Unavailable in the UK, we had to import this all the way from down under (Australia).
After 8 months of waiting it's final in our possession, it would be rude not to welcome it to the Darkside family without a 1 tyre burn out! 🔥

Even for Australia that's a bit of a unicorn combination, a petrol 2WD single cab Amarok with a styleside tub, pretty much all the single cabs are diesel and/or trayback
Not quite; we had a few single cab tray backs here in South Australia, and a few petrol units were sold here when they first started selling the Amarok, but it is a rare combination. 👍
South Africa would have been an easier bet.
not really, there were heaps of them around when they came out. but vw australia decided they dont wanna sell single cabs anymore
when Ryan doesn't start with a 'Reyt Then' but gets away with it due to a burnout technicality!

Solid burnout from the 2.0L TSI though, haha. Keen to see that TDI swap!

Tune the TSI before you get rid of it, they respond extremely well to modifications, unfortunately there's completely unique to the Amarok in certain ways

Class idea lads my father had an is200 aussie import before no clue how It got into ireland. And also most ships are Panamanian for tax reasons and to avoid certain labour laws as far as I remember 😂😂😂
Very rare truck that. Looks like they’ve fitted the V6 front bumper so you’ll need a V6 grill, headlights and bonnet. That’s why the grill doesn’t fit right. Get some wheel arch extensions and they will clip into those holes on the bumper corners.

My project would be a 2 door V6 Auto lowered, just like the initial concept V6 Amarok from VW. Single cabs here in 🇦🇺 are not as common as the duel cab, your lucky to find one.
Check out Coolum motors, they drag race them. Amarok wizards 🧙♀️
Nasty 1 wheel spin , you need a lsd or a torsen or something on that rear axle, tho i'd prefer if it would be 4wd

i had them shipped to sydney a while ago when i had my caddy. also had GAZ shocks from UK shipped over as i couldnt find anything local at the time

Pedestrian safety 😂 if a pedestrian has made it all the way up and over the windscreen to the light bar I don’t think a few non radiused edges are going to be the thing that causes the most problems 😂 😆
14:42 can see it's had an aftermarket UK MPH dial fitted to the instrument cluster to convert from KMH to MPH. Never liked those dials, they don't 100% match the OEM VW rev counter dial and don't look factory. If you get hold of an Amarok TDi cluster and need it adapting and the mileage setting I'd be happy to help 👍

I don't think they were unprofessional but things could be handled better to make things smoother. Wouldn't have made it any quicker, that's the DVLA!
