Heatran annihilates the OU metagame by clicking a button four times in a row

- why would you use smogon sets when you can use these unholy sets?
While smogon sets are usually functional and make for a good standard use, I see so many people neglect to innovate when it comes to using a set that fits their team, while simultaneously so many people refuse to use what works just for the name of 'innovation' or 'fun'. You can run meme teams that are simultaneously good, you just need to know how. Watching Specs Heatran delete an entire team with one move is funny as hell but I only got to use it like that in perhaps a third of the games I've played with it simply because it's not a terribly consistent set that requires some form of speed support such as Tailwind, Webs or TWave if it wants to do anything against offense, while dying immediately to HP ground on anything. The trapper and specially defensive sets have their purposes in the meta and counter some specific very common Pokémon. It's just not as fun as a literal delete button though.
also eats stall for breakfast
These matches were played at various ELO rankings, from around low 1300's to high 1500's depending on the match. (Spoilers: the smarter players were lower down)

"I have a Chansey and a Toxapex. I'm just gonna stay in with Mega Sab."
Stall might be pretty lame, but that dude had no clue what he was doing.
@@ddshoo5282 sssh, let him have his confidence
@Pm Pik It's Fire Blast, not Overheat, don't know if that makes a difference in a calc because of the Sp. Att drop
@@ddshoo5282 It was Eruption, not Fire Blast. And wasn't it a 2HKO ?
Stall is not lame. Lugia with Recover and Toxic and Eviolite Chansey with toxic and soft boiled would like to know your location.
@@ClemenGG i love how you just believed him when that was a completely insane thing to say lol
So he's the OU version of water spout scarf kyogre, might try that really soon
Honestly the read on the mawile switch made this so much funnier
That last one is so realistic, they just leave once it looks like you can win
Which defeats the whole point of stall. Why play stall If you aren’t trying to turn Cap
stall players are unironically subhuman
i would know, I play stall
As someone who has played stall multiple times in the past, yes, i completely agree.
As someone who plays stall all the time, I 100% agree
@@KrazyFalcon evil rat
As someone who has played almost exclusively stall for the past decade (ever since Gen 4), I can confirm the truth of this statement.
Of course, Stoll is like chess. You're thinking 20 moves ahead. Most people don't play Pokemon to play chess. They play Pokemon for an adrenaline rush based on prediction.
Well...that's their problem. 3:-)
I don't play stall I just fight it so often that I have Xatu and Manaphy with rain dance just help deal with stall (as well as set screens and steal stats but yknow, hydration and magic bounce)
fair and balanced.
Eruption Heatran is the goodest boi.
Scarf eruption is viable now
yo what
explain
@@kierany9 you know how eruption heatran is locked to a speed decreasing nature? Thanks to gen 8's nature mints, that's no longer an issue. Yea there are bullshit fast Pokemon in OU now, but eruption heatran can now be timid as opposed to quiet nature.
@@victorhaydes9065 absolutely heat, deffo gonna check that shit out if i get into the swsh DLC2 meta
@@kierany9 have you seen eleki and glastrier?
@@adamo2359
Isn’t Glastrier slow?
i love how you hit every fire blast and i can't land a single one. i'll stick to eruption, thank you.
That felt so good watching that stall dude forfeit
I know this is old but dude you deserve more views this is well made
Man your editing is great.
You should make more Showdown content. I really enjoy watching it.
such an underrated content creator!
I love that you used Fire Field’s music from F-Zero GX.

Scarf heatran was buffed with the nature thingy but i honestly would prefer specs blast or even specs eruption on a good read. Unfortunately for me im garbage so i can keep dreaming about the specs eruption lol.
Trick room is an option.
But trick room is limited and you have to swap between your mon who can use trick room and heatran
its a shame you cant show us the team
haha eruption go brr
0:01 IS THAT A JOJO REFERENCE???
I love the "stall is for losers" line. Stall has dominated the upper echelons of competitive Pokemon singles for most of the last two decades. So.
Losers win.

do you still have these teams lol

"spoilers: the smarter players were lower down" ironic lol, or was that sarcasm.
1500 in OU is what I'd call peak dunning-kruger zone, you tend to run into a lot of really decent players who wipe the floor with bad players but get equally crushed by somebody competent. So if you know what you're doing, you can run into some stupidly aggressive HO kids at 1500 and beat them easier than someone at 1300 who's a lot worse overall but who doesn't suicide his entire team by turn 10.
@@kierany9 oh, fair, maybe im wrong but i feel like you can know what you are doing while not being that much higher than 1500 tbh. also I don't see players at 1300 that are straight up bad, its obviously not impressive but you cant just not know what you are doing at all from my experience.
Noice 🧣 looks gay on u tho
My Method for Not sucking hard: dont Play xD
5:39 Excuse me? How dare you. Stall is a legitimate strategy and if you can't win against it then all I gotta say is Skill Issue.
