No, it is not written to the papers. In Germany You are not allowed to drive a tuned car. Please do not say, that You can delete the tuning. No, impossible. There is a hidden bit, which only BMW "M" and AC Schnitzer know. AC-Schnitzer works like the "M-division" together with BMW. Allowed for the B 58 are 450 PS and a Torque of 600 Nm. The M 2 has other parts in the engine. So it has the name "S 58". AC- Schnitzer does it with a box. 16 sensors are giving wrong values to the main CPU. You can connect it at home. Better bring the car to Your locale dealer. He will make the "ABE" at the TÜV and he lets change all other papers. BMW wanted two security things: The water, cooling the eninge, may never go over 115 grad Celsius and You get the full power when the oil has 80 Grad. You can wait at the dealer or they give You a car. The price is a shock: about 4000 EURO. But a car which coasts like mine about 60.000 EURO should not get a tuning for 200 or 300 EURO. If Your car has run 50.000 km You get 1 year garanty from BMW. More than 150000 km 6 months. But it is legal. If You have an accident and are not guilty You have to pay. Damages on every other car and, if a person can not walk for example, You have to pay between 800 and 1200 EURO every month. Your driving license is away for 6 month or a year. You will get a new one. So, You need a check of Your eyes, You have to visit "First Aid" and so on......The tuner will tell You that it is okay, but he will not drive to the instances to let it check, Because he knows, that he has no chanc. Your smiling face was litteraly what my face looked like when i tuned my N54 335i for the first time, sadly sold that car a few months ago but my next step is the 340i in 1/2 months, i can’t wait to flash the B58 by MHD😁
I think the valved exhaust is an absolute must! These cars get so loud it’s ridiculous. I have just the midsection resonators and it’s loud enough that I need to close the valve quite often
Yes good points! It doesn't take much to ruin a perfectly good B58. I'm pretty well satisfied with the AWE axle back. Could used a little more volume so maybe a catted downpipe will help with that. Definitely keeping resonators though
The transmissions tag (GA8HP50Z) says it's built for max. torque of 500NM/370 ft lbs, which you exceed with this maps by 50 to 80 NM. I'm afraid of destroying my transmission over time when i use this MHD maps on my 340i :/
Man there are sooooo many people in the B58 community pushing this platform far beyond OTS stage 1/2 levels. With XHP Transmission tune combined with mhd, it's a great package overall.
Exactly as I feel. But have a look at kern417. Great content for tuning and that community has guys pushing their cars hard witout issues. They also explain everything in detail
How does it affect fuel economy when driving normally round town please? Does it change eco mode? I can get 40mpg from my 540i Xdrive if i try - 25 driving normally. No mods yet.
Tremendous difference with a xHP tune. Pulls hard and quickly shifts. A must have.

Did you dyno? I have a BM3 stage 1 93 of my F32 440xi.. When I dyoed with the current map I got 382whp and 410lb tq.

No major fuel economy issues with normal driving. Can still go economy when you want.

Get a TU pump, hybrid turbo, and custom tune. You’ll never look back.
