No app from what I understand sorry! But your points are quite valid!!
So...where do I get this game?
I got it from the WizKids website directly! My guess is that it will be in local game stores in a month! I got this as my pre order
The game should be in stores shortly. I think WizKids is currently focused on fulfilling pre-orders.
Sooo these dudes wrote a book and made you have to play a “game” to read it? 😂
Hahaha YES and I LOVE IT!! So much more fun that way!!
@ I love to read but I’ve tried games that are similar like Isofarian Guard and other reading heavy story games and weren’t for me sadly
