No female performer before or present even comes close to this women for her badass ,sultry performance . The exceptional ones always seem to leave us too early . RIP to a true rock chick .
All these old Divinyls classics... they were gold when they came out, and, 30+ years later, they still sound just as good. Music this good never gets old.
What a Lady, What a Front Girl, What a Performer , What a Band , Sadly, What a LOSS. Missing Chrissy. What a Aussie Legend and am i ThankFul to have grown up In Her Era and to have seen her Perform Numerous Times, Missing Chrissy. :(
It is very difficult to choose my favourite Divinyls song. In 1988 I bought the 12" vinyl of " Back to the Wall " It's not only my fave Divinyls' song it's in my Top 100 songs of all time. RIP Chrissie Amphlett the Queen of Aussie Rock.
The loss of Chrissy has left an enormous void in the Aussie music scene. Chrissy was unrivalled in the days when we were spoilt for choice music-wise, no one came close. With such a unique front woman, everything about Divinyls was original, outrageous and sadly, irreplaceable. RIP Chrissy.

Karl Wilde yep same here too!!!! First time i was like huh??? I need that song and of course the only way was to wait for the end of the movie to fins out as there was no internet....aaaah the 80's.
I touch myself was their main hit... Also outstanding is Pleasure and Pain and Love School... She was a real pro and sorely missed in today's music world
@@edarzoomanian9745it was, but their earlier music from 1980 onwards was a really distinctive sound and style. Rawer emotional delivery. A couple of earlier hits - apart from this song - are Boys in Town, and Science Fiction. I highly recommend you check those out ❤
RIP Chrissy. I'm an American that loves Aussie classics!! Peace and love from North Carolina! A nightmare on Elm street 4 💙 Love you Chrissy Rest in peace xoxo
G'day, Brucie!! Love & respect from Australia. Chrissy was Oz's reigning Rock Queen. There was never any other act like her. Totally original - and she didn't give a fk what her detractors threw at her. Her passing is not only a loss to Australia, but to the entire world. Thank-you for honouring her, mate. 👍👍👍
I still cant believe she's gone... restrained fury. absolutely brilliant. she would have been 56 today happy birthday to one of the best ladies of rock and roll
Seen her at the old Morley Tavern in Perth in the late 80's I was only a Teenager back then and she gave me a stare I just about came in my pants. RIP Chrissy x
With all respect, Chrissy is more than just pretty, she's a rock goddess, pure talent, she gave it her all, heart and soul . You should get to know more about her, now that you have discovered her.
I was so lucky to see them heaps in my teens & early 20s in Sydney. She is one of my favourite front women ever, & definitely a role model of a strong, creative woman.
and one of the best female rock singers of all times! she had that unique, smoky, sultry, rockin' voice that most didnt , and still dont have,,,also the Aussie accent added to her original sound,,,R.I.P. Chrissy (god we miss U)
Even though I grew up in Sydney; ironically, the only time I saw the Divinyls live was at the Roxy in Hollywood in 1988. I’ve never seen anything like it, the crowd was mesmerised. Chrissy prowled the stage like a punk pop lioness, I remember the crowd throwing money at her.
Been a huge fan of Chrissy/divinyls since highschool. i too shed a tear more than some since i too lost my partner to the big C. You wont be forgotten Chrissy :) your music will live on. We love you sweetie...
I was a time bomb ticking away and nearly lost my life, but I asked for help and was rebooted and rejuvenated. I can truly identify with this song. Bless Chrissy she gave us her gift of voice, talent and beauty in her music and life. .RIP forever.
Brett Gundry .......actually, Chrissy was older than is documented, she was born in ‘55 and was 58 when she passed, still far too young. I absolutely loved Divinyls, saw them live often and they never failed to deliver a blistering gig. I highly doubt we’ll ever see the likes of Christina again, she was quite simply, unique. My biggest regret is that this fabulous band was best-known outside Australia for (imo, the far weaker) “I Touch Myself” rather than the incredible early material that made Divinyls truly special. Then the pathetic amount of views - not only here but on most Divinyls sites, seems to reinforce the fact that unfortunately, that’s the song they’ll be remembered for when they had infinitely superior material.
unfortunately U are correct,,we’ll never see the likes of Christina again,,so sad,,,at least there was us, the fortunate ones who did get to enjoy their, lets not forget Mark, music; I turned alot of ppl onto Divinyls music, and smile when I think about, my goodness, that was back in the early 1980's, wow! 🙃😎
Best era the 80s . Divynls one of my favourites . Cristella Their best song I reckon. Chrissie's voice is amazing. Divinyls,,, Sublime,, RIP. Beautiful Girl....

Possibly the most underrated Aussie band. Their early stuff has stood the test of time. It's still fresh.
I love Chrissy and always will. Look at the girl from "the Preatures". She does Chrissy's song's so good.

Beautifully said. There will never be another Aussie rock queen like her.

This song reflects how I am feeling now with regards to living in this hell whole of a world we are living in.
Hear you there brother.
It’s a story of a woman being taped in an alley. Her back is to the wall so she doesn’t get it in her behind.
What is it about this world … there have been far far worse times … even though times can subjectively be hellish …
Eww. Sad @@advanceaustralia386
Eww about the be assault against a wall. Gross.
We are living in desperate times
These are desperate times my dear
There's no way out of here
There's no way out my dear
I've been holding back all my tears
Just so the pressure don't show
Like a time bomb ticking away
I might blow up some day
Don't push don't shove
Better watch what you do
When my back's to the wall
I might do anything at all
When my back's to the wall
I might take any chance at all
When my back's to the wall
I might do anything
You've got the upper hand
Well I've got nothing to lose
When I'm trapped in a corner like this
I might light a fuse
Don't push me too far
You better watch what you do
Don't push me too far
You better run for your life
I've got nothing to lose
I might light a fuse
Yeah yeah
Don't come any closer
