Just wanted to warn everyone that lighter weight is a must, because going heavy on a reverse curl can result in tennis elbow, which is not only surprisingly painful but can sideline your workouts for months. Stay safe with this one.
Can confirm this, though my tennis elbow actually came from work. Been fighting it since May, and it's no fun. Even picking up a cup of water is painful.
It’s no fun having trex arms at the end of a lift because of it
I concur, Tennis elbow is the worst, I got it from thatching my whole front yard with a rake 😑 ugh!
Has any of you guys fix it? I know the pain and it sucks.. i want it to go away!
Jose, I can tell you which exercises to stay away from to help heal in the meantime: no reverse curls, no hammerfist curls, no twisting/supinating curls, no presses including all overhead press variations and bench press variations (but underhanded bench presses are safe, just remember no suicide grip), no upright rows, no overhand bent over rows, no pullups (chin ups are safe). Basically anything that mimics that reverse curl overhand motion is to be avoided. That being said, attempt to improve your grip with isolated forearm curl variations using LIGHT dumbbells.
This guy looks like a spot on mix of Chris Bumstead and David Harbour
I do light reverse curls then curls as a warm up before I do any pressing. If I'm pulling, it's my cool down.
Pro tip: Don't wrap your thumbs around the bar. Keep your thumbs on the same side as your fingers on the bar. It makes a HUGE difference.
Love your stuff. Thanks guys!
Love this exercise!
I was thinking abt doing it today. Now definitely i will do it today. Stay bufffff. ❤
Reverse curls are grossly underrated. That being said, go slowly when first starting out, and stretch those muscles properly. Bad form = bad lift, and bad lift = injuries and no gainz.
Not usually a fan of using the term fast track when it comes to lifting, but these really have made my forearms blow up too, in what would be measured as a short period of time for my training age. No click bait here! Great exercise.
How many times a week?
@@zeeshanrehman6863 14,000 times a week so 2,000 times a day 😎👍
You can do all the curls you want. I found out nothing blows my forearm up like dead hangs after pullups
Great videos thank you.
Reverse and hammer curls got my forearms looking juicy
In how many months?
@@aj7907 I don't remember but I would do them a lot when ever I did biceps. When I did back I would do reverse grip chin ups as well.
@@hakimnelson2271 I been on the same program I never did reverse curls when I first started lifting but once i started i seen results in 2 weeks
Cool thank you.
Thanks. I've been thinking on adding an exercise for my forehead but I didn't want to make my workout even longer so reverse curls will be a good solution.
One of my favorites 💟
"You gotta do whatever you can to get it up".

"You gotta do whatever you can to get it up..."
That's what she said; she's right, too. :D
instructions not clear, ended up cutting it off and replacing with dildo
Next for my home gym: easy curl bar
Gold
I do these curls with dumbells (cause I don't have access to a bar) ...I do these along with zottman curls.
💪💪💪💪
Awesome
Maaaan wish I got that hat when I had the chance 😢
I use it as a drop set if it makes sense. So I've got bi's and forearms on fire.
I really like buff dudes channel. The only point I would make a complain is about the fact that they don't tell us the truth about steroids... It's obvious that they used it or still using... Overall it's great channel.
Lol what, obvious to who?
If you have a squat rack in your home gym you're doing way better than a lot of people most people in my area if they have a home gym basically it's an Olympic weight set no benches no squat racks sometimes they'll have a pull-up bar but that's about it occasionally a few dumbbells
How many sets and reps?
Just do to failure bro
@@davidorlu5785 So 1 set to failure? 🙄
Depends on the training or program you like, me specifically I do 1 set to all out failure, using drop sets or rest pause, that way that particular bodypart is completely destroyed when your done, you can still do the standard 3 or 4 sets 8-10 reps tho, but I just prefer the former
i have stronger rv. curls than normal ones
Did this exercise once and hurt my wrist.
Too heavy, most people can't even do 50% of the weight they normally could with standard curls. Always warm up super light and increase slowly
If you were using a barbell it can hurt your wrists or elbows. There's a trick to the grip where you turn your hands a bit which helps but it's best to use the EZ curl bar since it's got the angle which is more ergodynamic.
@@robloxvids2233 But wouldn't using the ez curl bar shift the focus away?
@cerealkiller5599 I don't think so. But there are tons of ways to isolate the forearm. Just holding dumbbells and extending your wrists upward isolates them, too. And it doesn't take many reps or much weight. Your forearms will be burning in just a few minutes.
