I never like Triple H. But he really went all out to extend the olive branch. He pushed for Warrior to be inducted to the hall of fame, and knowing Warrior’s character, he tried his best to make sure Warrior didn’t had any confrontation with anyone, telling Terry to please stay away from him until the induction. But it’s all cool in the end. Hulk & Warrior finally made peace. Damn it, the book he gave Vince, it got me crying like a bitch.

You’re being harsh on that post-WM 12 Warrior return promo with Goldust. Probably the best Warrior promo ever. “I’ve got a full length movie for you-me kicking your ass from beginning to end!”
I always wondered whether that Summerslam 91 dispute was done to cover up steroid issues with Warrior. Looking at videos from around that time, Warrior is getting noticeably smaller, and I don’t think it’s coincidental that Warrior, Hogan, and Savage all took breaks around that period, only to come back leaner. It’s all too convenient to me.

That's what I've always figured. Somewhere in mid-2013 Warrior somehow knew his time was limited. Whether it was a doctor visit, divine intervention, or just some odd feeling, he definitely knew. I think that combined with thinking about his family got him to finally pull his head out of his own ass and be a decent person and make amends with everyone he could.

Kevin Sullivan that was booking WCW at the time said Warrior came in so Hogan could get the win back. In his words he thought it was “Strange” about how Hogan was so set on getting that win back from Warrior. It’s Hogan so nothing surprises me when it comes to placating his giant ego. Remember, WCW booked Hogan almost identically to his 80’s run. They even brought Zeus in for Gods sake!

I was at the Nitro where Sting and Warrior took on Hogan and Hart. Not a great match, but it was so awesome to see the one and only time Sting and Warrior reunited. My biggest fantasy at this time was for them to reform the Blade Runners, even if they didn't use the name, just to give some much needed hype for Warrior, who was gradually losing the audience's attention as his storyline with Hogan was trainwreck after trainwreck. 98 was definitely one of the worst years for WCW as egos all around ruined some great potential storylines.

I saw the Warrior at a high school show he came out into the audience after the match and was throwing chairs around. people ran away. my buddy and I stood there clapping and cheering. I put both hands up for a high 10. he interlocked with my hands shook my arms around and kinda gave me a little shove backwards. I played it up and fell backwards about 5' into the padded wall of the gymnasium and he gave me a WTF look, and then a little smirk and kept on throwing chairs. it made my year. Do you believe Hellwig DID know a lot more than he was letting on in that final appearance as the Warrior in the ring that night?
I believe people know when they're going to die, maybe not consciously, but something inside seems to make these people feel an urge to get their affairs in order, make peace where once there was none.
My grandmother told me about how my grandfather wrote an extra passage in her birthday card the year he died. Every year he wrote the same words in the birthday cards, but that last year he wrote an extra passage. She remembered this and said it was as is somehow he knew...
I believe Jim Hellwig may have somehow just knew, you know?.

As a former Warrior fan, I remember watching Halloween Havoc. "No, that can't be right," I thought. And for years I was in denial, because it just didn't compute, and I thought maybe I just wasn't in the mood when I saw it. That McMahon Little Engine story brought me to tears, when I didn't think I'd cry for the passing of Warrior again. It's so stupid, but it sounds like Warrior did find peace.

Great videos mate. Just regarding HHH, my recollection is that warrior took offence because Helmsley took his ideas to Gerald Brisco. When Brisco approached warrior, he cut him off and said to HHH ‘if you ever have something to say to me you need to say it face to face man to man...... we’re done’

So why didn't Jim go to WCW in 92? If The Ultimate Warrior went to WCW in 92 or 93 WCW would have put the WWF out of business. Warrior, Sting, Luger, Flair, Road Warriors, Hogan, Giant etc, when Hall and Nash came to WCW the WWE would have never been able to compete

  • @MGTV1

i think people still misunderstand jim's warrior gimmick. he said outlandish nonsensical things because his deal was that he was so jacked up that he had lost his mind. hearing him speak outside the ring and away from promos, you could tell his in-ring persona was seriously less intellectual than he was. the warrior was an incarnation of jim's spirit in the jim, ring, and life dialed up to 11, not his mentality.

    •  4 года назад

The things he said in the ring were ahead of there time and one would need eyes to see and ears to hear to understand the Warrior's message and a dictionary would be needed for most of us, the fans, the Warrior was speaking spiritually from a high plan of knowledge. Some people just did not get it as life is spiritual and were trapped in this Carnal World, so some who are not spiritually gifted did not understand this message maybe, my opinion Ultimate Warrior is and was always the best, a awesome man.

I had the great fortune to see the Warrior vs. Dino Bravo in a steel cage at Market Sq. Arena in Indianapolis in 88. And I personally met him and got his autograph at a Toys R Us in Indy right after he beat Hogan, and had both belts. I will never forget seeing the Warrior step out of his limo.. snakeskin boots, stonewashed denim everywhere.
