In the early 90's I was a security guard for Burn's Security in Greenville Tennessee! I worked for Magnavox. I had to guard a parking lot that was fenced in. There was a TV in the guard shack, now, we were not to watch the TV, but, come on, as if! I watched a lot of commercials! Thanks Dave! You do an Awesome job! I appreciate it!
So in love with your opening song dude! INSTANTLY reminds me of my dad driving me and my brothers and sister back from the fair. He liked I was always the one to stay up until we got back home at 5am. great great memories and this is going to be shared with so many people who are not even alive right now.
This is so peak 90's. My dad got our first RCA DSS DirecTV receiver in fall of 95, and we had to do the install ourselves, along with running the phone line for PPV. took us an entire weekend to set the pole for the dish, let the concrete dry, and cut down 2 pine trees in the backyard that were in our way of the signal path, and that was all for a single set. One of my uncles, and a friend of my sister both had PrimeStar, and being able to have it on multiple sets I felt it was a much better service with more channels for less money than DSS DirecTV, but the boxes were not near as cool as the RCA DirecTV with the interactive channel guides, and screen savers that changed with each new generation of boxes till RCA was removed from them by the mid 00's. Now Waterworld, and Under Siege 2 are such fun trainwrecks, and Apollo 13 was, and still is an awesome movie.
This Colorado girl suddenly wants a Coors Light after seeing that commercial. ❤️ And that AT&T commercial spouting how they have all the great technology made me laugh. Adorable. 😅
@@catrinag.9262 Exactly, comforting like a blanket. Couldn't have said it better. & Not going to lie, I did that last stream 😅. Was kind of tired, and fell asleep for a good hour maybe.
Ah the memories: tiger cubs, youth soccer with my son and pogs in the bed and beneath the couch. I confess: I liked Waterworld and vertical salt is a fine band! Heartfelt thanks dave!
Those Gramercy Press commercials were the first place I ever heard of "the internet". Had never even known someone with a personal computer. That was going to change...
I never got into pogs. Every once in awhile, some magazines I had gave out free ones, but never enough to play a game with, so I didn't bother with them.
I do remember POGS kind of being a thing for some bizarre reason. Even in elementary school I did not see the appeal, if they ever truly had any. I've always wondered how actual Australians felt about those Foster's commercials. Honestly, I forget pagers were a thing. What exactly did they do? Never in my life have I seen a Bic ad. I kind of remember those Snake Light ads. Do they still make those? I always thought they were cool. Not gonna lie, I low key like Nine Months.
Did you ever notice in his 90s car commercials the only vehicles you still see on the road are the Hondas and the Toyotas and the Regular cab long bed pick up trucks
I still see plenty of 90's Ford Crown Vics(many old police cars from the auctions) going strong, with many turned into lowriders, and Dirty South cars( funky paint jobs, and skinny tall wheels), and plenty of Pontiac Grand Ams, and Grand Prix but the vast majority of Grand Am/Prix are so clapped out, being owned by low income, and potheads it makes you wonder how they are still running!!
Haha, that was very much the professional, buttoned up series of commercials for the boomer crowd. Even Cadillac thought they could sell the DeVille to them!
@@nickm5419 agreed Just everything from the 1990s Where pretty Good like people where Smarter, New Cars actually looked cool, You can just Talk to people on AOL, TV shows and TV networks where actually fun to watch

Summer of '95 was incredible! One of my all-time favorite summers. Tip's on its way, Dave! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
1995. I graduated High School that year. Apollo 13 is still my favorite movie of all time.
1995 was my favorite year, old enough to be independent but young enough to not have all the stress of adulthood. Thanks for the time machine Dave.
1995 was the last year before the internet and the world has changed since.
Watching these brings back memories like old favorite smells.
I skip RUclips commercials so I can get right to Dave's Commercials...
Summer '95 we moved to America from UK. I was instantly hooked on instant ramen and mt dew and American tv lmao

So comforting that I literally fell asleep watching this 😂. TV doesn't even have this quality anymore.
I often turn on Dave's archives playlist to take naps to not because it's boring but because they're so comforting. Like a warm blanket!!!
