I went to a ZZ TOP concert in the 80s. Their stage set was the dashboard of that car. The giant gas guage was on full when it began, and with every song the gas guage went lower and lower until it was on empty. Very cool 😎 band. My favorite ZZ Top song is "Give Me All Your Lovin".

With ZZ Top you got to check out all three of the Eliminator videos: Sharp Dressed Man, Give Me All Your Lovin, and Legs. Then check out the video for Got to Get Paid from La Futura. Almost thirty years between those two albums, but Billy, Frank, and Dusty still know their tube snake boogie.

The car is owned by Billy Gibbons, first featured in videos from the ELIMINATOR album, and became a fixture at many of their concerts. It was even stolen from one but recovered a few hours later unharmed. It was a 32 Ford Coup with a Chevrolet Z-28 engine. At least 2 of the 3 girls were former Playboy Playmates. Back in the 80s at one point, MTV was selling the trademark ZZ keychain.

I will say that this is my favorite ZZ top song and video. Both holds high quality,they reached the top in ZZ Top with this one in my view..and its for sure one of their bigger,if not the biggest? hit....great fun song,great video that is really fun watching...good story...all is great..Another good song they did,is Bad Girl...not as well known maybe,but a good one..really good too.

Billy Gibbons, the lead guitarist and singer of ZZ Top is a huge car nut, and that is his 1933 Ford.
You may find this hard to believe, but MTV used to play nothing but music videos! ZZ Top was one of the first bands to figure out the power of those music videos. They had their signature look with the long beards, and all their videos during that period featured Billy's 33 Ford and the 3 hot chicks.
The car belongs to guitarist Billy Gibbons and is called "Eliminator", it has been in a couple of thier videos.
The car was brought in for videos for the 1983 Eliminator and 1985 Afterburner albums. The car dies in the video Sleeping Bag and resurrects and goes into space for the song Rough Boys if I remember correctly.

If you old school like me, you remember when MTV & BET were both great, could watch those channels all day, yes they were that good. Both trash now .
