I'm a drummer in the underground metal community, and we're always compared to the top drummers like Jordison, Lombardo, or Portnoy, etc. Unless you can do what they can do you're not really considered good. Makes me wonder what Kirk would say about how Band Maid writes their songs. They have a great rhythm section with MISA and Miku....but Kanami is CONSTANTLY noodling around on lead underneath the rhythm parts....and it is also super effective. :)

I love just how each guest brings a bit of their worldview with them. Considering how awesome say McLaughlin is, you can't say this or that approach is right. But what you can and should say is, this is how they made it work for them.
At the core, these interviews allow some of the most iconic and influential people in the business to plant seeds on us the viewers. Its up to us now, to make some of them bear fruit.

He has the same daily thoughts as so many of us. It's inspiring for me. I can only imagine me 40 years ago watching interviews like this. So many young musicians will benefit exponentially from interviews like this! Keep up the great work, Rick!! ❤🤘💯🎸
