Sad to say but this is for the best. More targets for the young guys like BTJ and Parker Washington. His 2022 season will always be electric and for that I thank him
I honestly don't know why they decided to get rid of Zay Jones, to me it don't make sense at all, I believe they would have benefit more by keeping him, cause what if he ends up with the Titans? Cause than not only would the Titans have Calvin Ridley but Zay Jones as well. Now if they decide to have Parker Washington take Zays place than maybe we'd be ok, as long as we see a whole lot better performance and executions on plays, than this team can go far, I just hope the new guys will pull it off and help this team by alot. If all the guys that's staying plus with the new guys, makes this team to finally crush the Chiefs, than I'd be so so happy, it'd be like an early Christmas present!
I did not like the Jaguars cutting Zay Jones. He did a lot for our offense, and he was worth keeping in my opinion. He could of been a reliable 4th string receiver that could rotate receivers a bit. As it is now though, we have a rookie WR and no truly reliable 4th string receiver. So if one of our starter receivers get injured, we will have a big drop off in our passing game.
No real surprise. Zay Jones was supposed to be cut if Calvin Ridley was re-signed, but when he wasn’t, he was kept as insurance. Now that we have BTJ, we don’t need Zay’s cap hit. Joey Slye was a long shot to make the roster anyway.
I agree with everything but zays cap hit was 10 mil if we cut him we have to pay 6 mil in dead cap. We only saved 4 mil by cutting him. It almost seems like the jags did Zay a favor and asked him would he be okay deep down the depth chart or would you like to fight for a starting spot on another team. That would be cool if the jags thought about his future like that.
I think the jags only fell off last year because of WR and QB injuries and not having a good sustained starting center. This year should be a great battle between IND, HOU, and JAX again, but maybe this time with all 3 being in that 11-12 win area instead of 9-10 win area
@@Valid.4l I see it as us Colts and Yall barring injury. because let’s call a spade a spade if both our QBs got hurt in training camp in two weeks who is more prepared? If Lawrence Stroud and Richardson got hurt weeks 1-4. I say depth wise Colts jags then Texans. All the Texans are are a second year QB and old ass stefon diggs one injury to a starter they are done
I really hope they give the young kids a look I am really liking what I seen in highlights from cephus and Ruby I pray to God they don't sign Landry and he's just there to teach them the routes and how to run them
Most have something to do with culture....I don't blame Zay but the incident with the ex may have prompted this. He is a very good receiver though...I think it was a mistake.
Thank u zay for what u did. Go Jags
I am a big fan of Zay and appreciate his time in Jax.
Lots of special memories and wish him the best.
Go Jags

Well put
I’m ok with losing Zay but I just hope he doesn’t go to the chiefs or Texans😬😬
Sad to see Zay go. I loved his deep thinking and calm demeanor. I will always be a fan of Zay unless he goes anywhere in the afc south. Lmao
Good luck to Zay!
We picked up Thomas Jr but also a bunch of UDFA receivers. Have to wonder if Zay's battery charge (which was ultimately dropped) influenced this too.

Zay had flashes but inconsistent I had high hopes for him in 2024 but it is what it is.
I really love this move. More targets for younger guys like Washington. Also don’t sleep on Duvernay!
We definitely have Josh Cephus as well as WR he only had one drop last season and is a deep threat as well.
I hope zay has some success
Zay was dependable...loss in my opinion
He made some great catches, but with the inaccurate passing of Lawrence, you have to have a really wide catch radius.

Zay Jones just isn't mentally right since the arrest incident but thank you for 2022

We did sign that former titan d end
I agree with you 100% you got to remember last year 2022 he led the league in dropped passes dropped a lot of passes this year
I am Jax fan since watching the Jax vs Steelers week 5 Matchup in 2017 while being in the military in Switzerland. Where are my 25'000?
“It was always the Jags!!”
Farewell Zay 😢
Would love to see Zay Jones end up on the Cardinals. The Chargers would be great as well. Anywhere but Tennessee.
Titans or Chiefs will get him. Watch!
Anyone who was expecting wr move knew this was coming
Its already Cams job, must really like him. I do, but I aint a scout xD
4:08, Well he probably did show up to the Jaguars team facility 😊
As a colts fan yall should be better then the titans. Yall have more depth I think then the Texans
Should be? We’re still the best team in the division. Houston is all hype and was handed the division last season. You’ll see 😉
@@gasolinedixon2394 my only concern is yalls GM equipping Peterson and Lawrence.

As a jags fan I see us best in the division. Either us or the Texans

Shiiit I did a bk commercial with Mark brunel in the 6th grade while playing for the undefeated forest view Jags and still didn't get 25k🤦🏾♂️🤣🤣🤣
At bbbbbbkkkkkk have it your way…. YOU RULE! 👑
I know it won't happen but could we trade for Marshawn lattimore?
Damn 25k 😂😂😂
I'm not ok losing zay at all
AJ bouye.. wasn't he a Texan first?? Pretty decent corner
He didn't say it never happened it said its rare
Didn’t he come from Denver? Or did we trade him there?
@@jimmymcfly9822 he was a texan before we picked him up, we traded him to denver when we blew up that defense.

Well his last name is Slye after all
Should have kept Zay. He caught more bad passes than any other Jag in recent memory.
I can see the bills picking him up
cost cutting
Why? I got it he was hurt? But he had chemistry with TLaw
$$$
@@DreBruhMoney. The battery charge last fall. It’s was bound to happen at some point.
No, he didn't and he was always hurt, he sorry. We better off
Zay Consistently caught passes they gave his spot to Gabe Davis another guy who dropped alot of passes in buffalo
@@DreBruh it's not about money dude said it was only 4.2m
This stupid we could have just traded for ayuk and gave them first round pick and been in the better position than now damn
We should have traded for Brandon aiyuk
Trevor +2500 mvp +7500 OPOY
I appreciate 2022 but he needed to go
We did not get better ucf they went to buffalo got Gabe Davis and could have got diggs this is the dumbest franchise ever
stupid move
