On the ZF8 topic, I installed the VAP/HPTuner ZF8 TCU tune on my F-Type and its the biggest change of any car technology I've driven, maybe, ever. I've been driving sports cars for 40 years and I'm still trying to understand what its doing. Example: each gear has, sort of, its own effective transmission, in that, at a fairly constant mph, each selected gear can range from idle RPM to above its natural geared RPM depending on pedal position. I guess its gradually unclamping while in each gear from neutral to full clamp to produce any resultant RPM it wants, without a numerical gear change. That, plus the rev matching is insane. You can run through all 8 gears and back as fast as you can paddle -- and where ever you stop, you are, in fact, in that gear. The RPM doesn't budge and you cant feel any gear changes, and acceleration is constant and adjustable via pedal position. I expected shifts to be violent, but now, its the most luxurious and transparent transmission I've ever driven. Drive mode does a much better job at following your foot, its actually an option now. I'm pretty shocked by it, and each time I drive things get seem to get even more mysterious. Its supposed to shave 2 to 4 tenths off the 1320, I don't doubt that it might. The ZF8 is an incredibly versatile and programmable machine.

What do you drive?
@@decodeddiesel A Fiat 😱😂
I think scotty is right , he did say that its a BMW and reliability doubtful , it is a car for enthusiast , you don' t care about repairs , but for me I will never buy a BMW , they are plastic crap and is getting worst every year , lots of BMW engineer are leaving them , they will selling plastics because people love them and they do not care , if we all take economic sanctions against BMW , may it will change until then , keep buying their crap !!!
They do have a lot of plastic, they make it really hard to keep them. I am debating on getting rid of my x5-4.8 with 63K on it, I just don't want the headaches and the costs at this point in my life, reliability is number one right now I want stability no surprises - what good is the ultimate driving machine if it is always broke or in the shop - Why doesn't BMW understand this, they brag about engineering how. about making a reliable car for once - now I will get hate from the fan bois that nothing has ever went wrong with their BMW and we all know they are full of BS
@@johnhender I'd say be picky on what BMW your buying. Any bmw with a 40i is pretty much the most reliable out of the group since they more or less have way less issues compared to their V8s/I4s. Quiet literally you just have to be picky on what model your picking that has a engine with less issues compared to others when its BMW.
@@carboydorifutoparty3976 Actually I will probably never buy a BMW again they are pretty but not built to last when I buy I like to keep a car a long time BMW makes my Audi’s seem reliable , luxury is supposed to mean free of worry, I have had enough of BMW headaches, for the money I paid I could have bought 3 Honda’s . Lexus has actually been the most reliable car I have ever owned no problem just oil changes BMW needs to get their act together I have one more ICE car in me after that it will definitely be Japanese- because the Germans cannot make reliable electronics it they can’t make an engine ECU work right how will they make the brain for the whole care reliable - I have little doubt they can make a reliable electric car- suv but I know the Japanese can and will all day long
@@johnhender German electronics is worst on the planet , just like their Tank in thesecond world war , it breaks every 100 km , thats why they lost the war , the spent more time fixing their sht than their enemies , as an electron-technician , I can tell you for sure , German electronics is very poor , I have seen circuit exploded in fron of me , my friend could have lost his eyes if he did not have his safety glasses on .When you buy an expensive car , we assume reliability is their , it is up to you to drive conservatively or not . But for regular driving , it still break and cracks , picing off fluid , chinese cars do not do that. WE the help of computers they cannot even run electrical wire properly , this is basic , I think they just take people for uneducated " give those american this piece of shit , they will pay for it " they don't care , VW lemon , Audi lemon , Mercedes Benz now the last time I read , they have been hiding revision on cars , the are only cheap revision .
Do like the Korean are doing , they know they are poor designers and tuners , the employ BMW and Audi engineers to Design and tune their cars and their Engineers are doing the electronics and Mechanics , this is what I call sincere engineering . I cannot trahs them all because I owe a Benz.
Stop tell lies how many u owen
Thanks
BMW has never been reliable.. Several Recalls in less than a year. Service required 3 x times mores than a full Japanese engine and the price uuuhhh
The same car.
The Supra is ugly as hell, the rear end is strange looking.
Jealousy.
MK4 A80 Supras , when first released to the general public in the early 1990s(1993) wasn't well liked either.....it was criticized for being too different to the MK3 A70 Supra along with not having the Pop-Up-Headlights and being regarded as a "budget Front Engine Ferrari"🤷
how long has BMW been making SUPRAs?
For a few years niw
