Alright. You guys sold me on this. I think this is going to go over great with my group, considering our love of RPGs. What a fun play! Thanks for sharing. 😄
I love the original tales of arabian nights. My friends and I always play without worrying about who wins, just having the most crazy adventures. This version looks like it makes some of the rules a little better for choosing from the storybook, with knowing which skill youre gonna be able to use.
1:55:26 mild spoilers, but it's amusing to know that if Jon _had_ succeeded with his magic check (admittedly pretty unlikely with his accursed status but not impossible given his high magic skill) he would have gotten 5 destiny, 1 rank of villainy, the opportunity to become Betrothed again which would have given him _more_ villainy because he was already betrothed... don't know if he would have won but it would have been a lot closer... and absolutely hilarious. That said the outcome we did get was _also_ hilarious. Quite funny that Jon was being Licentious long before he got the trait and his dice rolls were seemingly cursed long before he got Accursed. I think the game was just describing rather than giving out statuses lol. But yeah, this is a game about enjoying the journey more than the points, just like it's predecessor. And indeed, I enjoyed this video greatly, thanks for this.
Either way that roll went, it was going to be hilarious. I really enjoyed the irony of failing the only magic roll I ended up doing, after desperately wanting them to happen all game long. I'm glad you enjoyed this one, we had a blast making it.
I saw this being demo'ed at GenCon this year and was wondering about it. There was no one near the table to talk about it, so I just wrote it down for future reference. Thank you for this video, it answers so many questions I had. As it turns out, this game is not for me or my group. But I know some people that would really enjoy this. I will let them know about it.
This was so excellent. Didn't know what to expect.
You guys are a HOOT.
The writing in this game was great
Glad you enjoyed it, we had a blast filming it :)

Cameliard... Leodegrance... Have you not seen the incredible 1981 film Excalibur? Must see. That's pre-fame Patrick Stewart as Leodegrance.
