Great playthrough! this game has so many little rules to remember, but once you get those down, it's absolutely amazing! Couple things i noticed with your playthrough: -Lamentors only have one action. So once it opens a door, it cant make a move right after. It needs to wait until it's next turn. -When using the reflex skill, it triggers when the enemy makes base contact with you. So if that's during the enemy first action, and you move away, it would still have it's second action to move. The reflexes skill only cancels the first initial action used to make base contact with a character. -Try to remember that enemies can move diagonally as well. Couple times I noticed you moved them orthogonally which ended up nerfing their movements. -Keep in mind where your characters are. When spawning Lamentors from grave points, they need to come out of the closest one to a character. You spawned one three squares away from Greet instead of the grave point right beside Grogmar. -Keep in mind when throwing a weapon, if the enemy is in base contact with one of your characters, there is a chance that you'll miss and actually hit your own party members. You'll need to roll a die and randomly choose the target. This makes throwing items very dangerous. The way you played the hammer throw could be considered legal because Greet was standing behind a pillar. That could totally be a house rule. -I noticed you missed a lot of effortless actions. Try to remember to utilize those, even if its just for a dash. Even though I cought these, you did an amazing job! You even pointed out a few things that I've been getting wrong! So thank you for that 😁 I hope you continue to play and record for us to enjoy. The campaign is epic and even the in-between phases are a lot of fun. Keep it up Colin!
@@MeetMeAtTheTable also, I was just looking at reflexes. Do you think it allows for a whole move action? The card reads "lvl 1 reaction: use when enemy engages you. Move, ignoring AoO." But at lvl 3 it reads "reaction: use when enemy engages you. Attacker is stunned. In any order, move up to twice, ignoring AoO and attack." I've always played that reflexes allows a single square to be moved but you played as a whole move action. The way it's worded at lvl 3 makes me think the way I played it to be true.
Love the playthrough, good sir! I do wish to say that in the dungeon delving business, we do not say "get our butts back" as you said at 10:12, we call it a "tactical retreat". Hope you play more of this!
Love the playthrough as always. I went all in on yhis one. Would love to see you and Bairnt play this live. Im sure there would be a lot of fun moments. Keep up the great work you do. What you both do on this channel is greater appreciated.
Absolute magic man. I bought this kickstarter and a lot of modules for this and was hoping you boys had this one in the bag. not tried it yet as just getting to know it first, so I am super amazeballs to watch this. will get this watched when I have time, so just a thumbs up from me for this. YAAY! 😂 get the dungeon set, the levelled dungeon look fekin outstanding!
@@MeetMeAtTheTable I think when Greet was next to Grogmar after being a zombie, Grogmar could have used an effortless action to start dragging Greet with him.
Nice video, not yet watched it though completely. But noticed around 21:30 you roll 2 heads to spawn lementors. You should roll 1 die to determine where both of them spawn and not one for each lementor. (Reference the maladum tutorial video by battlesystems)
Fantastic video! I received the KS edition last week to the question of my wife who said “we still need to finish GH Jaws of the Lion and then Frosthhaven??” I’ve played the tutorial and we got hammered but i witnessed the potential of this game. I’ll definitely be watching more content from you with this game. Thanks!!
Some rule clarifications: 1) when opening double doors you open both doors. 2) Adversaries that come in on a die roll arrive together, not at different spawn points.
@@MeetMeAtTheTable another point, you cannot thrown object and damage enemies with an effortless action. For do it you must use a standard attack action
@@MeetMeAtTheTableNo sorry. I read again the manual, and i think you are correct. You can thrown an object using an effordless action but the item don't cause damage. This is used for example for give an item at a distant companion (page 31 of manual). You can also thrown an item to enemies but as attack. I was thinking due this is an attach that was a standard action, but reading again the manual i think you are right and thrown object is always effordless action
I highly recommend a lazy susan and a 2x2 board (plus a inch or 2 for spawning tokens). Then you can turn the whole thing to make it easier to see in rooms etc.
Playing this mission as we speak, having a ton of trouble dealing with a crag troll. Just remember to use every skill and ability your charecters have in their boards
Yeah that is kind of "par for the course" with the battle system games. Heck I am almost tempted to buy some cheap dungeon walls off etsy or amazon because of the set up time.
Really good playthrough. I want to like this game more than I do after 3 plays but there are too many icons and rules for what is a simple 2 action dungeon crawl. The game is desperately needing references cards for the icons. I’m going to give it a few more tries and hoping rules start sticking.
I have the Kickstarter version which comes with quick reference cards but the writing is so small they are pretty useless so definitely think a printed summary is the way to go.
Two things put me off on this one. First, the 3d terrain looks great but makes it a pain to play and see. The bigger issue for me is the constant lookup in the rulebook for the upteen icons being used. I didn’t get the KS version and from what I understand that comes with reference guides for all the classes? The retail does not so it was back to the rulebook every turn. That made the game slow and breaks immersion too much for me.
I am 100% with you on both accounts. The amount of iconography is insane i had printed reference sheets and it was still a lot! Thank you for watching!!
Oh that is a good point I can see that! Yes it is for the rulebook however they have tons of info on the lore, how to make your own quests, advanced rules, multi level terrain, all that jazz. Thanks for watching!!

First player marker is for players and not characters so when playing solo, you can activate them in any order
