Caught the 92 show outdoors in OKC. Vince Neil opened & we were all sitting around casually drinking a beer talking. Lights went down, a pause, & VH opened with this song. Biggest rush of people trying to get to the stage, people throwing beers. I stood in front of Sammy 20 ft away for that 3 hr concert. It was amazing. Keep on Rocking in the Free World was the encore. Good times.
Love Van Hagar!!! Sammy Hagar was a huge rock star even before joining Van Halen. Sammy was 38 when he joined Van Hagar and well into his 40's when he left.
I grew up with VH, I lived 40 miles away! seen them on the sunset strip in the late 70's to VH backyard jams at his and Alex's home in Pasadena! I was at the right place at the right time, Van Halen, is one of the best bands ever! RIP Eddy!
Terrible job on the audio whoever “Restored” this video did. They just compressed the shit out of it. It’s terribly over modules and has several dropouts.
Anything Sammy ever performed was high energy ALWAYS ... amazing vocalist and amazing entertainer.
