It looks very muddy on me but doesn’t look well without any eyeshadow either. I’ll be following this tutorial till I get it down. I fell in love with your eyes the first time I saw a video by you. I never worried about hooded eyes but as I get older, I seem to be developing them......ah the force of gravity as we age! Definitely not our friend for sure! However, with your tips, gravity has less of a chance! Lol! TFS and have a blessed week! Be blessed, be Safe and stay well! Still waiting on some permanent cooler weather here in Texas! Just little teasers here and there! Hope it’s getting cooler there! ❤️
Gravity is definitely not our friend as we age!😂 So happy you found these tips helpful and that you are at least having some fall weather teases....today was the first day we stayed under 100 degrees in I don't know how long😳 I really want to get out my fall/winter clothes....maybe I can just turn up the a/c😘 But cooler weather is suppose to be coming....maybe even rain on Sunday! Looking forward to the liner video. I really like the tight line effect, but whenever I try it I end up with goop in the corner of the eye after a while. And then the whole line disappears after a couple of hours!

Thank you for this… I think I have an eyelid width of a gnat’s wing… I will try these techniques. I had pretty much quit wearing eye makeup except for mascara due to my hooded eye shape.

Awww, thank you🥰 I don't use a lash serum but instead opt for a mascara primer with lash benefits, like the Origins Underwear for Lashes or the Diorshow Maximizer 3D Primer.
So nice to see you using Makeup Geek shadows! I’ve got all of these 😊. My problem with this technique is putting a lot of a very dark shadow on the outer part of the eye. It always seems like it will make my deep set eyes recede even more. It sure looks good on you!!
I do love MUG shadows and felt like they had been neglected in my collection!😘 You are right, with deep set eyes, you will most likely want to leave out the dark shadow at the outer corner and bring the lightest shade all the way across the lid.

Thanks for this. I have hooded eyes and I have been making that eyeliner mistake forever. I try to get it as close to the lash line as possible but it always looks too thick. I will try what you showed and draw it under instead. I am one who doesn't really want to mess with the waterline so this will be a good option for me.

That was a great explanation for hooded eyes! 👌 Next, how to make lipstick stay put for “bleeding” lips 😉 As usually us ladies with hooded eyes have those lovely fine lines creeping up around our lips as well 😕. Awww, thank you, as always for your sweet words!♥️🥰 I typically just use tweezers to keep my stray brow hairs in check😂 Waxing my brows has always made me nervous....afraid I might take off half my brow!😳 I have tried the Flawless Touch for the Brows and that is just ok....I love the one for the face much better. So, usually I just get really close to the mirror and turn my head this way and that, hunting for those stray hairs to be plucked😘 Love & blessings to you too, my friend!💗

Do you ever use a setting spray? At 73 , a setting spray seems to make my make up stay much longer! Thoughts??
I rarely use a setting spray because most of them don't seem to work for me. However, the ONE that I've found truly helps my makeup stay all day is the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray😘

I get mixed messages about someone over 50 should only use matte eyeshadow as glitter highlights wrinkles. What are your thoughts?
There are two schools of thought out there and I'm in the school that thinks a little shimmer never hurts, no matter the age😘 It's true that chunky glitter can really highlight texture but a nice soft shimmer can actually help reflect light and diffuse the look of texture. I think if shimmer and glitter make you happy, go for it!😍
